I hate shortcut arrow and and background in my desktop icons. By default desktop icons are transparent, but somehow this icon have a background on it, and i didn't like it. Do you hate it either? Ok, for you who hate this features below are steps for remove it from your desktop icons.
Make it transparent.
Goto desktop and right click on "My Computer" and click Properties. On System Properties

I downloaded this last year and had the happiest time with it! It's Desktop Snow for Windows. It's a "free trial" program (the program costs $10). It has no limitations but it does have a nag screen. It is customizable-- you can have light snow or blizzard snow. You can choose the have the snow build up on the bottom of your desktop, and have the wind blow it away. It really is adorable.I had it on a computer with barely enough memory, and the program ran OK. But when I had several big programs open (like Firefox, OpenOffice.org, and a media player), the snow stuttered a lot. You can shut it off or turn it on at will. Whoever made this program did a really good job. Fun!

1) Aprire dal menu start "Esegui" e digitare regedit per entrare nel registro di configurazione; 2) Selezionare Modifica - Trova, in Cerca selezionare solo Chiavi e digitare lnkfile nella casella Trova; 3) Selezionare isShortcut e fare clik destro per scegliere Rinomina; Rinominare isShortcut in isShortcut_old la stringa; 4) Fare clik con il tasto destro del mouse in un'area vuota sotto isShortcut e scegliere Nuovo e poi valore stringa; 5) Rinominare il nuovo valore in RsShortcut 6) Infine riavviare Windows per rendere effettive le modifiche.
Sul desktop saranno sparite tutte le frecce delle icone di collegamento.
Per ritornare alla situazione precedente eliminare RsShortcut e rinominare isShortcut_old in isShortcutA Presto!
