Sorry for the delay, the Internet is sometimes elusive when traveling the way we do. So lets begin where we left off.Seattle was nothing short of a love fest!! Old friends were in attendance, old tour mates were on hand for good story telling, and the audience reminded me of why we love playing intimate shows.We met several kids after the show who were willing to wait a while. Among them were a nice couple from Canada who had danced to Stolen at their wedding, an artist who gave me a wonderful pencil drawing of SMG, and couple who remembered my Yankees cap from last time and gave me a Mariners cap to replace it (I'm still thinking it over!)The best part of the show for me was the familiarity that I felt with the crowd. More specifically, a device resembling a pipe-bomb. A SkyWest flight from Eugene, Ore. to Denver International Airport was searched by federal authorities Thursday morning after landing, authorities said. There was a report of a suspicious device being carried by one passenger. The plane landed and was held away from the concourses. Passengers were taken off the plane as it was searched. They were then allowed back on board and the plane was going to taxi to a gate. The FBI was questioning two people on the flight, a spokesperson for DIA said. He added there was no threat to the rest of the airport. There were reports that one passenger on the flight from Oregon had a pipe like device with wires and electronic equipment. There was also a second report of a suspicious device at an airport. At the same time, authorities were searching part of the airport in Eugene and had evacuated part of the terminal. Do you know what I hate? Being booted. In the previous post we talked about parking meter fines and now it's been reported that in Melbourne, Australia drivers that don't pay their fines could find their car wheels clamped. Armed with clamps, teams of Sheriff's officers will prowl the streets and car parks on the lookout for serial fine dodgers. They will check car registration details looking for drivers with unpaid fines for such offences as traffic offences, parking tickets and public transport fare evasion and clamp offender's vehicles, then wait for the drivers to return. They will carry Eftpos machines so defaulters can pay on the spot to have their cars released. Driving licences and car registrations will also be suspended.
