  • New Blog Entry From mewithoutYou's Aaron
peace, my precious brothers and sisters! here a few things:first, thank you to everyone who responded to our last message. we got hundreds of invitations the first day alone (and from all over the world), so we're a bit overwhelmed. please keep this in mind and forgive us if we don't respond to you - such correspondence would be a full time job in front of a computer screen, a far cry from the face to face human connections we're hoping for with all this! (what's nice is, now that we have a sense of who's up for what, we can get ahold of you when the time is right)anyhow I got this idea: even tho accepting every offer would be sorta impossible at this point, for all the folks in towns we can't come visit who want to have a get together with us and sing songs to G-d or cook food together or share your sorrows and struggles and joys with us or pray together or question together and listen for the Good Spirit, well even if we can't join you, how about go on ahead and do it anyway?

  • CD Review: Aaron Acosta - Wave
CD Review:   Artist: Aaron AcostaAlbum: WaveWebsite: http://www.aaronacosta.com Style: Electronica/Ambient/SoundscapesRating: 6 out of 10Band Members: Aaron Acosta (production, sound design)By Staff Writer Michael Grillo   As a student of sound design, Aaron Acosta is an artist that has his hands in many pots that include film, theatre, and music.  On his recent release Wave, Acosta presents an eclectic collection of electronic works that include ambient soundscapes and soft techno pieces.  As a unified whole, Wave is a cross between the work of Brian Eno and Jon Hassell, who have also collaborated on albums together.  However, the album does not sound like the collaborations that Eno and Hassell have done, but rather has a series of tracks reminiscent of each artist's solo work. Obviously, the Eno-sounding songs constitute the album's ambient pieces such as "Carlsbad" and "Wave." While these tracks are decent, they are nothing spectacular,
