The Japanese Friendship Garden was built in 1915 for the Panama-California Exposition. The Garden sits on 2 1/2 acres within Balboa Park, San Diego. The Koi Pond [s a favorite location for weddings and the Ceremonial Plaza can host large receptions. The Exhibit House has rotating exhibits that feature various arts, crafts, and collections from the Japanese culture.
