How to get quality inbound links & SEO tips
2007-10-13 15:12:44
In this days, it's every blogger's dream to get known as "the king of the hill", online. In search engine optimization ( SEO ), to be the king of the hill means to have as many sites as possible linking to your own, one-way. Search Engine Optimization represents a way to prepare your site to rank higher in the search engine results pages. The methods used by various webmasters or bloggers can be either clean, such as continuously adding more useful content to the site or blog or making the navigation menus easier to use, or "dirty" methods, such as keyword stuffing or link farming ( of course, there more good and bad ways that you can use. The above listed are just examples ).When you get one-way links to your website, it means that you get inbound links. Search Engine giants like Google, how has the Page Rank System, place a lot of value on this inbound links and this because the higher the page rank is, the more votes of confidence a site will receive. Being at the top of the SERPs ( ...

Would you like to blog and make money, for an entire year, without worrying how will you get this money in your pocket?Well, this thing is possible. And you really don't have to do anything out of the ordinary. You don't have to buy anything, pay for expensive software or create a new, professional blog. Once you do that, you create your own profile and get a voting badge, which you can place it on your blog and ask people to vote for you. The more votes you get, the more chances to win the competition you have. The aim of this website is to raise about $160,000 for this competition, through donations. This is not a website which is supported by advertisers, the only sources of raising this sum of money are the bloggers who join the website and would like to contribute for the $160,000 fund. The stats of this blog
2007-10-10 20:06:49
This is the post number 101! Already 100 articles posted on this blog, in under 3 months. I've realized that the time goes by fast. About 2 months and a half ago I've created the first 4 or 5 posts that started this blog, on 5th of august 2007. And now, I reached the post number 101..it wasn't easy, but I got here. If I'll keep updating my blog on a daily basis, I'll get to 202 posts in the next 2 and a half months. When I first started this blog, I wasn't getting any significant traffic. But now, I get up to 30 visitors per day. It is not too much, but this situation will change over the following months, when the blog will grow. Currently, the main source of traffic for my blog is LinkReferral. This website sent over 200 visitors so far this month to me. The other sources of traffic are the search engines ( especially Google ) and other sites to which I've linked up to. I'm also promoting my blog via social bookmarking websites, free links directories and other free traffic sources, ...

ScriptLance Project UPDATE
2007-10-09 12:01:42
I've managed to complete the Script Lance project I was talking about in a previous post. In case some of you don't know what the project was about, I will tell you right now. I was assigned an easy project: to rewrite 10 articles, about opt in mailing lists and to deliver it until yesterday. And the job was done and the articles were sent back to the guy who wanted me to do this job for him. After he received his rewritten articles, he paid me into my Script Lance account $20. Initially, I agreed to complete the project for him for $15, but I was surprised to see that he actually paid me 5 extra bucks. It was a pleasure for me to do this easy task for Glen ( the guy who hired me for the project ) and I will work with him again, if he needs me, because he really is a nice guy, who know what he wants and appreciates others' work. He always communicated with me and me with him, during the time I was working to complete the task. This is a very important aspect, when you work as freelance ...

Invalid clicks or impressions on Google Ads
2007-10-09 11:17:21
I've just finished reading all my emails, when I came up on one, from Google, in which I was warned that I've generated invalid clicks or impressions, for the Adsense ads that I'm serving on my blog. This is funny, because I don't remember doing such a thing. Here is the actual email that the guys from Google sent me:" Hello Tiberius,It has come to our attention that invalid clicks or impressions havebeen generated on the Google ads on your site(s) through users ofthird-party programs paid or provided with other incentives to visityour site. Such programs include, but are not limited to auto-surf,pay-to-surf, pay-to-read, or pay-to-click sites. Please bear in mind that if we continue to detect invalid clicks orimpressions from these services on your ads, we may disable youraccount to protect our advertisers. In addition, we may adjust yourfuture payments for any days during which invalid clicks occurred inorder to properly credit advertisers for any invalid activity. We understand that yo ...

The Story of a Scammer - part two -
2007-10-08 19:20:53
Yesterday, I've started to tell you the story of a scammer who I have personally met myself and talked to. Today, I will continue with the second part of this short story, so please read on..[...] Then I thought it is better not to talk to loud about what this guy was doing online. So, I've decided that I shouldn't talk about his "dirty businesses" while we were in public places, but rather to do it only when no one was listening. From that day on, this was like our little secret.I was wondering how much money he is making, by extorting people online? So, I asked him who much he manages to rake in for a successful scam. He answered that the amount of money may be different, depending on what he was "selling" on EBay. But he usually got between 200 and 500 dollars per transaction. And he was able to complete about 2 or 3 transactions per month. Not bad for him, right? I mean, are you able to make this money in a month, let's say, as an average blogger? Maybe not.. But what was he actual ...

The Story of a Scammer - part one -
2007-10-07 14:52:42
I was talking about some types of scams that you may encounter, as an active Internet user, a couple of posts ago. I think that some of you will going to ask me if I actually encountered a real scammer, face to face..Yes, I did. And I will tell you his story immediately.. Now, I'm not promoting any types of scams nor I'm going to praise this guy for what he was doing. I'm just going to tell you his story and how he ended not to scam people anymore. So, let's start..I first met this guy about 1 year and half ago, when I've started my first year at the University where I'm currently studying, in my hometown called Pitesti ( located in Arges District, Romania ). He was in the same group of students with me, at Marketing. I didn't knew who he was, or what he was doing for a living, because I haven't met him before. But soon, we started to talk to each other and to be more friendly than we were until then. He seemed to be a nice guy, with no intentions to harm anyone or to show off to others ...

The $10 video review
2007-10-06 15:44:50
If you want to have your blog reviewed in a professional way, then you could ask Charles Lau to do this for you. He won't do it for free, but this video review idea is really interesting. Once he will review your blog, the video will appear on his blog, at Charles Lau.com. Some of the blogs he has reviewed so far are: John Cow ( do not mistake it with John Chow's blog, because this are 2 separate and unrelated blogs ), Webtalks, Carl Ocab, and many others. Now, let me express my opinion about the video reviews Charles Lau made so far: the quality of the reviews is a bit low and, when I watched the one made for Webtalks, I couldn't clearly understand what Charles was saying, probably because of some audio problems that he had during the recordings ( the sound of the review was a bit too low, even though I've turned my headphones' volume to the max and couldn't understand what he was talking about..it sounded like mumbling to me :( ). I do not want to criticise Charles Lau's efforts of r ...

Introducing WidgetBucks
2007-10-05 15:21:03
I've just signed up for a new money making opportunity a few days ago, but didn't had the time to present it here, on My PPC Advertising blog. I was searching for a new way to make money with my blog, when I came across this new opportunity. You'll probably gonna ask me what's WidgetBucks ? And how this is gonna help you earn some more cash blogging ? First of all, this opportunity is similar to AmasenseAds or AuctionAds, meaning that you will display a banner on your blog that presents products which are for sale, such as laptops, books, photo cameras and more. The difference between WidgetBucks and AmasenseAds or AuctionAds is that you do not have to make a sale, to make money. Nope..This is not a CPA kind of opportunity ( CPA stands for Cost Per Action, meaning that you're getting paid IF a visitor makes a purchase of a product that you promote ). But, this is a PPC opportunity, just like Google Adsense or Bidvertiser. You get paid for EVERY click received from your visitors, without ...

You've probably consider that it's time for you to use Google Adwords to advertise your site, to get more visitors, more subscribers, more customers etc. You've done some research in the PPC advertising world and came to the conclusion that Adwords is the best advertising platform for you. But maybe you haven't used too many PPC advertising platforms and you don't know how to start on Adwords. So that's why I've compiled this topic, to let you know how to do it correctly. Please read the following lines.. 1. You go to “https://adwords.google.com/select/” , then you press the " Click to begin " button. 2. A screen will appear, prompting you to choose the languages and the countries where you want your ad to appear. If your website is in English, then select "English" and the countries to which you want your website to be advertised to. 3. Once you've completed this step, you can start creating your ad. You have a limit of 25 characters for the title and 35 characters for the body of ...

ScriptLance Project
2007-10-03 15:18:36
Well, the good news for me is that I have been choosen to complete a project at ScriptLance. I won't gonna be rich after completing it, but I will make some money..about $15, which is not bad at all.So, what do I have to do, to earn $15? The task is very simple: an individual webmaster contacted me, after I've posted a bid for his project. He wants me to rewrite 10 articles for him and to submit it to a couple of article directories websites. This is not a hard task, as you may believe. I do article rewriting almost every time I post an new topic here, at my blog. Of course, not all the topics you may have read or you'll read are rewritings of articles. There also topics that I have created myself, without the need of an article, as source of inspiration. I'm not posting only money making opportunities, pay per click advertising tips or blogging tips on my blog, so there's no need to read any article when I decide to write about a certain topic, regarding an event such as this one I'm ...

How many blog posts should you make?
2007-10-02 14:52:44
This is may today's question. I usually make about a post per day, every day, which makes it 7 posts per week. There are also exceptions, when I post more than one topic, if the information I found are really interesting and useful and deserve to be mentioned on my blog. If there are no interesting topics in the day I decide to post, then I search for one topic which is the most informative and has good content, and I'll post it on the blog. Sometimes, I even create off topic posts, or miscellaneous posts, where I talk about other things, such as personal trips, reviews of other fellows bloggers etc. It's not bad to have some off topic posts from time to time. I believe that people who visit my blog should also relax a bit, reading about other funny or interesting topics, others than making money online, pay per click advertising, self-improvement tips, free traffic tips, free blogging tips etc., which are usually posted on a daily basis. There are bloggers which spend more time bloggi ...

Using PLR articles for your blog's content
2007-10-01 19:45:45
PLR articles ( Private Label Rights ) are a good source of content for a blog or site that has a certain topic, which isn't that easy to do it yourself. There are people who like to write articles and are really good at this. So for them, writing articles and having a steady and good flow of website or blog content is an easy task. But there are also people who'd like to have good and interesting content for their sites or blogs, so their visitors can have what to read and learn, while surfing the Web, but they don't like to write it themselves, or simply have no time to do it. What should they do? There are a couple of options: 1. To hire some article writers, which will charge them a lot per every article written 2. To search for ready-made articles and to buy some ( which also can be expensive ) or 3. To search for free articles, or Private Label Rights articles, which are usually a lot inside a package and should cover those webmasters' needs. Option number 3 looks very good, if ...

The GDI Business
2007-09-30 13:44:55
Have you heard about the new wave? But what's the new wave, anyway? Well, I'm talking about the new domain names wave. The first one was at the beginning of the early '90's and was the Dot com ( .com ) wave. Those who took advantage of that very profitable business opportunity are now millionaires ( seriously speaking ). They knew what to do and how to make the wave work for them, and that's the main reason why they got rich. But now, everyone has a .com domain ( well, almost everyone ). So, you can't really say that you're gonna be rich by selling the .com domains, but you'll still make money if you have a hosting company that also sells domain names. The first wave is gone, and you couldn't take advantage of grabbing your own "piece of the dot com pie ".But no need to worry, because the second domain names wave is just about to "hit" us all. It all started a couple of years ago, with GDI Inc., from United States, a company that sells dot ws domains ( .ws ) and a very complete hosting ...

Having a great idea for a blog is not enough
2007-09-28 15:49:43
Indeed, just by having a great idea for your blog is not enough in this days. You may plan to start a blog about something that you know about and you'd like to share it with the world, but because there are a lot of other blogs that may talk about the same thing, it would be hard for you to stand out from the rest of the pack. I'm sure that you've seen a lot of websites and blogs on the Internet that are having a specific topic, such as making money online ( like this blog of mine ). But because everyone is using Blogger.com as a free blogging platform and they talk about the same things, this doesn't makes them unique. They're just like the rest of other bloggers, who have the same ideas, use the same templates and not offering anything else that can be considered as unique. That's why if you have a great idea to start a blog with, is simply not enough this days. You do have to be unique. Your blog must look, feel and have quality template, graphics and content. You may write your po ...

Are you already blogging?
2007-09-27 16:09:55
If so, money may just be a click away from you. If you already spend some time blogging, then you can say that money will come to you almost immediately and if you ask for it. And I'm not talking about getting rich overnight or anything like that..I'm strictly talking about blogs that are already running for a fair period of time and which have a steady base of readers ( or readership ). Once you have this steady readership base, then you can profit from advertisers who'd like to place their banners and links on your blog, to reach the audience of it. Although you started blogging as a hobby and not necessarily to get rich, making some profit with your blog it's not that difficult as you think. Even for people who are blogging for months or years, the revenue from advertising may not add up to a too big amount of cash that they earn from their blogs, but still, this a way to make some extra dollars blogging ( beside affiliate programs and other money making programs ). The amount of mo ...

Free domain names for blogs..and not only
2007-09-26 16:53:45
Free domains...everyone wants a free domain for their websites or blogs, but most know that you can't get a free TLD from nowhere ( TLD - Top Level Domain ). So, if you can't get a free TLD, the chance is that you'll look for a free, simple domain ( which is not a TLD ), to hide your long and even ugly URL ( such as http://www.whateverfreesite.com/user/johndoe/index.html ). The problem is that some free domain names are supported by ads and this may make you're site or blog look even more unprofessional than it already is considered. Now, let's clear some things up: when I visit an website, I really don't care if it is hosted free and has a free domain name, or it is a professionally built one, with a TLD. Why? Because even a free hosted site can offer you very interesting information and can have a nice design, too. So, I make no discrimination about this kind of sites. As I said, if it has good, quality content and a nice design, then it worth paying a visit. On the other hand, ad-su ...

It's always nice to see that there are bloggers who are willing to offer free reviews...of course, you must ask them nicely before reviewing your blog and you shouldn't forget to thank them after they've wrote the review.A couple of days ago, it happened to stumble upon a fellow blogger who was offering free reviews to anyone who wanted one. I thought that it would be nice to ask a review from that fellow blogger from ProBlog Reviews. So, I've requested my review and waited for an answer. The answer came a bit late, after few days, but not because the owner of ProBlog Reviews didn't wanted to answer my request. I found out that Google has found the above mentioned blog as being a spam blog, which of course, wasn't true. The guys from Google realized that they were making a mistake in rating the ProBlog Reviews blog as a spam blog. After this short, but unpleasant incident, the blogger of ProBlog started to offer once again free, quality reviews. Basic Information about Niche Marketing
2007-09-25 18:17:05
Sometime ago, I couldn't tell what is niche marketing..or what is a niche in the online world. Now I'm not gonna say that I've turned myself in to an expert in niche marketing overnight, but at least now I know a thing or two about niches and niche marketing. May not be too much, but for now it's enough for me. But do you know what's a niche? Or what's niche marketing? If you don't, then it's time to find out some basic information about this subject. You just have to read this post and I'm sure you'll know a little more about niche marketing than you knew before visiting my blog. So, let's start.. In the real life and especially in ecology, a niche represents the place occupied by an organism or a population within an ecological community also known as ecosystem. In marketing ( online marketing ), a niche represents a product or service that occupies a certain segment in a certain area of demand. Niches are all involved in niche marketing, a process that involves finding market segmen ...

Name a domain..and make money
2007-09-24 15:50:47
Yes, this is true. You can make money on the Internet by simply helping people to get a domain name for their site. And you don't have to pay anything or setup a hosting company for that. All you have to do is to visit Picky Domains, a service used by people who want to find a domain name for their site and want to get some help with finding the right one. Maybe not all people either have time or enough inspiration to pick the right domain name for their sites. I don't say that they are stupid or idiots..that's not what I mean. What I mean to say is that they would rather prefer to seek some help in picking the right domain name for the site they've built, rather than banging their heads against the walls and not finding a good name. So, here's the opportunity for you: just go to Picky Domains, sign up as a contributor and search for open projects. An open project is actually a request made by a webmaster who needs a good domain name for his site. Browse to those requests and pick one ...

How to apply for Google Adsense?

So, you've built your website or blog and would like to make some money with it. And you've heard that Google Adsense is one of the recommended ways to monetize your website. Other types of scams
2007-09-22 17:12:05
Yesterday I was talking about e-mail scams and how to recognize such an e-mail as being a scam. Today, I'll tell you about another type of scam: the work at home scam sites. I know that maybe some of you will think that this is an off topic post, but I assure it is not. I would like you to be informed of such things, rather than waste your time or money with it. There are a lot of work at home opportunities on the Internet this days and some people will go and try those that sound too good to be true. If such an opportunity sounds like that, then the possibility to be a scam or not to worth your attention is high. I'm looking for an work at home opportunity too. But rather than simply throwing away my money on some worthless, scam e-book or work at home package, I prefer to do some searches before. Some of the most known work at home scams are the data entry opportunities. There are a lot of websites promising you that you'll earn thousands of dollars per month just by typing in some d ...

I'm a millionaire
2007-09-21 17:55:52
You're curious to know how I got to be a millionaire? Well, while I was reading my e-mails today and a couple of days ago, I saw a bunch of e-mails stating that I won a lot of cash at lotteries ( about 2 to 3 million dollars ). Some other e-mails were stating that I've received a large donation, that has to be deposited into my bank account, while others declared me as the only "legal" owner of a large amount of cash that belonged to a rich guy from Nigeria, Germany or some other countries in the world, who unfortunately died in a car crash, plane crash, or was declared missing in a foreign country, and who has no other relatives to whom he could give the money to. Now, really, let's be serious. Who would be so damn idiot to believe this scam e-mails?? And since when does BMW for example organizes lotteries or gives away cars to a "lucky winner"? And since when I've signed up to participate at the Swiss Lottery?! I feel sorry for all this scammers out there who think that I'm so stupid ...
Basic Information about RSS and RSS feeds
2007-09-20 13:51:09
What's RSS? Well, for those who don't know for what RSS stands for, I'll tell you: RSS stands for Real Simple Syndicate or Rich Site Summary. To syndicate means to republish an article, post or information that comes from a source such as a website or blog. What is it used for? RSS is used to publicize the latest news from a certain website. So, every time when a webmaster posts something new to his website or blog, the news will be available on the RSS feed and can be read with various feed readers by those who either are subscribed to the site or blog that published the news, or are simply visitors of that certain site. An RSS includes the title and a summary of the posts and information from a site and even photos ( if there are any within the posts ).Why should I use RSS ( advantages )? 1. It gives you the latest updates from the site you like. So, no matter that it is a weather update, a new song or movie release, or a new software upgrade, you are informed immediately about this, ...

Learn how to make money blogging
2007-09-19 16:01:12
There are a lot of ways to make money with your blog, such as affiliate programs, Google Adsense ads, or any other program that will help you earn money from your blog. For some full time bloggers or for companies that use blogs to make money or to increase the traffic to their websites, there are two main models of making money blogging: selling advertising space to a number of other companies or brands that want to advertise on the respective blog, or selling advertising space just to one single company or brand that wants to reach that blog's audience. Of course, even you can do the same thing: either promote a couple of money making programs on your blog, or use the blog to promote just one that you like the most and which you think it's useful to you and others and will help you generate some revenue from it. You don't have to own a company or to be a guru in the blogging field to see that the things above, about selling advertising, can be applied to a personal blog too. If your ...

Are you a blogging addict?
2007-09-18 21:32:20
Have you ever wondered of you're a blogging addict? Some bloggers simply can't do it if they do not blog for a day or two. Some others, balance the time spent on the internet with the time spent with family, friends or various other activities, that do not involve surfing the Web or spending time at their computers. How can you tell if you're starting to become an addict? Well, this should be easy. First of all, in my opinion, you'll start to check, double-check or even triple-check the stats, earnings and the performances of your blog, every hour. It's not a bad thing at all to check stats, but what's the reason of checking it or re-checking it every hour or every 10 minutes? There won't be anything special to see and no wonders will happen, if you do this. Next, you'll probably start to forget that you have a real life too. You see, having a blog it is considered a responsibility too, because you have to maintain it, promote it and take care of it every day ( just like you'll do with ...

What's a Search Engine, anyway?
2007-09-17 16:31:17
The main purpose of a search engine is to index the millions and millions of web pages that exist today ( and that will appear in the future, too ). When you look for a certain keyword or key phrase, the search engine scans its database, where it has all the information and pages containing that specific keyword, and then displays a list with the most relevant results for that keyword or key phrase. The first search engine-like tool appeared somewhere in the 90's, when Alan Emtage, a student from McGill University in Montreal, created a search engine that was able to search and locate information available on the FTP servers. The files from those servers where available to anyone that needed it, but someone who didn't knew the exact location of the server or of a certain file on the server, couldn't access it without the help of Archie ( the search engine-like tool ). Archie was scanning its database looking for the information related to what the user needed and gather it in a list an ...
