I must say with not a great deal of sleep, my first day back at work was a hard one and it was the busiest day of the week but all I wanted to do was put my head on my keyboard and snooze the day away.
A young man, hired by a supermarket, reported for his first day of work. The manager greeted him with a warm handshake and a smile, gave him a broom and said, “Your first job will be to sweep out the store.”
“But I’m a college graduate.” the young man replied indignantly.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know [...]
Rumor: Smash Bros. Brawl sells 500K on first day in JapanFiled under: Retro, Nintendo Wii, Fighting Already this week we've run leaked trailers, information and gameplay videos of Super Smash Bros. Brawl ... so why not add leaked sales numbers to that list? Cubed3 has a translation of a Japanese blog post referencing a purportedly leaked Famitsu sales report that says the highly-anticipated game sold 500,000 copies, or 80 percent of available stock, on its first day of Japanese release. The sourcing is admittedly not very concrete, but the number does seem plausible given reports of retail shortages and the game's strong showing on the Amazon Japan charts. Then again, Super Mario Galaxy only sold 250,00 copies in it's entire first week of release, and that was during the highly-charged holiday season. Has Smash Bros. Brawl shattered Japanese sales expectations, or is something getting lost in translation here? You'll know as soon as we do.Read | Permalink | Ema
Today was my first day back at work. It actually went much better then I thought it would. I was working up at the front desk. We weren’t very busy. I was shocked that DP actually let me go to lunch with CS since I come in so much later. It was nice though. We [...]
Here a video to give you a taste of Valencia. We are winding down from our first day of apartment hunting in Valencia with a bottle a wine we snuck up in our hotel room. Today we looked at 6 places. 3 skank holes, 2 ok places and 1 place which was kind of awesome [...]
I was kicked out on the first day of school. I was told to leave (no classes, no anything) but I didn’t. And I think you knew that already.
Hello 2008!
How was your first day of school?
We like the holiday season. We like it a lot. I just went to a 7am choir rehearsal. Susannah just made cookies with 2.5 pounds of chocolate in them (I’m not exaggerating either of those facts for effect). You may have noticed our TV Bacon header changing in celebration (all Susannah’s brilliance). That’s how much [...]
Our offices are inhumane. In a beatiful campus, we have offices like workbenches. Good samples for the MED 204 course. Modernist design reborn....
went far better than I imagined. Much better than last year. I’m tired after explaining my syllabus for 45 minutes five times today, but the kids were overall well behaved. They may start acting up next week, but I’m so glad they didn’t do it on this the most exhausting day of the year.
I still [...]
And darn it if I not going to get my sh*t together. I have not done a lick of exercise, except for cleaning, weeding, washing, scrubbing, and chasing my little Tasmanian devil (Also known as: Allison Kate).
I got on the Motivated Moms bandwagon and have been following it pretty closely. The house is coming together and looking less of the toy factory blow-up it looked like before.
I started my web design classes the week we came back from Europe. I have learned so much and cannot wait to get even more proficient with everything. I am excited to get things off the ground. I have been playing around with some different design elements and will release some screen shots when I am comfortable with the finished product.
Friday I will go back to Weight Watcher’s. Woot.
I cannot think of anything really exciting, so I will defer to another cute picture of my baby.
Talk about another baby to come soon. (GRIN)

Today is the Summer Solstice -- the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Now all the days will get a bit shorter.
These Solstices happen twice a year. The beginning of the Winder Solstice marks the day when all the days begin getting longer again.
I've always thought it was odd that summer begins with the trend going the other way, toward winter. And that winter also begins with the trend going the other way.
This is the nature of cycles. Just when things appear best, they've reached the peak and the situation is deteriorating.
