The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 69.27 points, or 3 percent, at 2,223.00. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 149.49 points, or 1.25 percent, at 11,821.70. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 21.57 points, or 1.65 percent, at 1,288.93.

Yet the new MacBook Air didn't fail to amaze when Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced it during his Macworld keynote in San Francisco this morning. The MacBook Air was undoubtedly the highlight of Apple's Macworld conference this morning, but it wasn't the only item on the menu. Indeed, Apple had several other major announcements: a new wireless backup device called Time Capsule, a revamped Apple TV, the addition of movie rentals to the iTunes Store, and updates for both the iPhone and iPod touch.Let's start with Time Capsule.
