There’s always fodder for gossip coming out from the Spears’ family stables. The troubled singer seems to have bagged a permanent space in all the gossip rags ever she stepped into the limelight as a young performer. The latest story doing the rounds is her alleged breast surgery when she was a mere teenager. Apparently her mother Lynne Spears was in on this shenanigan. The controversy took off with her posing for an explicit 1999 Rolling Stones cover. The same magazine claimed that she had her breast surgery reversed when her natural breast tissue started filling out. Stories like Spears are not uncommon however. There are quite a number of young girls and boys who get their parents take them to a plastic surgeon just to be part of the ‘in’ crowd. It is not advisable to have a plastic surgery performed for cosmetic reasons on a yet growing body. Surgeries like breast augmentations, rhinoplasty, cheek implants, Botox®, etc. are best done after the body has got past
Last month I went to settlement on my first home. It was not a brand new house of my dreams, but rather an older home with tons of potential. Now it is up to me to take it from home with potential to home of my dreams. Perhaps I am being overly optimistic, but I think I can do it. However, every time I look at my little castle, all I can see is a list of things to be done. This is the tale of the first item on the list?dealing with the old paneling that is EVERYWHERE in my house. I understand that there was a time period when wood paneling was all the rage, but it is even on the ceiling in my dining room. How could anyone have ever thought that wood paneling on a ceiling was a good idea???This weekend, hammer and pry bar in hand, I started the task of pulling down the heinous GREEN paneling that was on one wall of my office. Two boo-boos, lots of cursing, and 4 hours later my room was liberated of the nasty green paneling. The job itself was not bad. However, looking at the w
I'm sure you have seen that I build an Origami Dinghy using plans from WoodenWidget - Robin Benjamin, aka Benjy. I have enjoyed correspondence with him several times and he's a nice guy and the dinghy is a slick design that I enjoyed building. What I didn't know is that he lives on a boat, and has for 20 something years... neat!
Duckworks Magazine has this nice writeup on some of Benjy's cruising adventures, with lots of pics... check it out!

“Chibi” is a Japanese word meaning “short person” or “small child.” The word has gained currency amongst fans of manga and anime. In terms of drawings, these are the “super deformed”, much the style or art in Ragnarok is.

My kids love watching PBS Kids and of course one of their favorite shows is Clifford the Big Red Dog. If your kids are Clifford fans also, then you have to pay a visit to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana for their newest exhibit - Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog.The exhibit is specifically targeted to young children ages 2-5. The exhibit transports children to Clifford’s world and creates unique opportunities to engage children in rich educational content that reinforces “Clifford’s Big Ideas”—ten simple, tangible life lessons designed to help young children navigate their world, such as Share, Play Fair and Be Truthful. Some of the highlights of the exhibit are: Riding the ferry to Clifford’s home of Birdwell Island where your children can: Slide down the tail of a colossal nine-foot high Clifford Fill Clifford's big dog bowl with bones using a conveyor belt Find “bone”-ifide treasures at T-Bone’s Beach Visit the Post Office to sort and deliver l

There’s something about high-fantasy settings that just seems to work well for massively multiplayer games. We’re not sure if it’s the pointy ears on the elves, but for some reason, the addictive gameplay of online role-playing games–the fighting, the questing, the looting, and the adventuring with other like-minded players–seems to go hand in hand with [...]

Getting online with the view to making money is a huge learning curve for anyone! One of the problems I've been struggling with is information overload - just so much to know and so little time. This article is an absolute gem describing how many new to online businesses aren't focussed enough and perhaps spend money unwisely too early on.5 Zoom(s)

"After shaking the prog rock world with his Prime Opera "The Flower King", Roine STOLT remarked a point of departure on the musical scene by putting together a band named after his first solo recording and pulling off the incredible release of "Back in the World of Adventures".In the purest symphonic tradition, the sound of THE FLOWER KINGS has evidentially the YES,

The above letter details how the obviously, not-so-popular-as-it-seems, Disney Adventures magazine, is ceasing publication with its November 2007 issue. This will be sad news for some, but probably won't affect the majority of us.Thanks to Carrie/PixarVixen for the letter.

Sounds just about impossible to me, but I hope he succeeds :-)Anyway, this is his blog site and covers his boat building in more detail and other human powered endeavors.

Well something, weird has happened well my mom has been divorced for about a year now so now she is dating again. It is somewhat hard to get used to that with us both being single and going out on weekends together. Well we go out together she gets mad at me because I get hit on all the time well sometimes I don’t want to get hit on but I do. Now the thing is she likes this guy but he has been hitting on me a lot but she is mad at me because he pays attention to me and not her it is so weird. However, the thing about this all I really do like this guy he has sparked my interest and my heart. Now it is like I finally meet this great guy but look what happens is that my mom likes him too so now I have to forget about him. In all my years of living I never thought this would happen. I guess I am so used to her being married so I never was in this situation before where we are both dating. So now, I don’t know what to do let this great guy go because of my mom or keep interested in him.

At the ripe age of 25, I was anti-date. Unlike many of my friends, being single was status I relished. The freedom to do anything you wanted, when you wanted to do it. No compromising, no fighting over the remote, and I didn’t have to shave my legs unless I felt [...]
I Left Great Malvern on Sunday 22nd of July and wasn't sure if it was possible to leave the area due to the floods all around us. My thanks to Apollo Taxes for being the only local company to say yes to trying to find a way out of Worcestershire to get Myself and Daughter on our Explore Family Educational trip to Iceland and down to London Heathrow for our early afternoon departure..
Our Journey from Great Malvern was very enlightening. As we travelled,we saw many abandoned Cars, and some of these were left in quite a precarious way, as though people had suddenly realised the dangers of the flooding and didn't have time to park on a verge or against a kerb.On Saturday night, our Driver Steve had been able to come via Tewkesbury, but on the Sunday Morning it soon became evident, that Tewkesbury had now been cut off and we had to turn around and find an alternative route.. The M50 Motorway had been re-opened and we made about a 45 minute detour and again were surprised at the amount of a
he local area where I receive my flight training boasts little more than movie theaters and restaurants. So where do you think everyone is going on Friday night? I don't feel like traveling an hour to the nearest metro area this weekend, so I am willing to deal with the crowds at the movie theater. I am not, however, doing the 90 minute wait at a restaurant...so I am putting something together for friends before we go...Thai Cucumber Saladingredients1/4 cup fresh lime juice1 1/2 tablespoons fish sauce (nam pla)*1 1/2 tablespoons sugar1 1/2 tablespoons minced seeded jalapeño chili (about 1 large)2 garlic cloves, minced1 1/2 English hothouse cucumbers, halved, seeded, thinly sliced3/4 cup sliced red onion3 tablespoons chopped fresh mint3 tablespoons coarsely chopped lightly salted roasted peanutspreparationWhisk first 5 ingredients in medium bowl. Please keep this in mind: Always protect yourself! This news was a forward from a MySpace friend - please pass it on!A woman at the nightclub, 'Crow Bar'- on Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her.Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed therepeat rapes along with traces of Rohypnol in her blood, with Progesterex, which is essentially a small sterilization pill. The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape and sterilize their victims. Progesterex is available to vets to sterilize large animals.Rumor has it that Progesterex is being used together with Rohypnol, the date rape drug. As with Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into the girls drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before.Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't conceive from the rape and the rapist need
fter the Adventure in Coach, Sky Sister defintely did a 180 and stayed in the Marriott brand Residence Inn outside of New York...I will keep this short and sweet, since the pics are telling you most of what you need to know! The staff was friendly and helpful, staying on the phone while I looked for Route 3 (haha), the suite is a 2 bedroom and feels like an upscale apartment (nowhere near the "hotel room" vibe)...very modern furniture and tastefully decorated, especially for the size of the space. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay (around $200 a night, depending on the season)...a fab deal considering what a hole in the wall you can end up with in Midtown (NYC) for the same price!I absolutely fell in love with the setup of the suite...thinking about styling my own bedroom after the floor to ceiling headboard! This is very likely to happen so stay tuned for that post down the line...As I sat in the dining area for breakfast I was relieved that I was wearing a sweater, and
t all ends with her connecting flight to New York sitting on the runway in Atlanta for 2 hours...the Northeast has some of the worst traffic! But the original flight was another matter...I always say that I will never fly Delta again! The flight attendants are nice, and the pilots get us where we need to go, but the antiquated seats are incredibly uncomfortable, the airline has lost my luggage numerous times (I only brought a carry on this time!), and when it's time for them to re-book your flight (because of their error) they will try to send you anywhere at any time without regard to your schedule or actual destination (they once offered to send me to an airport 60 miles from my home AND no guarantee of ground transportation...I offered that I would take the available first class seat or continue to politely annoy them...see the article on airline passenger rights)! After all that talk, what was I doing on a Delta flight? The thing is, they sucker you in with their sky miles and B

Internet dating can be tricky, you never know if the person is telling the whole truth. Often people fudge on minor details. For example, I tell people I am 30 when I am really 33. Maybe today I’m 130 pounds, but yesterday I was 145 pounds. Little white lies can be [...]
This week I'll be reporting from the International Christian Retail Show, otherwise known as ICRS, otherwise known as CBA (Christian Booksellers Association). My author friend, Jenn Doucette, and I flew from Seattle to Atlanta yesterday (Friday), where we joined our roommates, Cyndy Salzmann and Dena Dyer, in a tiny room at the Westin Peachtree Hotel.
Today Jenn and I played tourist; we took a tour of CNN headquarters, browsed around the gigantic convention center to get the lay of the land, and then toured the Coke museum. For dinner, we crammed 13 authors into two taxis and dined at Mary Mac's Tearoom, a locally famous Southern home cookin' restaurant. Delicious!
Tomorrow the work begins -- I'll be interviewing three authors for one of my clients and then attending an author dinner with my publishing house.
