Rockville, MD January 26, 2008 – Koh Global, has released the patent pending Koh Dustless Bag System that effectively prevents sensor dust on Digital SLR cameras. Finally, a system to prevent the nagging problems of sensor dust in the first place. The System features an 18 gauge clear polyvinyl bag with self-enclosing hand ports. Inside the bag, a HEPA air-filtering unit removes dust and other particulates to create a safe dust-free environment to exchange camera lenses. The versatile bag also functions as a rain cape. The camera sensor is extremely sensitive and functions as the eye of the camera, any and all physical contact with the sensor should be avoided. Francis Koh, co-inventor of the system, believes that sensor swabbing or wiping to remove dust off sensors will be a thing of the past with the Koh Dustless Bag System.Koh Global, AKA, Koh International, Inc., is a new company that specializes in digital photography accessories and specialty electronic equipment. According to JapanToday.com, Toyota announced the development of the world’s first car seat fabric agent that stops 98% of dust mites from becoming active. Toyota intends to begin offering this new treatment on vehicles sold in Japan in the next few years.
Dust mites, while technically harmless, are definitely very gnarly-looking creatures. [...]
The new dust device has been screwed into my ashbrain. I’m snot, ready for the pain. Can’t you believe the staging? Pretty Faecant! Dust and breathing it hot and good taste destroying loops of ancient cremulation. I am saying goodbye to the beautiful place. There, shared showers every morning … sacred worship of the earth [...]

If you have a digital SLR and change lenses, you probably have small dark spots on your images caused by dirt particles on the sensor. They in size, density and sharpness. You may see them on one image and not on the next.Sensor dust spots are much more obvious at small apertures, and against clean areas such as a sky. In images shot with medium apertures they are larger and lighter gray. With wide enough apertures many may not show at all. They are also less obvious in very bright or very dark areas. Here is a portion of a sky shot with a dirty sensor. more : adorama

What in the Hell is going on in this town?! Most EVERYONE is picking the Lions to beat the Eagles. How short are the memories in Detroit?Locally, as is their wont, they are buying into a pair of wins that could easily be mirages. The Vikings and Raiders may be the 2 worst teams in football, and the Lions struggled to beat both. That's not stopping the local MSM from jumping on the rapidly filling bandwagon, though. On Fridays, the local fishwraps have their "Experts" pick the NFL games, and the predictions are stunning, considering most picked the Lions to lose 10 games before the season started. The Killer? Lions will win. The Little Fella, The Big 10 Hater, and Cotsonika? Lions, Lions, and Lions. At the News, they still haven't quite bought into the Lions fast start, with only Terry Foster is calling for a Lions win, as O'Hara, the functionally retarded hack, and Wojo are picking the Eagles.Even a few of the national pundits are joining the party. Peter King? Lions. Bill Simmons picks
First Chuck Hagel declares he's not running for reelection (or anything else), then former Senator Lincoln Chafee bails on the GOP, and now its Congressman Jim Randstad. From the Star TribuneCiting fatigue and political isolation, U.S. Rep. Jim Ramstad triggered a scramble by potential successors with a surprise announcement Monday that he is retiring from Congress next year after nine terms.Ramstad, 61, had barely finished announcing his decision when at least five potential candidates declared an interest in going after his seat while other potential hopefuls were mentioned. And even though the Third District in the Twin Cities' western suburbs has been supremely safe for him, Ramstad said there's no guarantee it will remain so for a Republican successor. He said he has grown tired from the relentless physical grind of service in Washington and weary of being a lonely centrist in an increasingly polarized legislative body.Looks like the GOP has begun to hemorrhage moderate politicians i
Another Republican, Chuck Hagel, has announced that he, too, plans to get the hell out of Dodge, and who can blame him. Though I think that it is sad to see this one go, since he is rightfully critical of the war in Iraq.Hagel also states that he will not be making a run for the presidency in 2008, which is appropriate. You can see in the image above that he is wearing a Band-Aid on his left thumb, which means that he bleeds, and is therefore human. An actual human being in the White House would be a major setback.Honestly, why would anybody in their right mind want to get in the White House right now? The incredible mess that the current administration has created is going to make for at least 8 years of major overhaul and cleanup. To have to take over, pull out of Iraq, replenish the non-existent budget, repair the global image of the US, and apologize for the past 8 years WHILE trying to fix the Social Security and health care systems in the US? That's a job I'd not want to have. But
Let’s talk about the air around Ground Zero and about the incredible evasions of the truth regarding its safety by the City of New York after 9/11. On this subject, there’s a callousness about the lying that seems to be...

NEW YORK (AP) - Wolf Blitzer’s in the news again. CNN’s colorful, attack-dog journalist was involved in another on-air confrontation, this time with “Sicko” filmmaker Michael Moore.
Wait a minute. THAT Wolf Blitzer?
The only thing colorful about the methodical, old-school reporter is his first name. Yet with Moore, Vice President Cheney and Lynne Cheney, that makes three memorable skirmishes during Blitzer interviews in nine months.
It’s less a reflection on the 59-year-old CNN host than on the growing occupational hazard for people like him: the interview subject who’s ready to pick a fight.
Moore was seething before Blitzer even asked anything on the July 9 appearance. CNN had preceded the interview with a taped report by Dr. Sanjay Gupta alleging Moore had fudged some facts in “Sicko.” Moore disagreed, and felt sandbagged.

What can be more romantic than a man deciding he'd like to move in with you because, erm, his old house has fallen down. We're not entirely sure how one of the walls in Johnny Borrell's place collapsed - perhaps people had just banged their heads against it listening to him talk one time too many - but as the house has collapsed anyway, he's decided he might as well move in with Dunst.
As you can see, TWFE looks quite different today. It was time to do something about the looks of the blog, as the previous template was so 2003. Working on the guts of your blog is EXHAUSTING! Actually, I just wanted to show that I still have all my hair... So far, it's gone fairly well, save for the blog looking slightly different between Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer. Which brings up the question, "Why on earth are you still using IE?"You can anticipate more changes, a new URL, amongst other things, so please be prepared. Thanks for reading!
United Capital Markets has halted redemptions from four of its subprime mortgage funds. They say the halts are temporary and they do not plan to liquidate. Uh huh. I’m sure they don’t “plan” to liquidate, but like the old DC dictum says, if they deny it, the story must be bigger than you think.
Then there’s Brookstreet Securities, who are shutting down after the mortgage-backed portfolios they managed for clients blew up. The SEC is reviewing their financial records. Some of those who let Brookstreet trade for them are now less than zero. They’ve lost everything AND have margin calls, which means they now owe substantial amounts of money.
That the investor always needs to be careful is a given, but doubtless many Brookstreet investors had no idea how risky the ‘investments; were. At least some of them put all their money into Brookstreet, something that should never be done, and which shows them to be unsophisticated investors who sadly just go
Dust from deserts is blowing onto snowpack in the Rockies, China, and the Himalayas, causing the snow to melt a month or more earlier than normal. This could create a feedback loop that will lead to even faster snowmelt.
Early snowmelt means much less water is available for those areas in the late Spring and Summer, something which is extremely bad news for southern California and the US southwest.
