Remove Uninstalled programs from Add/Remove Program list..
Sometimes when you have uninstalled a software, it still remains in Add/Remove Programs. This becomes quite frustrating, as when you click uninstall button the Program is not removed. I experienced this condition with my Adobe Photoshop CS3.......

How to remove Uninstalled programs from Add/Remove Program list..

OS: Windows XPSometimes when you have uninstalled a software, it still remains in Add/Remove Programs. This becomes quite frustrating, as when you click uninstall button the Program is not removed. I experienced this condition with my Adobe Photoshop CS3.To remove these uninstalled programs follow these steps:-Open Registry Editor(regedit.exe) in Run Under start menu.Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UninstallThen just delete the entries related to the uninstalled software .Now reopen Add/Remove Programs, the program will not be in the list.Hence you will not see the damn program in that List.....Bob Matharoo ...

So if you want to check the status of this DMA follow these steps :-Go to Start & then Control Panel.Now click on System icon then System Properties will be opened.Now click on Hardware & then on Device Manager..Go to IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers & then Go to Primary IDE Channel..Under the tab Advanced Settings, check Transfer ModeThe transfer mode should be on 'DMA if Available'If it's on 'PIO only' then change it to 'DMA if Available'Also do the same check for Secondary IDE Channel..And then you will be able to take advantage of this feature of your device..Bob Matharoo ...

OS: Windows XPIf your computer has not enough RAM to withstand loads then there's something which you can do to get better performance & you will not even need to upgrade any hardware. I have found a new Registry Tweak by which you can minimise the windows animation & thus can get best out of your low RAM.As windows animation shares a high percentage of your RAM & you can disable it by using the tweak mentioned below & improve system performance ,if looks of your OS don't matter for you.....Open Registry Editor(regedit.exe) in Run under Start Menu.Navigate to :-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetricsNow change the Value of MinAnimate from 1 to 0Exit the editor & reboot..Note: Create a System Restore Point or have Backup before applying this Tweak..This will bring some changes in windows animation & you would get increased performance of your PC..Bob Matharoo ...
