  • Comments And Emails
As being new to the world of blogging I probably spend too much time staring at the number of people who pass through this site when the real focus should be on the comments and emails I have received in the last few weeks or so.A number of different people have added me to their list of sites they visit which is a rather neat thing to see and hopefully it will help against my personal crusade against the stigma that surrounds mental disorders plus offer a real account on what it is like to be struck down by various mental disorders.Yesterday I received a very nice email from a lady who helps run The Florida Borderline Personality Disorder Association and I went to see the site which is full of a lot of helpful information especially when it comes to treatment. The site also finds negative stigma on the net and attacks it full force which I appreciate. There are a number of personal sites that have also stopped by to say hi and leave supportive comment: BPD in OKC, I'm not crazy .. I

  • No way Harbhajan can make racist comments: Pawar
BCCI president Sharad Pawar has categorically said that there was no way Harbhajan Singh could have made racist remarks against the Australian player, and added that the board will extend its full support to the off spinner.   He said India had a history of fighting racism and it was unbelievable that any Indian player representing the country in any sport in any part of the globe would make racist comments.   Pawar said the BCCI would put up the best legal team, helped by Arun Jaitely, Sashank Manohar and Srinivasan to represent Harbhajan during his appeal against the ban before the ICC.   He said he was happy that ICC conducted a review of the umpiring performance in the ongoing series in Australia and decided to replace one of the umpires.   Pawar said no Board was entitled to demand a change in the umpires, but the BCCI had expressed dissatisfaction with the umpiring in the ongoing India-Australia series and asked for a review.   Pawar said it was necess
  • Negative comments
Occasionally, but happily not frequently.. a negative or rude comment is left on a blog - I was prompted to think about this when I saw some stupid comments on a very eminent blog just yesterday. I have one or two and at the time was disturbed by this approach in what is generally a very positive environment. I find the blogosphere to be generally full of enthusiastic and supportive people, often willing to help and give great advice. I guess like any walk of life, you sometimes come across the occasional idiot. One comment I received had criticised my design capabilities which is always going to be a matter of personal subjective opinion. I was prompted to visit the site of the commenter and was greeted by a blog with a sum total of two posts clearly written by someone who was probably not old enough to drive. That's when I became more aware that of course there are some very young bloggers out there and, like the kids that might shout something rude across the street then run away if

  • Get Recent Comments
Get Recent Comments , wordpress plugin. This plugin shows excerpts of the latest comments and/or trackbacks in your sidebar. You have comprehensive control about their appearance. This ranges from the number of comments, the length of the excerpts up to the html layout. You can let the plugin order the comments by the corresponding post, or simply order them by date. The plugin can (optionally) separate the trackbacks/pingbacks from the comments. It can ignore comments to certain categories, and it offers support for gravatars. It only gives extra work to the database, when actually a new comment arrived. You can filter out unwanted pingbacks, which originate from your own blog. And it is a widget.Download Plugin here
  • Add Photobucket pictures in MySpace Comments
MySpace, acquired the most popular photo-sharing website Photobucket back in May 2007, has now made the first integration of photobucket inside MySpace. It now allows users to easily their Photobucket pictures into MySpace comments. All you need to do is to login into your Myspace and comment on another user's profile. When the comment box appears, enter your witty, extremely original comment, then click the "Add image from Photobucket" link. You'll be prompted to login to Photobucket and select a picture to post with the comment. You can also choose a picture from MySpace public gallery by clicking on search public gallery tab. In future we are guessing that MySpace might allow users to link their MySpace accounts with their MySpace accounts to avoid the inline Sign-In process. This is just first of the many other expected integrations of MySpace with Photobucket which will only make MySpace more useful and exciting to use.

That story had everything- nostalgia (at least for me), stormy emotional undercurrents, teen angst, raging hormones... I see it as a John Hughes movie. You're played by Molly Ringwald, by the way.It occurs to me that you may be too young to have seen any John Hughes movies. That's not a recommendation by the way, they're entertaining but rubbish (except Ferris Bueller's Day Off which is amazing). One of my lecturers once tried to tell me that Breakfast Club had "a profound emotional resonance", but that's academics for you, always trying to justify their irrational whimsies with complex arguments... anyway, I digress.Oh, and Trains Planes and Automobiles is a really good John Hughes movie. Actually, there are probably a lot of good ones. Sorry, I'm still digressing.I was going to offer you some sage advice from a seasoned and world weary (ok, I'm only 24) traveller, but actually it feels a bit creepy. You seem like you've got your head screwed on though. You'll be fine. This comment is t

  • Recent Comments hack
I was browsing around the blogosphere today, when I found something that caught my attention, a 'recent comments' hack for Blogger. The in-built Blogger 'recent posts' widget apparently only allows a tiny snippet of the comment, whereas this one is user-definable.I decided that I would like to give it a try so you should be able to see the results in my sidebar. the original instructions include script that cannot be included in a blogger post (at least not by an amateur like me...). So the original post can be found here and admittedly is a year old so maybe blogger have made some changes??The hack is really simple and quick to install, I chose to have 7 comments each one to be 80 characters long. Please leave a comment against the original post comments if you found this hack useful.

  • Some recent comments - epoxy, spiling and other goodies
I wanted to point out some recent comments and the great resources they are (either in themselves or in the sites they point to). A recent poster pointed out the Michael Storer Boat Design site, emphasising the resources that Mr. Storer makes available, including instructions in epoxy use, etc. I especially found the tip on using a ziplock bag for epoxy dispensing to look interesting. I had seen this idea sometime before, but forgot by the time I was actually using epoxy. I'll be giving it a try! Another has given a link to a web page showing the process of motorizing a Wavewalk Kayak... looks like fun. Lastly, I wanted to highlight this description of "spiling"... it looks to be a great technique for finding the size and shape of side panels/planks. I also found this link at Southern Crown Boatworks which has a good section on spiling. That page also has info on sawn frames, steam bending, lamination and lofting if you are wanting to read up on any of those.

  • The Money is NOT in the List, BUT the Comments
You have been hearing “the Money is in the list.” In order to really make money online it is about having a huge list. The 12 Month Internet Millionaire audios state it as well. Well I have found a better logic to it. The money is in the list, but there are so many ways to hassle to get that list. Here is a prime example: you create a squeeze page or have an email form on your main page. For every visitor that looks at that box they just disregard it, users are hesitant to give away their email address. Giving out their email address is a privacy barrier to them, it is as important as giving out their social security number. Why? The talk of spam and viruses may be the cause, but an email address is their identity on the internet. Well I have just created, with the help with one of my partners and finished a revolutionizing WordPress plugin. With list building you have to do a lot of hard work, literally. I have my own list and it is really hard work. You have to: Get the

  • Nick Santora Stands by His Comments
I do take exception with you saying the writers are lazy. That is a statement about my work ethic and the work ethic of my colleagues/friends and I do not appreciate that. The only thing that exceeds your statements ignorance is its inaccuracy. The writer/producers of PB are some of the hardest working, most diligent people in the industry We put in 15+ hour days every day. I’m sorry if you can’t understand the intricacies of having to deal with an actress playing a major character suddenly not being on your show — but to deal with that you need to come up with a story to explain the absence, find a way around barely seeing the actress (we saw her for a matter of seconds in the episode) and still have your characters care for someone that they aren’t even seeing on screen It is very difficult and we did a commendable job. I also take issue with the insinuation that I lied. I stated very clearly that fans would not see another actress running around the jungles of Panama playing

  • Salman khan's dad comments
The whole Khan's family was depressed about Sallu's imprisonment . A strange sens of silence was prevailing there at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra, six hours after his departure for Jodhpur, was somehow far more relaxed than it had been for the past 30 hours.Father Salim Khan and his wife, Helen, had just sat down for a late lunch in the main hall. Brother Arbaaz and his wife, Malaika, shared a conversation with a group of friends on a nearby sofa. A big-screen plasma TV placed directly opposite them was flashing minute-by-minute updates about Salman's imprisonment in Jodhpur. Experts were at hand to handle the legal tangle. But Salim was overpowered by, what he perceived was, the media's "bedevilling" of his son. "All these accusations about Salman playing hide-and-seek with the law, or showing arrogance and attitude, are way off the mark. He was not required to be present on the day of the judgment and so he stayed home. His lawyers believed they could earn him

  • Author John Major Jenkins Comments and Provides Insights on The Mayan Calendar and 2012
I wrote recently about two books I’d read on the subject of 2012 and the Mayan calendar, in a blog titled “The Mayan Calendar and 2012.” The books I discussed were Maya Cosmogenesis 2012: The True Meaning of the Maya Calendar End-Date, by John Major Jenkins (Introduction by Terence McKenna); and How To Practice Mayan Astrology: The Tzolkin Calendar and Your Life Path, by Bruce Scofield and Barry Orr. I mentioned in my blog that the Mayan calendar and the galactic cosmology of the Mayans were new topics to me and I was approaching my discussion of both books with the hope that I would not mis-represent or mis-interpret the authors.John Major Jenkins responded to my blog with some very helpful comments, which are posted with the original blog. However, I would also like to post his comments here. I really valued Mr. Jenkins’ patient explanations and willingness to add clarity to a subject that has caught the attention of many people as we look ahead to 2012. After reading Mr. Jen
