Use Blogger At Your Own Risks! Now I Learned My Lesson!
2008-04-07 07:13:00
Hi Guys,My blog has been down for a few weeks.I would like to share what happened...I was using ftp for my blog all these while, and the restrictions for using ftp is, I will not be able to use widgets, the new blogger theme and all those stuffs unless I made changes directly to the html codes.. which I have been doing...But few weeks back I decided I would like to switch my blog from ftp to custom domain so that I can fully utilize the features available. That was when the nightmare begins...To use custom domain, I need to change the cname of my domain to point to google, which I did after getting my host support to do it (I am using hostgator and I cannot change myself)But when I tried to switch over to custom domain, it gave the error message "Another blog is already hosted at this address". Initially I thought I did something wrong with the cname, but after checking with the blogger forum, I realised this is a very famous BUG of blogger.I tried all the workaround given in the forum ...

Get Unplugged!
2008-03-05 08:03:00
This is the March etips from Goals-2-Go from Vic Johnson. Like this article, because this is what I am doing right now. I am starting a new routine to jog every week, and to play my basketball games twice a week.I feel great after a workout, and love the feeling of having a fresh and clearer mind! So get unplugged and go for a walk ya!Cheers! :DCritical factors in goal achievement are your physical health and mental well-being.The seasons are changing. For some of us winter is almost over and we are seeing early signs of spring. While on the other side of the world you may be enjoying summer and heading into fall.We spend so much of our lives indoor, in front of our computers, in our homes and offices. LOTS of air conditioning! It is time for some OUTSIDE conditioning. Yes, it does take effort to get up earlier, or plan a to eat lunch in the park, or take your walking or jogging attire with you so that you can get on the hike and bike trail. Yes, effort. But isn't that what you have be ...

Where Do I Begin? - Love Story
2008-03-04 01:44:00
Received this beautiful story from Facebook - "Sweet Video of the Week" and would love to share it with all of you :)Told as a flashback, this is an uncomplicated love story between two star-crossed lovers-students, Harvard pre-law hockey player Oliver Barrett IV (Ryan O'Neal) and Radcliffe music student Jenny Cavilleri (Ali MacGraw). Oliver narrates the opening line of the film, looking back:What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant? That she loved Mozart and Bach, the Beatles, and me?The film's two most touching and remembered scenes are their prolonged kissing scene and the montage of the couple tossing snowballs at each other. After meeting many obstacles and making sacrifices, she is diagnosed as terminally ill when she is tested for pregnancy, and dies in his arms at the hospital in a tear-inducing closing. he makes a last request of him: "You, after all - you're going to be a merry widower." "I won't be merry," he responds. ...

The Perspective Song
2008-02-23 05:51:00
Another inspiring story to teach us to look at things in another way. I like this story because I often tell myself to look at things another way, but many times I am emotionally and mentally so affected that I refused to do so! Yes, I wanted to get angry about it!Wouldn't it be nice to have more friends like the truck driver in our life? :DThe Perspective SongOne day, not long ago, I decided to re-send the attitude-changing philosophy in "A Course in Miracles." Three years before, in its simple to follow lesson-a-day, the Course had helped me cultivate new levels of inner peace. I figured I could use more of the same. Within the first few weeks, I came upon a lesson that showed me I'd figured well. The lesson was: "There is another way of looking at this." The idea is to apply the lesson as often as possible throughout the day, to whatever situation is before you.Okay, I thought. Simple enough. I'll go apply "There is another way of looking at this," to my day. No problem. The trouble w ...

Running Your Own Race
2008-02-09 17:37:00
Today I like to share a story from Jill Koenig. I fully agreed with "Running Your Own Race". Many times, I compared myself with others, how much they earn, what they have achieved, and how lucky they always seem to be and felt demoralized!Often, I forgot that we are competing with different goals, some times even different races!Do not get discouraged when others are doing better, what's more important is, did we achieve the goal we set for ourselves? What others have achieved is what we can aim for, but for now, focus on our immediate achievable goal!Running Your Own RaceThink back to a time in your life when you tried something new. When I was a teenager I volunteered to work the water station at a 10k race. It was called the "Heaven Can Wait" 10k run and ironically, it was sponsored by the local cemetery. My job was to pass out water to the runners. I remember being so excited to see all the different kinds of people who passed by and grabbed a cup of water. Some ranpast, some walked ...

Edison Chen And His Scandal Photos
2008-02-07 15:53:00
Recently, someone has been circulating scandalous nude photos of Edison Chen and famous actress like Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan, and Cecilia Cheung making it out on bed.Initially, when the photos just started circulating, the actresses involved ferociously denied that they are real, and threatened to sue the person who circulate. They insist that the photos are doctored and they have never done such a thing.Soon the polices are involved and people are locked up for questioning, more and more evidence proved that these photos are real. The same actress that shouted foul now cried in front of media, said they are being "victimized", and one even attempted suicide...And all these while, Edison remains silence, until recently he recorded a short video to publicly apologize to the actress that are involved and asked all who have downloaded the photos to delete them.I like the reaction of Edison, he did not choose to hide, deny the facts or lie through his teeth, but instead, he choose to answ ...

Success Happens by Design
2007-12-06 08:27:00
The following study was conducted at Yale University in 1953. Inthat year, a batch of fresh graduates was surveyed, and in thisbatch, only 3% had their goals written down. Some of their goals included: 'being a best-selling novelist, starting a computer company and taking it public, running forPresident etc...'97% of the students had no clearly defined goals written down. Manyof them chose to adopt the 'whatever will be, will be' mindset, possibly popularized by a hit '50s musical titled 'Que Sera Sera'(Whatever will be, will be).Twenty years later, a follow up study revealed that the 3% ofstudents who wrote down their goals earned a combined income threetimes greater than the combined income of the 97% who had no goalswritten down. This surely shows the incredible power of goal setting.I can tell you that if I did not sit down 14 years ago and designmy life the way that I wanted it to unfold, I certainly wouldn'thave achieved what I have right now. I would be somewhere else, probably doing ...

The Champion Within
2007-12-05 06:47:00
How to Find the Olympian Within by Denis Waitley (excerpted from The Seeds of Greatness Treasury book) You're standing on the highest pedestal, the one in the center. You hear the roar of approval from the crowd. As the first note of the national anthem is played in the Olympic stadium, you feel all the pride and honor that accompanies this moment. Ten thousand hours of preparation for this one triumphant moment in history. You've won the gold! That dream of an Olympic championship is in the heart of every amateur athlete, just as the Grand Final, World Cup, Super Bowl and Wimbledon are the goals of professional football players and tennis players. What are your dreams? You're most likely not a world-class athlete, but surely you have aspirations of your own. Perhaps you imagine a metaphorical gold medal being placed around your neck by the CEO of your company, or by your friends and family for being the best in your own unique way. Maybe you wond ...

Follow One Course Until Successful
2007-12-01 03:07:00
This morning while reading the book "Why We Want You To Be Rich" by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, I came across this acronym for the word "Focus" which I find very meaningful!F = FollowO = OneC = CourseU = UntilS = SuccessfulMany times we tried once, then twice, then 3rd times.. it just doesn't seems to work. You persevere and keep trying.. you revise the mistakes, change the methods, but it still fails.. finally you give up, believing that you have tried your best and concluded that Success just doesn't belongs to you.But once you choose to give up, you FAILED! It doesn't matter you have only tried once or 100 times, the result is still the same. You FAILED. The moment you give up, you FAILED!If Edison gave up after 900 times, we will not have the world we are living in today!Success is not a single step journey, it has a lot of steps to take, and each failed attempt is just another step closer to the final destination. You can take a rest if you are too tired, but never ever give ...

Life Is So Fragile
2007-11-19 16:11:00
Its been more than a month since I last post. Please accept my most sincere apology.I have decided to take a break, as I was feeling overwhelmed and desperately requiring a time off. Well, my initial short break turns out to be longer than I expected! In actual fact, I am still not fully ready to come back... but something else happened that changed my mind. I have just learned the news of my friend who just passed away in an accident in Yale. I am not close to him, but still.. the news has shaken me a little...Suddenly I felt that life is so unpredictable.. so fragile.. Pierre was pursuing his dreams and studying in Yale.. when the future looks so bright and promising, a freak accident is all it took to destroy everything...We will never know what's going to happen to us tomorrow.. make our life worthwhile today.. live it to the fullest, leaves no regrets...P.S. Did not expect to start my blog with such a sad news.. sorry about it...P.S.S Sincere apology to those who email me and I did ...

What Is The Difference Between Honesty And Integrity?
2007-10-12 07:25:00
Hi guys, Thank you for all the comments. Really appreciate them. Please accept my sincere apology for not able to post another article sooner. I do not want to use an excuse for lack of time, I would rather say i need to improve my time management skills quite significantly!Today I saw a comment from Erin for my post on "Maintaining Honesty And Integrity", an article I have excerpted from Jim Rohn's weekly ezine, and I wanted to reply his question in this new article instead of just a comment, as i think this a very good discussion.Erin said...Albert,Way to go for looking at your weakness, taking ownership of it and working to get out of debt. Very commendable. So many people just try to ignore it in hopes it goes a way.Honesty and integrity are BIG values to attain. Through diligent and constant attention I think we can all achieve these values. I think the most difficult part in achieving them is in finding their essence and true definition. How would you differentiate between these ...

Maintaining Honesty and Integrity
2007-09-29 19:58:00
For a leader, honesty and integrity are absolutely essential to survival. A lot of business people don't realize how closely they're being watched by their subordinates. Remember when you were a kid in grammar school, how you used to sit there staring at your teacher all day? By the end of the school year, you could do a perfect imitation of all your teacher's mannerisms. You were aware of the slightest nuances in your teacher's voice - all the little clues that distinguished levels of meaning that told you the difference between bluff and "now I mean business". And you were able to do that after eight or nine months of observation. Suppose you had five or ten years. Do you think there would have been anything about your teacher you didn't know? Now fast forward and use that analogy as a manager. Do you think there's anything your people don't know about you right this minute? If you haven't been totally aboveboard and honest with them, do you really think you've gotten away with it? ...

7 Strategies To 7 Figures
2007-09-25 16:39:00
I would like to share the 7 strategies Matt Morris (President and founder of Success University) used to help him achieved 7 figures income for six time repeatedly.1. Dream BIGYou must first have a big dream if you want to achieve anything. And no matter how big is your dream, it is always too small.2. Become an EXPERTBecome an expert in the area you wanted to excel in. You become an expert when you know more than 99% of the population. And by reading 5 books on a subject, you will know more than 99% of the population! To absorb well and learn faster, read the books as though you are going to give a training on the subject after reading.3. Create a Game PlanSet a goal. Then set a deadline for your goal. Find out the purpose behind your goal. Why do you want to achieve the goal? Then create the game plan to achieve the goal with the deadline.Breakdown your goal into smaller goals. Before you can earn $1 million, you need to earn $100,000 first. Before you earn your first $100,000, you ne ...

Success University World Tour in Singapore
2007-09-21 09:41:00
Hi all, I believe by now there should be a lot of posts on Success University World Tour in Singapore on Wednesday this week.I'm glad that I was at the seminar, where I am the first group of people in Singapore to witness the new video and magazine. This was also the first time that i saw Matt Morris (The president and founder of Success University) in person. I can feel his passion when he shared his Vision and Mission for Success University.Success is not only measure by wealth. Success is measured by all areas of life in family, wealth, health and happiness!I'm glad that I am part of this wonderful University of Success, where I can access so many great resources from so many highly successful people. To be frank, the energy level at the seminar is a bit low, perhaps it was Wednesday night where everybody is tired after whole day at work. But I am one of the few that is very motivated by what I saw and heard. Because Matt's vision resonate with mine. When he mentioned Warren Buffett do ...

How To Become a Master Communicator And Influence People
2007-09-17 17:26:00
How do we become a master communicator, someone who is always able to influence others in a powerful way? What happens when we do not get the response that we want? We have two choices! We can choose to blame the other person for not being receptive, for being unreasonable, close minded, stupid etc... But you know what? By doing this, there is nothing more we can do about it! We have shut the door on them. For traditional communication theory, when two people communicate, both have an equal, i.e. 50% responsibility, for the success of the communication. In other words, if A is talking and attempting to sell B an idea. A can do his best to communicate, but 50% of the success of his communication lies with BIf B has a closed mind and does not want to listen, the communication can never be successful. So is B to be blamed for the unsuccessful communication?Unfortunately, people who accept this theory never become effective communicators. Why? Because by accepting this theory, we will always ...

Lessons From Evan Almighty
2007-09-14 17:12:00
Recently I watched the movie "Evan Almighty" by Steve Carell. It was really funny and stupid, and I have had a really good laugh. By the way, the Evan dance was really ugly!! hahaaBut then I realized the movie was trying to bring some messages across. The very first thing I have learned was "ARK". Now then I know that ARK means Acts of Random Kindness! If we want to change the world, what we need to do is just An Act of Random Kindness at a time! After the movie, I kept thinking about this phrase, "An Act of Random Kindness at a time". Big goals like changing the world start with small little things around us. If every person does an act of random kindness to the people, animals and environment around them at a time, this world will definitely become a much better place! My girlfriend who watched with me remembered another scene, where god (who is played by excellent Morgan Freeman) asked, "When you pray for courage, will god gives you courage, or the opportunity to show your courage?" W ...

The Key To Absolute Power
2007-09-13 15:22:00
Another great article from Adam Khoo.Enjoy =)Do you want to be in control of your life and create the results you desire? To be in a position of power and change whatever is not working in your life? Do you want to be able to change the people around you, the results you produce and even how you feel? Most people believe that power and control are limited to the fortunate few who were born into power (e.g.: the tycoon's son), or acquire power through exceptional talent, business acumen or lady luck. They believe (and we'll prove them wrong), that the rest of us are destined to be buffeted by whatever winds of change swirl around us. Economic slowdown, recession, company takeovers are the common winds of change. The truth is, you do not need to have money or be in a top position to take control over what happens. In fact, people at the helm can also lose control...with much bigger consequences.Look at the CEOs who watch their company's profits nose-dive helplessly in a bear market.Or what ...

An Email From Patrick
2007-09-11 16:01:00
Today I like to share something very special. It is an email reply from Patrick, a friend I know through Success University.I sent him an email telling him that having a mentor that you can speak face to face is very important, but his reply left a very deep impression on me. He spoke of his own experience, and why having a mentor although important, is not enough if you cannot find your own core desire, the truth!Although I disagree with Jack Zufelt's argument that goals setting, visualization and all other techniques are useless, but I totally agreed that finding our core desire is the first and most important step towards our exceptional living. Because our core desire gives us the fire, the continuous abundant source of motivation and burning desire that keeps us going even in the most unfavorable and dreadful situation.Enjoy the email excerpt below, it is really inspiring.Cheers!Hi there Albert,I appreciate you writing to me.I can understand how you feel about those things you men ...

The Story of Sylvester Stallone
2007-09-09 08:51:00
Today I would like to excerpt a newsletter from Adam Khoo, talking about the story of Sylvester Stallone, who made his dream of stardom a MUST! He tried so many times, and rejected so many times, that average people would have given up long ago, and if he gave up, we would have no more Rocky or Rambo Blockbusters!Surely one of the best examples of the power of commitment and how doing whatever it takes will get you what you want' is the story of Sylvester Stallone. At his peak, Stallone was one of the most popular and highly paid stars in Hollywood, commanding a fee of US$20m per movie. Was he just born under a lucky star? Was he a naturally talented actor? Was he at the right place at the right time? Hardly. He was someone who seemed to have all the odds stacked up against him.His family was so poor that his mother had to give birth to him on the doorsteps of a school. A blotched delivery by students caused a facial nerve to be severed, leaving him paralyzed on the right side of his fac ...

The Wealth Paradox
2007-09-08 15:58:00
Below is an article excerpted from Roger Hamilton's "Your Life, Your Legacy". It reflects perfectly the 60 seconds video that explans its definition of wealth, which i totally agreed with! This is also the reason I am working hard to improve myself and my wealth intelligence!Evelyn Adams won the New Jersey lottery not once but twice, in 1985 and 1986.All $5.4 million of winnings has since evaporated - mostly into Atlantic City slot machines. Relegated to living in a trailer in a trailer park, Adams said, "I wish I had the chance to do it all over again. I'd be much smarter about it now."William "Bud" Post won $16.2 million in the Pennsylvania lottery. He invested in a car and restaurant business. Within a year he found himself $1 million in debt and went on to declare bankruptcy. To make matters worse, his brother was arrested for hiring a hit man to assassinate him so he could claim the winnings for himself."Bud" now lives on Social Security saying, "I wish it had never happened. 10 Virtually Instant Ways To Improve Your Life
2007-09-07 17:30:00
This is a very nice article that I would like to share with all of you. Enjoy =)~~~~~~~~~Many of our problems come from within our own minds. They aren’t caused by events, bad luck, or other people. We cause them through our own poor mental habits. Here are 10 habits you should set aside right away to free yourself from the many problems each one will be causing you.Stop jumping to conclusions. There are two common ways this habit increases people’s difficulties. First, they assume that they know what is going to happen, so they stop paying attention and act on their assumption instead. Human beings are lousy fortune-tellers. Most of what they assume is wrong. That makes the action wrong too. The second aspect of this habit is playing the mind-reader and assuming you know why people do what they do or what they’re thinking. Wrong again, big time. More relationships are destroyed by this particular kind of stupidity than by any other.Don’t dramatize. Lots of people inflate small ...

2007-09-06 11:08:00
Secret 9 - The Power of FaithWherever there is faith, there is life!Faith is the truth you pursue of all things in life, evidents that are not yet discover. Faith is the belief of your mind. It is the solution to all things, the hopes of all expectations, and the light at the end of the tunnel. Faith is a force that can shift a mountain.Faith can be found in daily living, in our heart and in the ultimate power above. Although many medical professionals ridicules this saying, but it is a fact that these professionals refuse to see and acknowledge.Faith is the bridge that links our soul with the higher power, power that is even stronger than our thoughts. We need to have faith in the ultimate power that created our universe. People give it different names in the like of god, lord, infinite intelligence, etc.. whatever we call it is not important, what's important is having faith in such power that is much stronger than ourselves. To achieve abundant health, not only do we need nutrients f ...
