Archaeologists have excavated the brick structure of a temple more than 1,500 years old and a dilapidated wall from the Gupta dynasty at the Vasu Bihara site of Shibganj upazila in Bogra, Bangladesh. “During the ongoing archaeological excavation, walls, held together with mud, about two metres wide and antiques including part of an ornamental brick have been found,” said Nahid Sultana, custodian of the department of Archaeology, government of Bangladesh. According to a report in The Daily Star, most of the bricks on the walls of the temple are 35cm long, 27cm wide and four centimetres thick. To protect the walls of the main structure of the temple from collapsing, support walls were built with the same kind of bricks. According to Archaeologist Mahabubul Alam, assistant custodian of the department, the brick built temple resembles the temple of Vasu Bihara constructed during the Pala dynasty, suggesting it belonged to the same period. &ld

Resistance 2 trademark discovered (no one is surprised)Filed under: News We all knew it was coming. Resistance 2, sequel to Insomniac's PS3 launch FPS, has been appearing in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Well, it looks like the game is getting closer to being officially announced. A new trademark for Resistance 2 was filed by SCEA, suggesting the game is being prepped for a release later in 2008. We're not surprised, really. We just like to think of this trademark filing as a little pre-Christmas gift that SCEA Claus decided to leave in our stocking.[Thanks, Mork!]Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments Link - Comments - Andrew Yoon - Mon, 24 Dec 2007 15:30:00 GMT - Feed (1 subs) resistance resistance-2 trademark Sent using SendMeRss.com. Violent Saint's Row 2 co-op details discoveredFiled under: NewsCVG wrangled up some new and juicy Saint's Row 2 details from various magazine sources and things are definitely looking good for this sequel. First off, Saint's Row 2 promises a city 45% larger than the original in which you can drive motorcycles, jet-skis, boats and crash buildings with helicopters and planes. You'll also be able to take hostages, dual wield weapons and customize your character like never before. But the most exciting Saints Row 2 feature is co-op. Yup, yup, two-player online campaign co-op is in the works and it'll allow you and a buddy take to the streets for gangster warfare. Things are looking on the up for Saint's Row 2, but can we get some gameplay footage already? It's hard to take our minds off of GTAIV without any gameplay footage.Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments Link - Comments - Dustin Burg - Tue, 18 Dec 2007 03:15:0
As in the previous post talked about what i have just discovered about the cambodia bloggers on the blogger's directory there are more than 2000 bloggers in numbers. Until today, i just found out that not all of them are cambodian bloggers, however, there are many foreigners included in the KH blogger's profile where i happened to discovered some of them. The first time that i happened to discovered the KH blogger's profile, i could not find myself there at all or maybe i didn't add my picture-profile or i might skipped my eyes one it. But good news because today, i found myself on the directory with some other people i know are on the directory too. There are still very few of the khmer blogger there. I hope to check out next time to see many new bloggers' face. Huh! time up.
Early vascular and connective tissue changes probably crate a favorable setting for a growth of organism. This may represent an important co-factor, especially in papulopustular rosacea, in which a delayed hypersensitivity reaction is suspected, but it is not the cause of rosacea. On the other hand, clearing rosacea signs after oral tetracycline or sulfur ointment may not affect the resident Demodex population.TreatmentsThe incidence of Demodex is age-related. About 25 in individuals up to 50 years, 50 or lindane. Massage of lid margins is essential because local treatment is of no effect as long as the mite remains deep in the pilosebaceous complex.According to a recent study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, there is a high frequency of patients with rosacea who have concomitant demodicoses that contribute to their clinical manifestations. In this study, 10 dermatologists observed 3,213 patients who presented at least one to two diagnoses seen by this g
Rarely in the history of man do miracles occur that everyone can see to be true. But here for all to witness is the phenomenon of the Templar Diamond. A beautiful creation of nature, this incredible brilliant diamond is almost 3 carats in weight and a natural greenish color. At the center of this gift of the universe is a spectacular cross. It was a perfect unilateral cross, totally natural and magnificent! The beautiful cross was positioned exactly in the center of the diamond. A cross that is a replica of the symbol of the Templar knights from the first crusades of 1096.The Templar knights were entrusted with the mission of defending the Holy Land and protecting the Holy Grail. The Grail was said to be the cup that contained the blood of Christ. The knights believed that he who drank from it would have eternal life. To be the defenders of the land and keepers of the Grail was an immense responsibility indeed, but one that they gave their lives to fulfill. The Templars were instrumenta
Like an episode out of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics has announced the discovery of a mass of crystallized carbon formerly known as star BPM 37093, now known as the biggest diamond in the galaxy, fifty light years away from Earth in the constellation Centaurus. The star, named "Lucy" after the Beatles song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," is estimated to be 2,500 miles across and weighs approximately 10 billion-trillion-trillion-carats – a one, followed by 34 zeros. Travis Metcalfe, an astronomer from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and leader of the team who discovered the gem, says “You would need a jeweler’s loupe the size of the sun to grade this diamond. Bill Gates and Donald Trump together couldn’t begin to afford it.” The diamond is actually the crystallized interior of a white dwarf – or the hot core of a star that is left over after the star uses up its nuclear fuel and dies. It is made most

Wentworth Miller, the good news is that I’m willing to wait for a man to get out of prison. The bad news is that it may not be you. I just watched the season opener of Prison Break (airing tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox), and there’s a new hottie in incarceration: British import Chris Vance. Chis plays James Whistler, a man sentenced to Sona after an altercation with a relative of the mayor of Panama. He’s also in hiding, since his head is as good as a prison pardon to the other inmates. Chris recently relocated to Dallas for his new role, where he's acclimating to new cuisine, new co-stars and his new TV Fanatic girlfriend! You’re originally from England. Did you experience culture shock moving to the U.S.?It all happened so quickly I was kind of reeling from it a bi
Not the actual imageAnother biggest diamond was discovered recently and was insured by a London-listed mining company, Gem Diamonds Ltd. It is the 18th biggest diamond that was discovered for $15 million and was confirmed by Chief Executive Clifford Elphick. "We've insured it for around $15 million, that's just our own internal view... it's too soon to say (how much it will sell for)," he told Reuters in an interview. The company earlier said it found the 494-carat diamond at its Letseng mine in Lesotho, but did not say how much it was worth. The diamond was discovered on September 7, 2007 and was currently in Antwerp being cleaned and evaluated, Elphick said. Production at the mine, which has a history of producing high-value gems, is expected to almost double next year with a second processing plant due to be launched by the end of the first quarter. The average value per carat at the mine is around $1,500, nearly 20 times the industry average of $81, Elphick added. The company's

Google image searches can be further refined thanks to a hidden feature few knew about - until this week.A blog post by Ionut Alex Chitu has shown that by adding a simple piece of code to the end of your Google image search, can be used to refine the results. Adding "&imgtype=face" to the end of the search URL string will refine the list of images with just those of faces.Wired blogger Adario Strange posted today that he had taken this search to the next level by replacing the word "face" with "hands" during an image search for PBS television host "Charlie Rose". Strange notes images of Roses hands appearing, however, I was unable to duplicate these results. This kind of image and face recognition is in its infant stages and it will be interesting to see how far Google goes, and when they will in fact release this technology openly within image searches. Its scary to think that perhaps some day, armed only with a photo of someone, a user may be able to use the uploaded image to do a
A new "black smoker"--an undersea mineral chimney emitting hot springs of iron-darkened water--has been discovered at 8,500-foot depths by an expedition funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to explore the Pacific Ocean floor off Costa Rica.Scientists from Duke University, the Universities of New Hampshire and South Carolina, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts have named their discovery the Medusa Hydrothermal Vent Field. The researchers chose that name to highlight the presence there of a unique pink form of the jellyfish order stauromedusae. The jellyfish resemble "the serpent-haired Medusa of Greek myth," said expedition leader Emily Klein, a geologist at Duke University. The bell-shaped jellyfish sighted near the vents may be of a new species "because no one has seen this color before," said Karen Von Damm, a geologist at the University of New Hampshire.According to Von Damm, stauromedusae are usually found away from high-temperature hydrothermal
