The Blog 365 is 1/12 over. I have managed to blog everyday since January 1st. I cannot believe it. I really cannot believe that blogging everyday for a month has been so easy. If only everything in life was this easy. Today I went to the store with Allie and we bought [...]
  • Rumor: Brawl sells 500k on day one - SendMeRSS
Rumor: Brawl sells 500k on day oneFiled under: Rumors, Sales Just as we suspected, those giant queues spotted in downtown Shinjuku weren't just there for Devil May Cry 4, Disgaea 3, or spare batteries. They were there for Brawl, which, according to Japanese blogger and sales hound Sinobi, sold half a million units on its first day of release. If Sinobi is correct, that's double what Super Mario Galaxy managed in its opening week, and a figure that could yet see Brawl beat the 900,000 sales racked up by New Super Mario Bros. in its first week of sales. On a less exultant note, Sinobi also reports that Namco Bandai's Family Ski could only muster 10,000 sales. For shame, Japan![Via Cubed3]Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments Ads by Google Link - Comments - Chris Greenhough - Fri, 01 Feb 2008 19:15:00 GMT - Feed (10 subs) fighting japan queues smash-bros-brawl ssbb Sent using SendMeRss.com.

  • Blog Action Day: One Little Thing
October 15, 2007 is Blog Action Day. A day when bloggers around the world, whatever their focus, will write about the environment and climate change. So here’s the truth, everybody: climate change freaks me out. Big time. I’ve always been fascinated by natural disasters - earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, the whole lot. [...]

  • Week One, Day One.
What the hell was I/am I thinking?? Week One, Day One of Ct5K is a 5 minute warm up, 20 minutes of intervals (60s run, 90s walk), and a 5 minute cool down. Thanks to the Ullreys podcasts, I don’t have a watch to stare at - just have to keep listening to my iPod. I *am* [...]
  • Day One
Well we are finished with day one. The boys are both upstairs asleep. All of our kids are in bed too. And Billy and I are......relaxing. The first day went well. The older boy, whom I will call D, is five. Considering all he has been through in his short little life he did incredibly well today. He said please and thank you and played very well with everyone else. Unless we weren't looking.
  • Munchen Day One
We arrived in Munich last night (the fourth of July) to discover our hotel dates were not correct.  They had us arriving on the 10th of July and leaving on the 14th of August.  That is 35 days at the Holiday Inn.  They told us that they did not have room for us last night.  I showed them my confirmation number and reservation (fortunately, I had it printed).  They figured out a way to accomodate Eric, Allison, and I, but unfortunately, my parents did not get a room here until noon today. It has been raining in this area (Bavaria) the entire time we have been here.  Since Prague, we have had rain everyday.  It has been wet and cold.  It has not felt much like summertime at all. We have an amazing view out our window.  We have a roof top just below our window and after the baby went to sleep, we opened the window and looked around.  The skyline is beautiful! We went exploring this morning.  It started as a quest to get swim diapers for Allison and it took

  • Father's Day One More Time Around
I sent off four books today, three of them to fathers for Fathers Day, June 17. That's a good feeling, because last year, books found good homes for this special day for dads. From a couple of those father-readers I heard how meaningful, comforting or encouraging they found the book. And of course, that scored points for the book-buying son or daughter! Now's the time. Send your order for Slow Road Home by email, pay by check or paypal. I'll put the book in the mail upon receipt of either. Need more than one copy sent to two or more recipients (your dad and your husband's)? Just let me know by the email address in the sidebar here or on the book website. If you're a Floyd Press reader, you'll have to wait. Here's a link to the shorter version of this Thursday's column: a Father's Day Toast / Roast of this blogger by his son, Nathan. And with his permission, I should add. Click this link to read, and it's okay to go there just to look at the picture (from 25 years ago!)
