For many people the thought of working out each day is a miserable thought...for me it is just part of my everyday routine. I have always been interested in feeling healthy and looking fit and taking action to make it happen for myself. I grew up in a family that was very aware of the foods that were brought into our home. My mom was eating Tofu in the 70's before anyone knew what it was! Also, our family was very active. My parents both had their weekly workout regimens, whether it was walking, Jane Fonda workouts (did that just date me), tennis, skiing or heading to the gym. Growing up in that type of environment is all I knew. It was our way of life.When I got pregnant with each of my three kids my body seemed to want to grasp on to every calorie I put into my mouth. With my first pregnancy I gained about 72lbs., with my second it was over 60lbs, and with my third It was in the ballpark of the high 50's. I was a site to see! Almost two years after the the show being cancelled off the air in early 2000 I am still reeling from the loss of this fantastic cartoon show. Why they decided to remove this show from their schedules still baffles me to this day. WOEICS is a great show for both kids and adults to enjoy. It's my all time favorite cartoon. It's very well written with great charachters, great plots(although a couple of episodes are weak) and great things for kids to learn about history. It's great that they are finally responding to the viewers who sat in limbo in uncertainty about the fate of this show by releasing some episodes on video. 'Hot Coffee' Class Action Settled, $35 Rewarded For Outrage The class action suit against Rockstar Games for the part they played in the infamous "Hot Coffee" scandal has finally been resolved, granting all US citizens who were offended by the event up to $35. In case you forgot, the entire "Hot Coffee" scandal was the result of some code left in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that allowed players (through the use of a simple, widely available hack) to "have sex" with other characters in the game (see right). Rockstar denied culpability, but were still taken to court over the issue. To be eligible for monetary compensation for any outrage they may have felt over the incident, claimants must be able to verify their purchase of the game and submit their notice by May 16. Not long after a lawsuit arose regarding the cover version of a song by The Romantics, has been filed against them. The issue is the fact that despite advertising stereo sound and Dolby Pro Logic II surround-sound on both the box and the manual, the Wii version of Guitar Hero III only outputs mono sound. The company had already made plans to deal with this problem by remastering and reissuing the game to purchasers free of cost. It seems they didn’t act quickly enough or decisively enough however, as the complaints addressed in the filing include the fact that the game has still been on the shelves since the issue was noticed and that no action had been taken to warn consumers of the disparity between the advertising and the actual features of the game.
