  • You can bet that Wits and Wagers is XBLA bound - SendMeRSS
You can bet that Wits and Wagers is XBLA boundFiled under: News, Xbox Live Arcade, Game announcementsAgain, our trusty friend the ESRB has come to the rescue in fulling our insatiable appetite for upcoming (and totally unannounced) XBLA games with their latest listing for Wits and Wagers.Wits and Wagers will be a title developed by the crew over at Hidden Path Entertainment and solely for the Xbox 360. In general, Wits and Wagers is a board game where players answer trivia and place bets on which guess is closest to the actual answer. Simple enough. Though, we're curious to see how well Hidden Path can pull off a game like Wits and Wagers seeing that their only experience on the 360 is an XNA demo and creating a trivia game isn't the easiest genre to make entertaining. It doesn't really matter though. We're just proud that we discovered another upcoming XBLA game long before its announcement. We so cool! Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments Link - Comments - Dustin B

The Kyrgyz National Security Service continues to decline comment on taking possession of a small load of a radioactive substance discovered aboard a train bound for Iran, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service notes that it took the security services nine days to announce the discovery of the material, which was found already on December 31 when radiation detectors alerted Uzbek border guards who reportedly promptly sent the train back to Kyrgyzstan.Kubanych Noruzbaev, an official from the Kyrgyz Ecology and Environmental Protection Ministry, said the material was cesium-137, a product of nuclear reactors and weapons testing that could also be used in a crude radioactive explosive device or a "dirty bomb", radio marks. Kubat Osmonbetov, a geologist, told RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service that there was a uranium-processing plant in northern Tajikistan, raising the possibility that the Tajik train in question might have been used in the past to transport radioactive mate

  • Social networkers are bound to be hypocrites
Your friends on social networks are hypocrites. Bit of a shock that isn't it? After all they are your friends and you trust them. However, new research on "moral hypocrisy" suggests they might not be exactly as they seem. The study used a traditional technique of allowing a individuals to distribute something to a group of people, including themselves in the group. The participants were asked to either be fair or unfair in the way they distributed things. Then, a confederate did the same task and the participants were asked to observe. What happened was that if the confederate was acting unfairly, the participants actually said the distribution was fair. However, those in the group said it was unfair. In other words, the participants defended the actions of their "friends" - even though they accepted what happened was unfair. This is just more confirmation of the "in group" - "out group" effect. If your are within a group, say on Facebook, you are more likely to defend any negative happen

From the 27th of June to the 1st of July, I'll be in Barcelona on business. I love saying that: "on business." It sounds so grown-up. Anyway, I should have at least two free nights and it'll be my first time over there. Ethan has recommended the Jamboree jazz club and I'll definitely be visiting some Gaudi. Does anyone have any other recommendations?+I got a promo email containing an unexpected opening line: New York, NY – May 30, 2007 – MTV Networks’ URGE will present the June 19th opening night performances of the Vision Festival XII as part of its URGE Nights seriesVision Fest goes MTV? • Turkey seizes Iranian arms in Syria-bound train
Turkish authorities seized weapons hidden among construction materials on a Syria-bound train from Iran after Kurdish guerrillas bombed and derailed the train. The cargo was discovered when authorities checked containers on the train, which was attacked by separatist Kurdish guerrillas on May 25 near the town of Genc in southeastern Bingol province, Prosecutor Ismail Sari told reporters Wednesday. The bomb attack derailed seven of the train's cars, Sari said. Authorities were investigating the incident, and would also check cargo on the rest of the train, he said. The Iranian Embassy issued a statement Wednesday denying that the weapons belonged to Iran, and said the allegations were being made "by circles" aiming to disrupt Turkey's close relations with Iran.
  • New Rules bound to confuse everyone
Playing pool in a bar in South Africa is seldom straight forward. You walk up to the table, put your money in the slot, rack the balls and shake hands with your soon-to-be opponent. They’ll then say something like “new rules, old rules, or new-old rules”?
