That’s right, I said that. It’s coming on Saturday, February 23rd. If your one of those lucky people with the NFL Network you can watch guys run drills that will take you back to the Presidential Fitness Tests in gym class in the 80’s. You can watch it with more in mind [...]

Things have slowed down in the fantasy football world. The posts on some of my favorite blogs have gone down…I’m sad. Are you just waiting for the end of summer to get rolling again? Are you telling me you love fantasy football but are not in a Dynasty/Keeper league that keeps you busy [...]
Jermaine Jenas is finally enjoying this season after a woeful start to the season by Tottenham hotspurs. They lost many games at the start which saw Martin Jol sacked and his successor Juande Ramos has finally succeded in bringing a feel good environment to the players out there.Jenas has said that the good atmosphere is there because they still have a chance to win a silverware this season and also they have recovered now in the EPL to sit at the midtable.Tottenham face Slavia Prague in the UEFA cup in the round of 32 and also face chelsea in the finals of the Carling cup.Jenas hope should certainly become true for all the tottenham fans.
So you’ve decided to cross over to the dark side of fantasy football and ditch the D/STs? You’d better know your stuff because you aren’t always going to be able to draft the households names on defense. Names like Clinton Hart, Barrett Ruud and Darnell Dockett might better serve you in your run to the [...]
What a turn around in the world of Redskins football! Dan Snyder has named former Seattle Seahawks…and now former Redskins Offensive Coordinator…Head Coach of the Washington Redskins. It has been just two weeks since he was named O.C. in Washington.

The All-American Football League is still not listening to the naysayers. They are going to do this. The AAFL has hooked up with Touchdown Radio Productions Inc. Plan is to air all games nationally. Remember when the NFL did that before deciding to charge you to listen to a [...]

NiFTy-TV is taking those hard to see sporting events online! It already broadcasts some minor league hockey, MMA, baseball, and football. This last week it announced a partnership with the Arena Football developmental league, the af2.
“We are pleased to partner with the af2 to bring their 2008 season to fans nationwide,” said [...]
Anyone wanna play?
I got this "football" included for free with the purchase of the Invicta 8935 for $64 for both. It has a grippy rubberized feel to it, not leathery. Probably a little easier on the hands to catch since it is softer than a leather ball. I have serious doubts that the yellow would hold up if dropped on asphalt. The colors and big logo are obnoxious. I wouldn't pay a penny for
A new research using high-tech helmets has shown that even low-impact head hits in sports like American football can cause brain injuries, a finding which might lead to better understanding about head traumas and improved sporting equipments. According to a report in Discovery News, Kevin Guskiewicz, professor of exercise and sport science and director of the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, conducted the research. Guskiewicz and his team conducted their research using a sensor-imbedded helmet called the Revolution IQ HITS, which contains six sensors that measure acceleration. Placed at the crown of the helmet, as well as the left side, right side, face and back, the sensors measure in real time the amount of g-force a player's head experiences at impact, where the hit occurs, and where it comes from. G-force, which is a measure of acceleration against the Earth's gravitational pull, is something astronau
Do you fancy Football rugby? I know, i know. . . This is a game that is not quite popular in asian countries but by god, its as popular as basketball in other continents like in europe and america. I really am not familiar about the game's technicalities and its rules but I sure do know one thing for certain - its a game for guys!We have been playing this game when ever we go to the beach especially when im with cousins or my other friends. You might want to play this game in a computer software or something to be familiarized with its technicalities and rules. I was playing this once in play station two console and I did not get the hang of it directly and I did get it after a few tries. If youre really serious about this one, I would like to recommend you to RBS or the six nation tournament that is going on right now. Rugby games are really crazy in those countries so why not join in the mix?

it is now almost a certainty the New York Football Giants will lose the Super Bowl. CIA Director Mike Hayden has picked them to win 28-24. If CIA picks in the past are any indicator of what will happen, it is a certainty the Giants are doomed to lose.
It is Friday afternoon as I write and the upcoming weekend in the United States has many, if not most, people preparing to celebrate the NFL Championship Football Game (no, not soccer). What was once a dreary winter weekend from the East Coast to the West Coast has been transformed into a wunderkind
We are just days away from the biggest game of the year. The Patriots are up to becoming the first team to post a 19-0 record and the first team since the 72′ Dolphins to run the table. What better time to take a look back at the Top Ten Super Bowls [...]
With the Super Bowl fast approaching and the possibility of my favorite negative thinking team, my New England Patriots, attempting to go for a perfect season, I thought I’d throw the negative spotlight on Football. Not that sport the world calls football and Americans call “guys running around yet not scoring”. But real American football.

You guys have heard of this right? While most upstart football leagues tend to fold before the story even hits print that they were forming, the All American Football League is going strong…they have had a draft and everything.
Here is the short story for those not in the know. The league is [...]
TJ Ford’s latest Mockage is up. This time he is throwing in some trades. As we know that sometimes people like to speculate trades as well as speculating where people will fall as the order is, we will have both Mock Drafts available in the menu above from here on out. The [...]
Biggest Fantasy Surprise
Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers-Big Ben increased his touchdown passes from 18 in 2006 to 32 in 2007, and he was able to trim his interceptions from 23 to 11.
Biggest Fantasy Disappointment
RB Larry Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs-After two straight years of over 1700 rushing yards and double digit touchdowns, Johnson had just 559 yards [...]
The Manchester United officials believe that their gross revenue of 245million pounds till June 2007 exceeds that of the Spanish giants Real Madrid by just 12 Euros, making it richest football club of the world once again. Real Madrid laid claim to the honour of being the richest football club of the world for couple of years, United’s current fan-base has been estimated at 333 million. Chief executive of the Manchester United, David Gill, belies that the number of active supporters hovers around the 139 million mark, of which 83 million are based in Asia. It is little wonder the Old Trafford outfit have been able to post profits of 59.6million pounds for the 12 months to June 2007, a massive 93 per cent rise on the previous year. With revenue streams increasing in every area and more to come this year once the new, vastly-improved Premier League TV deal starts to take effect, United are in far healthier shape than anyone could have predicted before

How did we piss off the NFL football Gods so badly that they saddled us with the most dysfunctional organization on the face of the planet? What have we done as a fanbase in the past to deserve the Detroit Lions? Our fan forefathers must have done something! But what? What was so bad that caused Detroit to the get the butt end of football's ugly stick? Was it booing Bobby Layne? Fans who preferred Tobin Rote over Layne? Throwing snowballs at Lions coach George Wilson? Did Lions fans become too cocky after winning 3 NFL championships in the 50's? Something happened in the late 50's-early 60's that jinxed the Lions, and allowed the William Clay Ford era to begin...And never, ever end. Then again, we modern day fans may not be blameless. Why do we deserve the worst general manager in the history of sports, Matt Millen, to be inflicted upon us? Did we take Barry Sanders for granted? Cheer when Scott Mitchell was injured? Make fun of Bobby Ross' verbal outbursts? What did we do?! Why are we sin
I don't see a very bright immediate future for the Tennessee Volunteers. This might seem an odd conclusion based on the evidence:- We lose a senior QB in Eric Ainge, two good tight ends, a couple of experienced defensive linemen, possibly a middle linebacker if Jerod Mayo turns pro, and a vastly overrated defensive back in Justin Harrel. Those are the main losses.- We return the entire receiving corps, the entire running back corps, the freshman defensive player of the year in Eric Berry, and two good kickers. The junior backup QB is serviceable and experienced, and some new QB's will compete for the starting jobThere are four coaches to replace, including the offensive coordinator, the receiving coach, the running back coach and the tight ends coach. None of them will be easy, and there are very few good, young, innovative OC's out there to be had. While every unit should improve next year, I don't see the talent in any of them to improve to the point of being an elite unit. The r
It’s coming! One of the reasons for moving Football Jabber to it’s own host was because of the plans we had coming up for the NFL Draft. As much as we love those college bowl games, we look forward to the end of them so the focus can turn toward the draft.

My team just finished winning the Super Bowl in my league. Here is what my final roster looked like:
*QB Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
*QB Eli Manning, New York Giants (played him only two weeks)
*RB Joseph Addai, Indianapolis Colts
RB Earnest Graham, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
RB Kenny Watson, Cincinnati Bengals
RB Adrian Peterson, Chicago Bears
*RB Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars
*WR Greg [...]
The Eagles were unable to take Terrell Eldorado Owens out in last Sunday’s game, but the Carolina Panthers handed him his annual injury. The Football Gods have finally answered my prayers.
In an eerily similar image to Owens being hurt in 2004, T.O.’s leg was bent behind him awkwardly as he was being tackled. Clearly Owens [...]
This is day one of 2 for TSF's Bowl predictions. Being there are 32 bowl games, we'll divide them up with two posts.Poinsettia Bowl Utah vs. NavyTSF's Take: Navy has a stellar rushing game and Utah's Defense is vulnerable but Utah is far more athletic and I have a feeling Utah will play like they did in their 44-6 win over UCLA.New Orleans BowlMemphis vs. Florida AtlanticTSF's Take: Memphis just has more depth and talentPapajohns.com BowlSouthern Miss vs. CincinnatiTSF's Take: Cincy has had some impressive wins and they have a high octane offense.New Mexico BowlNevada vs. New MexicoTSF's Take: I like Nevada's poise and physicalityLas Vegas BowlUCLA vs. BYUTSF's Take: BYU is underrated. Their offense can put up points and their defense is stellar.Hawaii BowlBoise St. vs. East CarolinaTSF's Take: Boise has way too much talent and overall experience.Motor City BowlPurdue vs. Central MichiganTSF's Take: CMU has too soft of a defense and Purdue will be able to expose that.Holiday BowlArizon
This is day 2 of our bowl predictions. Enjoy...Humanitarian BowlGeorgia Tech vs. Fresno St.TSF's Take: Two words: Tashard ChoiceSun BowlSouth Florida vs. OregonTSF's Take: Oregon hasn't been the same since the loss of Dennis Dixon and the Bulls have some impressive recent wins.Music City BowlKentucky vs. Florida St.TSF's Take: Kentucky can beat anyone, Andre Woodson will not let his college career end in a loss.Insight BowlIndiana vs. Oklahoma St.TSF's Take: This is pretty much a toss=up, so I'll take Big 12 over Big Ten almost anyday.Chick-fil-a BowlClemson vs. AuburnTSF's Take: Auburn has too much fire power for ClemsonOutback BowlWisconsin vs. TennesseTSF's Take: Another SEC Sr. QB, Erik Ainge, won't let his college career end in a loss. Tennessee's young D has stepped up and come a long ways since the beginning of the season.Cotton BowlMissouri vs. ArkansasTSF's Take: This is a tough pick for me, really, but something tells me Darren McFadden is gonna have a huge game, especially a
I did not do much better than I did last week. Here are the picks from week 14:
Tony Homo- A very good game for this guy. He passed for 302 yards, 2 TDs, and no INTs.
Brian Westbrook- Westbrook come up big again with 20 carries for 116 yards. He also had 5 receptions for 38 [...]
The Sun's very own Gordon Smart seems to think that Pilates is not manly enough for the West Ham Footballers (soccer players for those of you still living in the US). His 11th December piece, cheekily entitled "At It Hammer & Tones" claims that "The West Ham lads are going to get a hammering over their latest footie fitness regime."Anton Ferdinand, Freddie Ljundberg, and David Beckham's good friend, goalie Rob Green have all started doing PILATES to keep them supple during season. Come on, Gordon, be a Real Man and try a Pilates class. We can kick your butt! Tags: Pilates, Sports, Gordon Smart, lynda lippin

The 4 letter has been babbling non-stop today about Cowboys-Packers. Same with the interwebs. Yet thanks to the pissing match between two insanely rich and profitable entities, the only way I can see even bits and pieces of the big game is by watching those bits and pieces over the 1 1/2" x 2" screen on my nifty Samsung phone generously given to me by Sprint (Gotta get the occasional plug in, you know?), or the same feed on NFL.com.Again, that feed is not the game itself, but just "Look-ins" and key plays inside the 20, hosted by NFL approved talking heads. This is just more typical corporate bullshit, with the fan is getting the ass end of the deal.As a fan, I've been bent over by the cable cartel, the NFL, and the Big 10 all damn football season, and there's no end in sight. We continue to be abused by money grubbing companies who refuse to answer to the wants and needs of their customers, but only to their money grubbing stockholders. There's no sign of the bitter battles to get the N
I love football. We get up every Sunday morning, make breakfast (or go to Subway for a yummy breakfast sandwich), and then watch football from NFL Countdown until the tragedy that is Football Night in America starts. We stopped watching that piece of junk weeks ago, and I've even written on why the show has completely ruined the Sunday aftern5 Zoom(s)
The Giants start the 4th with a short pass to Droughns, 2nd and 4 at the Lions 36. Christ, offside Lions, AGAIN. Giants 1st down at the Lions 31.It's Droughns up the gut, gets 6 more. The Lions need to make a play of some sort. They can't afford to give up another another score the way the offense is struggling.Moss is WIDE OPEN at the 10, another 1st down Giants. Droughns is stopped for a loss on 1st down, 2nd and 13.Eli Roth back to pass, pressured, rolls right, and throws it way. 3rd and 13. Lions need to hold them to a FG attempt. It's a pass to Shockey, and he's short of the goal line. 4th down at the 3. Giants will kick the easy FG.The chip shot is good, and the Giants have moved from being up 2 scores, to 2 TD's. 16-3, New York Football Giants lead. The Lions weak ass return team takes the kickoff to the 23. Is there less of a threat to run the ball back than Avieon Cason? I didn't think so.Kitna is back, it's a moonball to Williams...He jumps, and brings it down at the 50! Alrig
Now fortified with a yummy Anchor Steam, I'm ready for the 3rd quarter. I hope Rod Marinelli has kicked some locker room ass, and has the Lions fortified and ready for the 2nd half...Moose tells us this is the best he's seen the Giants play all season. Let's not talk about the awfulness of the Lions...The Leo's will kick, and it's the 1st we've seen of Jason Hanson today, which is quite telling as to how the game has gone. Hanson out and out booms the kickoff, touchback! Goose says Marinelli told him "We need to tackle better." No fucking shit, Sherlock...Burress drops a sure 1st down pass on 1st down, so we're off to a good start. A 2nd down pass to Shockey misfires as well. Manning was being chased by Big Baby, but Rogers was knocked down, and out of the game by another Lion. Figures.Yes! Burress can't handle a 3rd down pass from Eli Whitney, they will punt. Walters with the fair catch at the 31.Come on, offense! DO SOMETHING!Kitna rolls right, throws on the run DEEP for Williams, b
As FOX comes back from commercial, we see a pile of humanity on top of Kitna, as FOX missed the snap, and then sack. On 3rd down and 19, it's a near pick on an incomplete pass to Williams.SHITSHITSHIT McQuarters breaks the punt return, thanks to sloppy coverage, and the Giants will start at the Lions 38. Fuck...Yes! Jacobs is stuffed for a 2 yard loss, and the Giants are called for holding to boot! 1st and 20 from the 48. Make a God damn play, defense! Which they don't as Manning gets 13 on an out pass.2nd and 7, Jacobs busts through a Lions D-back attempted tackle in the backfield, gets 3.Another 3rd and short. Lions threaten to blitz...FUCK. Complete for a 1st...BALLLLL! Moss is stripped by Kenoy Kennedy, fumbles, mass of humanity ensues, LIONS RECOVER! Hells yes! The Lions D gets ANOTHER turnover. They have been amazing in that category this season.FOX comes back from commercial just in time to see Kitna hits Sean McHugh in the flat, takes it 18 yards to the 39!SCREEN! Well, you co
After taking a birthday hiatus from my Detroit Lions blogging, I'm back for another Sunday of Detroit Lions uber-blogging.We are watching live from TWFE HQ, the 6-3 Detroit Lions vs the 6-3 New York Football Giants. The winner gets essentially a 2 game lead over other the for the NFC wild card, so today's matchup has huge playoff ramifications. (Never thought I'd be saying that 10 weeks ago...)It's the most important game (Excluding the Super Bowl) in the short history of Ford Field. It's easily the Lions' most important since the Christmas Eve 2000 game against the Bears. That was a win or go home, do or die game which resulted in a heartbreaking last play loss (You go to Hell and you die, Paul Edinger! And take Stoney Case with you!), the firing of Gary Moeller, and ultimately ushered in the Matt Millen era.We can only hope this Lions' matchup ends with a much better result...We join FOX's broadcast team of Marv Albert's mongoloid looking brother Kenny, Moose Johnson, and the sidelin
