Mothering Sunday, which is often called ‘Mothers Day’ in the United Kingdom and Ireland, falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, which is exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday.
Mothering Sunday is celebrated on various days of the year in different countries around the world. The day that celebrates mothers around the world has a number [...]
You’ve probably noticed the abundance of foodbuzz banners that are dotted in prominent places around this blog. Food buzz is a pretty cool digg-type resource for food lovers that offers restaurant reviews, recipes, food related videos and other really cool food-type stuff gathered by other foodies from all over the globe. I have to say that the movie "300" is a very cool movie!! "This is sparta!!" Maybe Bungie also liked that movie, and decided to put this sentence in the game. Or maybe this video is staged.. I'm not sure, you have to make up your own opinion about this.
This is how Dem Rep. Pete Stark of California earned the wrath of Nancy The Nag and Sellout Steny a day or so ago.I knew impeachment was off the table, but I didn't know righteous anger and showing a spine while standing up to Repug intimidation was also.I guess Steny and Nancy had no trouble giving up their lunch money to the school bullies when they were little kids many years ago.
Perfect afternoon for a nap. Chilly outside, warm inside. Dominyk decided to lie down, as did Salinda and her guest. Jimmy was at the Y, Tony gone to camp, Rand busy filling out applications for jobs (because I'm forcing him to), Ricardo parked in front of a new playstation game he bought, Sadie busy learning to crochet as Dominyk has picked up the hobbie....And I couldn't sleep. First the dog was restless, then I couldn't get comfortable -- but I think it is the non-drowsy cold medicine I took. I didn't know that PREVENTED sleep....
The Open University tutorials are always on Saturdays so you sort-of get into the way of assuming that all their activities are on Saturdays. Well, they usually are but the exams aren’t and it certainly throws me for one.
This year was particularly confusing in that the exam was in Dublin for the first time rather [...]
Not that kind of cheater.
I recently signed up for a fitness boot camp and because I enjoyed it so much (I lost something like 4 inches), I dragged my boyfriend into joining a second, five week session with me. Turns out he doesn’t love all the running, push ups, lunges, and puking sensations that go [...]

Wow, this is ONE clever parrot. But then again I have no idea how difficult it is to train
a parrot to say these things, maybe its easy? I think I could do it..hehe

The main purpose of a search engine is to index the millions and millions of web pages that exist today ( and that will appear in the future, too ). When you look for a certain keyword or key phrase, the search engine scans its database, where it has all the information and pages containing that specific keyword, and then displays a list with the most relevant results for that keyword or key phrase. The first search engine-like tool appeared somewhere in the 90's, when Alan Emtage, a student from McGill University in Montreal, created a search engine that was able to search and locate information available on the FTP servers. The files from those servers where available to anyone that needed it, but someone who didn't knew the exact location of the server or of a certain file on the server, couldn't access it without the help of Archie ( the search engine-like tool ). Archie was scanning its database looking for the information related to what the user needed and gather it in a list an
The Cure was amazing and yet absolutely horrible. Elissa and I did not converse to any great degree, merely civilities, a bit of a spat and silence. The band are fanamatastic, though. If only their songs didn't all make me think of Elissa - I ended up crying throughout the first hour or two of the concert. Horrendous. I can't forgive Elissa now, not after that. It should have been the absolute night of my life.Until yesterday, that all bothered me. People asked me why I'm not friends with her any more - I could barely stammer "She told me... she doesn't care about me... at all..." without looking like I was about to break down. Today, I felt... calm. She told me to get over it. I think I'm well on my way. I hadn't realised, but I've actually been feeling quite miserable inside for some time, despite brief lapses when I'm surrounded by my other (far lovelier) friends, when I'm laughing loudly and smiling. Nothing was really exciting me, nothing was making me feel really good about mysel
One of the best things about the paid posts is that there are a fair number of them that I’d be writing anyway in due course. ‘Tis easy enough to pick these ones out as they’re a lot longer, more complete and get a photo or two.
I’ve even had someone offer to pay for one [...]
As you all know, TWFE HQ is moving. Again... For good reason, to a totally remodeled place, but still, moving is a pain in the ass, back, neck, and most every other body part.As it turns out, I'll have the help to move the big things today, starting around 1pm. Which means I need to get my ass in gear. Now!The cable guy is supposed to be by tomorrow. So hopefully, if all goes well, I'll be back, up and running somewhat smoothly, by Friday afternoon. Give or take...Wish me luck, and that I finish in one healthy piece...Now that personal news is out of the way, on to the Tigers. Quickly.I thought the Tigers would beat the White sox last night. I just didn't think that it would involve the Gambler folding, the pen, for the most part (GRILLI! ARRGH!), actually picking up the slack, and take Ryan Raburn channeling his inner Hank Greenberg to do so.It was a good win. More importantly, a needed win for the on edge fanbase, who were going slightly goofy after the doubleheader that we shall
Good news regarding your chances to conceive a baby boy: roughly 51% of all births are boys! Around the world, at any given time, there's a universal and constant pattern with 51 to 54 boys born for each 50 girls born. The ratio of 51% boys to 49% girls is also representative of overall US birth rates. There are many theories about why there are slightly more boys born each year than girls. Supposedly, this is nature's way of maintaining equilibrium, since more boys than girls die in infancy and a man's expected lifespan is less than a woman's. Or, maybe that's simply because male-producing sperm is faster swimming than the female-producing sperm, more often winning the race to fertilize the egg and resulting in more male conceptions. The later fact can be used in your favor to conceive a baby boy. This method is called The Shettles method.
