Fashions

  • Fashion Friday: Not all fashions are good
I got this new scarf as a Christmas present. I like the pretty pink flowers, and the leopard print. But I do not like them together. Still, at first I tried my hardest to be a good model. Then, I realized that the scarf was made of polyester! I am a little bit upset about this, because I thought it was made of silk. I think my disappointment might show in my photo.Next, I was supposed to model the scarf on my head. I tried my hardest, but I did not want the polyester touching my head. This is how I really felt about the polyester scarf with too many patterns:Usually I am more professional, but my Mommie did not make me take any more pictures. She only took a few photos, and then I ran off to play. I never have to model anything I do not like. I hope you are not disappointed in me today.

  • Star Wars Fashions – Celebrating in Style
This is a fairly pointless post but I just couldn’t help myself. Looks like designer Marc Ecko, whose popular clothing line simply called Ecko is a favourite of scatters and rappers the world over, is a Star Wars fan! According to our friends over at the HNR, the limited-edition collection of apparel licensed by Lucasfilm will be available through “op domestic/international specialty stores”. I assume this means it won’t be available at your local Walmart but then, Ecko was never available there to begin with. What I think they mean by this is that it’ll be available at high-end retailers that sell the line to begin with. I’ve got to admit that these things look wicked and though I’d probably never wear the tees, I’m loving the hoodie. © Marina for Mad About Movies, 2007. | Permalink | 2 comments Add to del.icio.us Search blogs linking this post with Technorati Want more on these topics ? • Hippie fashions; Saturn-Neptune and yoga in Times Square
An article in the NY Times, “Another Summer of Love,” attests to the growing 60’s fashion flow. Chalk it up to the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception and a little of what’s left of Pluto in gypsy Sag. One person quoted in the article said, “My style is, like, gypsy, something like a ghetto hippie.” You can see a slide show of some of these new hippie fashions here.Just four days away from the last exact opposition of Neptune and Saturn, 800 yoga enthusiasts are doing yoga right in Times Square, New York—Neptune serenity in the midst of Saturnine commerce:A fence [Saturn] guarded the group of people in Times Square in Manhattan as they listened to Douglass Stewart, a lead yoga instructor, belt out directions. Taxis honked horns and fire trucks blared by with their sirens loud. Yet, the group of people were unfazed as they shuffled on their mats.
  • My Favorite Oscar Fashions
I thought this was so sophisticated. Just like Gweneth. Classy! GWYNETH PALTROW wears a Zac Posen gown. This is just so old Hollywood. I love it. RACHEL WEISZ in Vera Wang and vintage jewels from the house of Cartier. Oh, to wear that skirt for just one night! PENELOPE CRUZ in a blush colored strapless Atelier Versace gown. The bustier is made from silk chiffon and the skirt is silk chiffon, organza and tulle. Bold color and fabulous back. Actress JESSICA BIEL in a gown by Oscar de la Renta, and jewelry from Neil Lane. If Ellen could reference DiCaprio for his looks, I thought I would also throw this yummy man in my blog. Don't care about his clothes. Don't worry hubby, I still think you are hunkier. Are you even going to read this anyway???? Need I say anything? Breathtaking. Love the color. REESE WITHERSPOON in Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci with jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels. Eva Green in Givenchy. It's just so different and artistic looking. Not to mention that I l
