Blackpool Illuminations
2007-09-16 03:08:05
Blackpool Illuminations are considered as the greatest free lights show on this planet, it is a major part of Blackpool's attractions. It's main event is the Big Switch On which Hubby and I missed, not because we forgotten all about it but due to the traffic we decided to omit the idea of going. From 31 August to 4 November this year, there will be a weekly show of fireworks at the Central Promenade. This is in conjunction with the World Fireworks Championship, we both missed the first two but managed to catch the third one while trapped in traffic. Simply glorious is the apt way of describing the whole fireworks display. This year four countries are taking part Portugal, Canada, Austria and of course the UK. A celebratory display of fireworks will be held during the finals which promises an out of this world display! If you are in the area, make sure you keep these dates open for the future 21st and 28th September 2007, it starts roughly at 8:30pm, however it is advisable to leave much ...

Recent Vacation
2007-09-16 02:34:54
These are few pictures of my recent vacation visiting Ann at Suisse. First day it was a day trip to Milan , where I was totally mesmerized with its charm and architecture. Day two was split into two visits, Bern in the morning and Luzern in the afternoon. Day three we went to Waldshut, Germany. Everything was so cheap here and I felt like shopping like mad, but common sense held me back. In the afternoon we were at Baden, where Ann currently resides. It was a fantastic trip, all my gratitude to Ann who took the time to show me around and managed to squeeze in two other countries into my short itinerary. I have never been to either Suisse,Germany or Italy before , even though in total I have been living in UK for 6 years (with a gap in between of 5 years). Am very pleased that I made the decision to just go ahead with my plans. ...
