Way back in July, I was lucky enough to attend the 2007 Crossroads guitar festival, held right here in the Chicagoland area. Just recently, I finally got the check out the DVD release to commemorate this unique concert event. There were tons of great performances that day, so I’ve been looking forward [...]
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Finance Secretary Babar Awan has claimed that state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) had footage in which some people were shown helping suspected persons escape from the crime scene after the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto. Awan alleged that the government was trying to keep the footage secret and had not shared it with the Scotland Yard team probing Benazir’s assassination. “We demand that the footage be released to national and international TV channels. It could help investigators identify the real perpetrators of the killing,” the Daily Times quoted Awan as saying. He further said the government did not seem serious about the murder probe, as it had not even submitted the FIR to the court yet, adding that police is bound to submit the FIR along with initial investigation reports within 14 days of an incident. He also reiterated PPP’s demand for a UN inquiry into the murder and said that his party would send dele
Jump Festa reveals new footage of PS3 Naruto projectFiled under: Videos and Screenshots CyberConnect 2 is bringing their ninja skills to the PS3 with a currently unnamed Naruto project. The team has been responsible for the Ultimate Ninja series on PS2, which featured a surprisingly fun (and faithful) battle system that followed the events of the early half of the Naruto saga.At Jump Festa, Namco Bandai unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming PS3 project. Unsurprisingly, it looks a lot like the Ubisoft-developed Xbox 360 Naruto game -- although, we're more than certain that the two will ultimately play quite differently from each other.[Via NeoGAF]Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments Link - Comments - Andrew Yoon - Wed, 26 Dec 2007 00:55:00 GMT - Feed (1 subs) jump-festa naruto Sent using SendMeRss.com. When I really started to listen to the music of Bob Dylan was when I first heard about Woodie Guthrie. An American folk legend, Guthrie has had tremendous impact not only on Dylan and other folk artists, but the entire music industry and society as a whole. Moving to Guthrie’s music after [...]

A friend of mine was asking about Free Parking and wanted to see the “Rough Cut.” Although this project was canceled I kept the footage and the edits I had made when it was in production. You can watch what the film could have been if the production [...]
Hotair: I have the clip, although for obvious reasons I’m not going to post it. They even kept the name of the town in which he lives onscreen for most of the segment so I can’t show you the bit with the nut in the burqa saying she wants to kill him. But here’s the strangest part, which isn’t clear from the Gates of Vienna post: Vilks is aware that they’re filming him in front of the two houses. It’s not some stock shot of the door and the light fixture; it’s him, entering the building, with the camera right in his face. Unless CNN led him to believe that they weren’t filming or weren’t going to use the footage, and there’s no reason to think that they did, it was all done with his willing participation. Which, given the bounty placed on his head by Al Qaeda in Iraq and the verdict of Swedish police that he’s not safe at home, makes him one recklessly special idiot.

Lightning knows no boundaries. It can strike anything and anyone at anytime and anywhere. Thus, we should make certain that we are safe and secured from a possible lightning strike. But first and foremost, let us share some interesting facts about lightning and its connection with thunder. Thunder is apparently said to be something that Science is still unable to comprehend till this day. It could be defined as an electrocuted wave resulted from the extremely fast heating and widening of the surrounding air within the lightning bolt. The bolt transforms the air into plasma and immediately blasts, leading to formation of the sounds of thunder. This occurrence takes place concurrently with the flash of lightning, but a thunderclap is normally heard subsequent to the appearance of lightning, as according to Science, the speed of light is greater than the speed of sound. It has also been said that because sound and light move at diverse speeds through the environment, one can gauge the distan

This interesting video of BBC's 9.11 news coverage comes courtesy the fine people at archive.org.Everyone has seen the actual collapse of both World Trade Towers 1 and 2 after the terror attacks on Sept. 11th 2001. The collapse of World Trade Center 7 building later that day however doesn't get nearly as much mention, so I thought I would share this with you.In the footage you can watch BBC's reporter standing in front of the actual WTC7 while reporting (live) to the world that the building has collapsed.Amazingly, the BBC claims that it has lost copies of this live on-the-scene footage from September 11th, a day which was historically one of the most important days in modern times akin to Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor or the assassination of JFK.The video can be viewed here: http://www.archive.org/details/bbc200109111654-1736The following excerpted from the above link: March 4, 2007 Subject: Some Background and Context for this ClipI am Director of Collections at the Internet Archive
