I was talking earlier today about how good training can really set you up for a great career in your chosen industry. The training you receive can be the difference between landing your dream job or missing out on the opportunity all together. In the modern world training really is necessary no matter what job you plan on doing.Training can also have other benefits. During my training I quickly learned that the job I was planning on doing wasn't for me and I was able to switch to a more appropriate training course before I had completely gone down the wrong path. Once I found an area I enjoyed it seemed like the training wasn't really work at all and I enjoy the job I have now (almost) every day!AS-SA is a sales training, course and consultancy company in the UK. The are a 26 year old company that offers Sales Training UK, which is designed to help organisations improve sales performance. They have a great range of sales courses in many different areas including commitment selling, col
I said yesterday that reading blogs is one of my favorite things to do, well I also like reading finance news too - even though I don't know a whole lot about it I still like to keep up with the latest in this area. Recently I was interested to hear that many homeowners are confused about which if the many Mortgages to choose from. I can certainly understand how this is the case, but it doesn't sound like it makes for a very good situation to be in. Buying a house is already stressful enough without adding to the pressure of having to choose from the many mortgages avalaible. I personally think that people should choose a good mortgage broker who will go through all the deals with you and also inform you of any hidden fees or charges that you should take into account. They really can help alleviate the confusion because they have access to all the major lenders and can quickly compare the differences between them and help you choose a mortgage. I guess the main problem at the moment is
There is probably nothing more important in life than receiving quality training in the area you are looking to work in. Whether you want to become a plummer or a manager of a business, quality training can land you the job you have always wanted. So it really pays to make sure the training service you are using is completely up to standard. Avand is a website that has been setup to takes away the pressure of doing this yourself. They simply collect your details and find the most suitable trainers in your area who will contact you . The best part about this great service is that they will only put you in contact with properly qualified trainers! On of my mates is a trained plummer and he is thankful now he went through all the Plumbing Courses because he is making more money than many of our other management type friends. He has told me that the training was well worth the extra effort and helped land him a job with one of the biggest plumbers in town. Now he owns his own business and h
Elaine Joyce, a champion amateur golfer, and her father were looking forward to a weekend tournament last May at the respected public course on Cape Cod where they hold full memberships. But their names were not listed when officials posted the tee times for the event at the Dennis Pines course. Joyce’s father, Pat, received a call from the club’s head pro, Russell Champoux, who said the tournament was not open to women. It did not matter that Joyce would play from the men’s tees. Or that she had won more than 20 club championships over the years. Or that she had captured the title in 2001 at an event for the state’s top female club champions. Joyce complained to the town, but over the next several months, Robert Canevazzi, the Dennis town administrator, did not budge. When Joyce filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination in July, the club said its actions were not discriminatory. In a letter, Canevazzi told Joyce that the club would begin
I love reading blogs, in fact that is probably a large part of the reason that I decided to start this very blog you are reading now. I read all kinds of blogs and one of my favorites is the Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney Blog | California Criminal Law Forum. This is written by former LA prosecutor Dmitry Gorin (pictured below) who blogs about criminal law, latest law news or stories, courtroom defenses and many many more topics. If you are interested in criminal law or just keeping up with the latest in that area then I recommend you visit the blog.
Phil Mickelson held off a strong challenge from fellow American Jeff Quinney to grab a one-shot lead after Saturday's third round at the Northern Trust Open. Four strokes ahead of the field overnight, Mickelson fired a one-under-par 70 in firm, fast conditions at Riviera Country Club to post an 11-under total of 202. Former U.S. amateur champion Quinney joined Mickelson at the top of the leaderboard with an ace at the par-three sixth before slipping back into second place with a 67. American John Rollins was a further four shots back at six under after shooting a six-birdie 69 on a breezy, sun-drenched day. World number two Mickelson, in pursuit of his 33rd PGA Tour title but his first at Riviera, made a faltering start when he three-putted for bogey at the par-three fourth. His playing partner Quinney had birdied the first and fifth, where he rolled in a 21-footer, and briefly snatched the outright lead with his spectacular ace at the sixth. His tee
Phil Mickelson seems determined to add Los Angeles to his collection of West Coast trophies.A year after losing at Riviera in a playoff, Mickelson played golf as spectacular as the weather Friday in the Northern Trust Open, finishing with a 20-foot birdie putt on the final hole for a 7-under 64 and a four-shot lead.Even after starting with a 68, Mickelson felt he was close to putting his game together. It started with a 3-iron to 12 feet on the par-5 first for a simple birdie, and built momentum with a 60-foot birdie on the fifth and never slowed. When he finished his best score ever at Riviera, he was at 10-under 132 and in firm command going into the weekend."This is a tournament that has eluded me," Mickelson said of the only city in the West Coast Swing where he hasn't won. "The West Coast means a lot to me."Robert Allenby, who won at Riviera in 2001 in the cold and rain, did OK in warm sunshine with a 66 that put him at 136 with Jeff Quinney, who made bogey on the final hole for a
As you all know Valentines day has come and gone again and while the day doesn't last very long the memories can last a lifetime. This Valentines day I spent some of the time reminiscing with my wife about the romantic New York city tours we took one Valentines day a few years ago. I don't get to the US very often, but I have just loved every visit I have ever made. Wandering through central park on Valentines day was a great, but very cold (I am a tropical boy after all), experience. My wife just loved the city (even though she is a bit of a country girl) and we spent days just exploring the city. We went on a great harbor cruise where we saw the Statue of Liberty in all her glory and took an informative double decker bus trip around the city.If you are looking for tours in the most popular US cities then Trusted Tours & Attractions are a top notch company. Their website has heaps of available tours and vacation ideas that will have you planning your next holiday in no time. If yo
I am always searching for good suppliers of new and used golf balls. The fact that I spend a bit of time in the trees probably accounts for my need to find a quality supplier. Golf Balls and Accessories is one site that I have used before and they certainly have the range I am looking for at the right price. I often buy a bulk pack of A and B grade balls for my practice rounds and it just doesn't hurt as much to lose one to a wayward shot or to one of the many lakes around my local course.I have also used their mixed bags of nike golf balls, which I found to be of superb quality even for playing in my local club tournaments. However, they have all the major brands including Titleist, Nike, Callaway, Noodle, Dunlop, Lady, Precep and many more all in mint condition. You will even find brand new golf balls and equipment. They also stock all the usual golf related accessories and their bulk packs of golf tees are a great choice for anyone that wants to save a few dollars. All their prices
Some golfers think that golf warm up consists of hitting the driving range with everything they have, but this is not the case. An effective warm up session is about making the actual game as successful as possible by practicing a variety of swings and becoming more familiar with some of the conditions a golfer may face on the course. For instance, how you play golf on a day with no wind is different than you would play on a windy day. You probably also play differently when the temperature is hot as compared to days when it is cooler. Here are a few tips from golfers who regularly spend time on the course. A good way to start is driving, but be sure to start slowly. For your first several drives, opt for a short iron to give your muscles some time to loosen up for the rest of the day. Take your time to work up to the longer drives while keeping in mind that the goal is not only distance of the ball but also control. In fact, control is more important than the ball’s distance
There are many methods to learn to improve your golf game; one-on-one golf lessons with a professional instructor, golf instruction school, using golf training aids, practicing on the driving range and using online golf lessons. In this article, I am going to cover the last method and show you where you can get the best golf tips lessons on the web. There are quite a few golf instruction resources on the web to choose from, but the one that I like is PurePoint Golf. They cover every type of golf tips lessons on the web, including free online golf lessons, a golf instruction school in the form of a monthly golf apprentice program, a collection of excellent golf instructional videos, a free newsletter which includes free online golf videos and golf tips to improve your game. The lead golf instructor at PurePoint Golf is Bobby Eldridge. In his 38 years of teaching experience he has helped professionals and amateurs of all ages and skill levels reach their goals. His mission is to help eve
South Korea's K.J. Choi shrugged off increasingly blustery conditions to go into an early one-shot lead in the Northern Trust Open first round on Thursday. The 37-year-old, who won his seventh PGA Tour title at last month's Sony Open in Hawaii, fired a flawless six-under-par 65 at Riviera Country Club. South Korea-born Kevin Na, who is now a U.S. citizen, was alone in second place after carding a five-birdie 65. Americans Chad Campbell and Vaughn Taylor opened with 67s while world number two Phil Mickelson, the highest-ranked player in a strong field at Riviera, returned a 68. Choi, who spent last week relaxing at his Texas home, made a fast start in calm early conditions with birdies on the first two holes. With his approach play in sparkling order, he then picked up further shots at the fifth and seventh to reach the turn in four-under 31. As the wind strengthened on the tree-lined layout, he struck a sand wedge approach to three feet to set
Slicing has always been my problem. Whenever I get a little tense or when trying to hit the golf ball a little bit too hard I usually slice the ball. Fortunately I am not the only golfer that suffers with this problem and there are many different articles and videos out there to help us. This little video I found today is from a former Nationwide tour winner and will show you a fantastic drill you can follow to cure your slice. I hope this helps someone out there because I know how frustrating it can be!
Frenchman Rafael Jacquelin held a one-stroke lead over Ireland's Damien McGrane, Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell and Spain's Jose Manuel Lara heading into the final round of the Indian Masters.BMW Asian Open champion Jacquelin, who missed the cut in Dubai last week, scored a level-par, third-round 72 on a blustery day to remain at six under par at the Delhi Golf Club. He got lucky over the closing holes, once rebounding out of the trees into the middle of the fairway - how nice it is to see an old-fashioned tree-lined course for a change; Tiger Woods's two-iron would certainly have been in the bag - and once stopping just short of out of bounds. The top four are not exactly career winners. Jacquelin won for only the second time last year, McGrane has never won, Lara captured his first title last year and McDowell has not triumphed since 2004.Overnight leader McGrane (75) slipped back into a tie for second after windy conditions disrupted the game plan which had helped him to a two-st
Northern Ireland's Damien McGrane stroked a majestic 69 to take a two shot lead at the Indian Masters on Friday, as Ernie Els made amends for his disastrous opening round to scrape through the cut. Another Irishman Graeme McDowell, who finished fifth behind Tiger Woods in Dubai on Sunday, shares second place with South Africa's Hendrik Buhrmann and Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin at six under for the tournament on 138. But on a cold and grey Delhi day first round leader Jyoti Randhawa lost the plot, firing a five-over-par 77 to be six behind McGrane. Former Ryder Cup star Thomas Bjorn remains in the hunt at four under while US veteran Mark O'Meara is on the fringes of the leaderboard after a 73 left him six strokes adrift. World number four Els, who was rattled by a nine on Thursday, looked to be heading for an early plane home after bogeying the first but he rallied with an eagle at the eighth and a birdie on the 14th. And he fared much better on the par-5 18th that undid him in roun
As many of you already know I work in Australia, but this probably is because I am an Australian. Even though I am a little biased Australia is a great country with a skills shortage at the moment so there are many high paying jobs available for those that are willing to work. At jobs.com.au you can find some great information about many of the available Jobs in Australia with links to places you can search for a job in Australia. The website is crisp and clean with a great design and layout (I am a little jealous!) . You will find everything from executive jobs to a comprehensive list of salary calculators. The website is really informative and would be worth visiting if you are looking for a job in Australia.
Ernie Els shot a horror quadruple bogey to lag 10 behind leader Jyoti Randhawa at the inaugural Indian Masters on Thursday, with the local star eagling the last for a two shot lead. Irishman Damien McGrane played two rounds with Tiger Woods at the Dubai Desert Classic last week and the world number one's magic clearly rubbed off as he fired a 67 to lie second, alongside Englishman Richard Finch. Rejuvenated Dane Thomas Bjorn, Delhi resident Shiv Kapur, and Spain's Jose Mauel Lara lurk one further back at the 2.5 million dollars event, while US veteran Mark O'Meara rolled back the years with a 69. Randhawa, who posted four top-10 finishes on the European Tour last year, used his local knowledge to good effect, putting together three birdies and two eagles. But fellow Indian Jeev Milkha Singh, seen as a favourite to win, succumbed to the pressure with a poor 77. Randhawa has won on the Lodhi course five times before and he thought back to those victories to tailor his game. "My pas
A golf outside who simply watches the game may pose questions such as, "How hard can it be to hit a ball that isn't moving?" They may compare it to baseball and suggest that it is far easier since baseball players hit balls that are actually moving at high speeds. With this attitude, the golf outside decides to try out some golf courses under the impression that the game is relaxing, requiring little effort. However, the golf outsider will soon find this to be far from the truth. Most newcomers to golf give up before they really start to understand what it takes to hit the ball. Logically, it makes sense that a long iron golf club could hit the small ball many years, yet when the beginning golfer tries it for the first time, there is usually very little movement, if even that. He or she soon learns that there is much more to hitting the ball than one would think. It is natural to cup the iron under the ball in order to hit it into the air, but take a closer look at the club. The club i
There are 6 basic steps in the golf swing that each golfer should be aware prior to each golf shot. Step number 1 is body alignment relative to the target. Start by standing 2 to 3 yards behind the golf ball, with your body and the ball forming a straight line to the target. Pick out a guiding target directly behind and directly in front of the golf ball that is in the line your body and the golf make toward the target. These targets could be anything on the ground inches in front and behind the golf ball like leaves, grass, a broken tee, whatever. Focus on these ground targets that fall on the line you picked out to the target as you approach the golf ball. Align the club face behind the ball, with the center of the club face on a direct line between the two ground targets you have selected. Grip the club with just enough tension to keep it from slipping in your hands throughout the course of the golf swing. Align your feet on a parallel plane with your ground targets, shoulder width
Some of us are fortunate enough to live where we can golf year-round. Others of us enjoy winter vacations to locales, either in the U.S. or abroad, that boast the sunny, dry weather that makes an afternoon on the links one of life's greatest pleasures. As for the rest of us, well, we longingly await the coming of spring and our next round of golf.Whether we're just learning the game or are avid players, this is the perfect time of year to haul out our equipment and make sure we're prepared for the coming season. Here are some things to consider when gearing up:Golf Clubs: Look at your golf clubs and think about your game. Do your clubs show your ability to its best advantage, or are they relics whose time has long passed? If you're ready for a new set (or even a new driver or putter), you can't go wrong with TaylorMade, Callaway, or any other premium brand. If you can't afford the best, Callaway pre-owned golf clubs are certified and will help you get the most from your game. This is p
I was watching Annika give a golf clinic and one thing she really stressed was to keep the same golf swing regardless of what club you are hitting. If you need more distance then use a less lofted club. If you need less distance then use a more lofted club - But keep the same swing. One of the ladies asked a very good question: "...your swing is so effortless and I think I do the same thing but why does your ball go so much further..." Annika's answer was that she hits a lot of balls every day. She practices enough to be consistent and she has her timing down so everything is working in synch. Some people are good artists, some people are good business people...but in all cases, they didn't get those skills without a lot of hard work. I am an occasional golfer. I try to get out once a week but that is all dependent upon business. So the truth is that I may get out every week and a half on average during the Spring and Summer and I don't hit any balls in between. So the chance of me bei
I recently read a short story about Jack Nicklaus. He misses a short putt, and then a fan says to him, "Sorry you missed that one Jack." So then Jack says, "I didn't miss the putt. It just didn't go in." What I believe he was trying to say, was that how in his mind he made the putt, because he applied the mental side of golf first. He saw the ball go in the hole, before he actually took his putt. Having the correct mental mindset should be the first step in your game of golf. Before your body does anything you want it to, you first had to think about what you wanted it to do. Even a simple task such as walking, requires your mind to calculate a number of things, like how far each leg needs to move, where each foot is going to land, and where your body weight needs to be distributed, so that you maintain your balance. Taking a golf swing or putt is no different, your mind needs to calculate the whole process every time. Take a moment before each one of your shots to setup your mental ga
If you want to improve your golf scores quickly, what is the first part of the game you should work on? Well before you can answer this question you need to analyse a round of golf in a specific way. An interesting and very effective method to use is "The Pareto Principle". The Pareto Principle, otherwise known as the 80-20 law, states that 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. Or more specifically, a large percentage of the output result in generated by a small percentage of the input parameters. This could be 80/20 or 90/10 or 70/5 (it doesn't add necessarily add up to 100 as it is a relationship between two different measurements). Applying this to golf we would need to see which clubs were used in a round and how many shots were played with each club. We could then relate each club to the total score by a percentage of the score taken by that club Here is an example: Suppose you went round in a score of 90 on a Par 72 course. Assume your set of clubs is made up of 1 Drive
Putting new grips on your golf clubs can be a inexpensive and effective solution to quickly give you more consistency in your game. Most amateur golfers never change the grips on their clubs. They play for years with a set of clubs without ever changing the grips! Whereas, some professionals have been known to re-grip their clubs at the end of every competitive round. They do this so their clubs feel exactly the same. Chances are that they don't need them re-gripping that often, but in today's tour competitions there is so much money at stake that they do not want to leave anything to chance. How often should you re-grip your clubs? A good general rule is: if you play once a week, then you should change the grips on your clubs once a year. Play twice a week, change twice a year etc. Of course, if you do a lot of practice on the range you should consider changing your grips even more frequently. You could easily hit 30 shots with your driver in a range session. In a round of golf you m
In a previous writing I stated that I had been playing golf for about thirty years or so. For the first 13 years of the thirty, I had played the game but never realized the collateral benefits to be derived from the game. I used to arrive at the golf course, set up my bag and clubs on the golf cart, and proceed to go out on the course and beat that little white ball around until it got into the intended hole. Golf was meant to be a fun and delightful experience, not one of frustration or anger because the ball did not respond to your every whim and command. For the new or beginning golfer, who has not experienced the roller coaster ride of emotions and frustrations that you can encounter during a round of golf, don't be disheartened, you soon will. That is unless you employ the proper mindset right from the beginning and do not take the game too seriously. I planned my first golf trip in April of 1990 and decided to go to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina "The Golf Capital Of The World". My
This is another strange golfing related story I thought I would share:Police say a Glastonbury woman is on life support after falling off a golf cart after leaving a Super Bowl party in Florida. A spokeswoman for the Palm Beach Country Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Audrey Hanrahan apparently lost her balance when she stood up to wipe something off the windshield. She fell and suffered severe head injuries. The spokeswoman says the accident happened in Wellington, Fla., as Hanrahan was leaving a restaurant with Christine and Jonathan McCrea of Wellington. Christine McCrea was driving. The spokeswoman says the sheriff’s office is investigating whether alcohol or drugs were involved.AAP
Warming up for golf is very important, but unlike the tour pros most club golfers don't have 40 minutes or more to warm up. I am no expert so I have found a great video from Ramsay McMaster that will show you a fantastic 5 minute warm up. Ramsay has trained the likes of Arron Baddeley, Henrik Stenson and Geoff Ogilvy and really knows what he is talking about. If you can get to the course 10 mintes early and perform these exercises I believe that you will be able to knock a few shots off your early hole scores.

There is nothing more important for a golfer than caring for your body - especially your back. You can have the best clubs money can buy, but if your back gives out then you cannot even play the game. Just ask Greg Norman who's well documented back problems led to his downfall. Purchasing a well designed massage chair can really help in this area. Human Touch have a great range of Massage Chairs that have been designed to replicate a human massage and are simply a joy to use after a round of golf. Their website is well designed, easy to use and if you are looking for a massage chair then I recommend a visit to their website.
When I am staying with family I often sleep on a sofa bed and I am not a fan of them at all. Once I played a round of golf after sleeping on a particularly bad one and my back seized up terribly after 3 holes! When choosing a sofa make sure you get a really good quality one. It is equally important to have very good kid bedroom furniture as children need very good support for their growing bodies - and if they are going to support Mum and Dad playing on the PGA tour they really need a strong back!Furniture from home have some of the highest quality furniture (including the dreaded sofa beds) I have ever seen. Their website is really well designed and a pleasure to use. Their range is enormous and if you are on the lookout for quality furniture I recommend giving their website a visit!
I thought I would take to posting the world golf rankings every now and then because a few people might be interested like me. I was amazed at just how many Aussies are in the top 50 at the moment. Five-times champion Tiger Woods tightened his grip on a 62nd PGA Tour title, surging eight strokes clear after the Buick Invitational third round. Four ahead overnight, the world No.1 doubled his lead with a flawless six-under-par 66 on the South Course at Torrey Pines. That left him 18-under, well ahead of playing partner and fellow American Stewart Cink, who rolled in a 35-foot eagle putt at the last for a 69. Joe Durant was a further stroke back in third at nine under after a 67. Australia's Aaron Baddeley (71) was in a group of players in a tie for fourth on seven under, 11 shots behind Woods. Woods, bidding for his fourth successful title at Torrey Pines, produced a six-birdie display that could have been even better but for a missed four-foot birdie putt at the second. His 54-hole lead shattered the previous tournament best of five set by Gene Littler in 1954 and equalled by Bob Goalby in 1967 and JC Snead in 1976...Read the complete golf news story
Yep this one takes the cake as the most strange story I have ever heard (not just about golf either). I read it in my local paper and didn't even believe it at first (and still can't really).Golf workers fired over Caddy snackTWO golf club employees in Hawaii have been charged after stealing a patron's dog while he was playing a round, then killing and eating it. Witnesses told Moanalua Golf Club officials they saw Saturnino Palting, 58, and Nelson Domingo, 43, put the German shepherd-labrador dog named Caddy into a car and drive away at the end of their shift on December 16,. The dog's owner, Frank Manuma, said he tied up eight-month-old Caddy while he played a round of golf but the dog was gone when he came back, the Associated Press said. The club fired the workers and investigators later told Mr Manuma they had butchered and ate his pet. Mr Manuma said he and his wife considered the dog like a child they never had. A grand jury indicted Palting and Domingo on theft and a
Tiger Woods, back in action after a five-week break, overcame a second successive day of wayward driving to take control of the Buick Invitational. Two off the pace overnight, the world number one forged four strokes clear with a sparkling seven-under-par 65 in the second round at a sun-drenched Torrey Pines. Woods piled up seven birdies in a bogey-free display on the North Course, the easier of the two par-72 layouts hosting the fourth event on the PGA Tour. That left him at 12-under 132, ahead of American rookie Kevin Streelman who birdied the last for a 69 on the longer South Course to secure second place. Australian Aaron Baddeley was a further two strokes back at six under after a 67 on the North Course. "It was the same thing as yesterday, low left and high right," Woods told reporters of his tee shots after finding only six fairways out of 14. "I've got to get that organised. When I tried to steer it out there today it wasn't very good." Despite his struggles off the tee,
Swede Johan Edfors shot a scintillating six under par 66 to take a two-shot lead going into the third round at the 2.5 million dollar Qatar Masters on Friday. Edfors, who was tied for the second place in a pack of six players on 69 at the end of the first round on Thursday, blazed a birdie trail at the Doha Golf course on a day when the chill caught many by surprise. He hit the best score of the tournament so far, which included seven birdies and a bogey on the fourth. Enjoying a purple patch on the front nine, he picked up successive birdies on the fifth, sixth and seventh holes to set himself up nicely for the rest of the tournament with an aggregate of nine-under-par 135. Trailing Edfors by two shots were South African Charl Schwartzel and England's Lee Westwood on seven-under-par 137, while Sweden's Alexander Noren, South African Anton Haig, Englishmen Ross McGowan and David Howell were in third place a shot behind. Westwood, the joint overnight leader, stroked a 70 in the sec
When you go on a holiday you can't spend all your time golfing can you? I remember my trip to Vegas wasn't just filled with golf :-) I went on tours of the Madame Tussauds Las Vegas Wax Museum, the Grand canyon and even visited the Hoover Dam. I also packing in a fair bit of golf and spending (or rather losing) a few dollars in the many many casinos! On one of my tours I met one of the extras from the movie Troy and had a grand old time asking questions about the making of the movie and what it was like to work on a movie set! If you are interested in taking some Vegas tours there really is heaps to do!Trusted Tours & Attractions are a really top quality travel company that can hook you up to some great sightseeing tours all over the US. American Troy Matteson fired a seven-under 65 to grab a one-shot lead after Thursday's opening round of the 5.2 million dollar PGA Buick Invitational. Tiger Woods, who is making his season-opening appearance, was one of four golfers at five-under 67 and is two shots back. Matteson was one shot ahead of fellow American Brad Adamonis, who shot a 66 on the north course. Matteson played Thursday on Torrey Pines' south course which will be showcased later in June when it plays host to the 2008 US Open. He posted eight birdies and one bogey. "I played the south course earlier this week and didn't break par either day I played it," said Matteson, who hit 11 of 14 fairways. "For the Open it's going to be tough. I know I missed a few fairways." The only other score in the top 12 from the demanding south course was by Woods, the three-time defending champion. Woods was tied with South African Rory Sabbatini, Australian Stuart Appleby and American Kevin Streelman at 67. A half dozen golfer
In the US there are approximately 5.76 million female golfers which make up 22% of the countries golfing population and I would assume that these figures are growing every year. This means that the range and choice of Womens Golf Apparel is increasing and everyone should be able to find something fashionable to wear on the golf course. The website golf sophisticate offers some of the most modern and fashionable Womens Golf Clothes that I have ever seen. To develop a good golf swing, you must hit down on the golf ball. It might sound unnatural to hit down on a ball to send it up in the air, but it is a fact nevertheless. Here’s why.If you are playing baseball and want to hit the ball high up into the crowd, you hit up. It’s quite natural …#34; your bat is travelling upwards when you strike the ball and so the ball travels upwards. Then, if you have it hard enough, it goes on into the crowd for a home run. But not with golf! With golf, your club is lofted, meaning that the club is angled out of straight. The more loft on the club the steeper angle it should theoretically send the ball into air. The geometrically optimum angle for maximum distance is 45 degrees, although other aspects of the ball also affect the distance. These are the spin on the ball, particularly the backspin that forces the ball farther up into the air, and more importantly, the clubhead speed. You might think then, that to make the loft of the golf club work to
There are many causes of slicing a golf ball, but a quick fix for a golf slice should work regardless of the cause. It will, of course, not cure the underlying cause of the slice but will get you through the round without too much lost. There are a number of ways in which you can slice the ball, the two most common being either failing to close your clubface in time or swinging across the ball. If we look at both of these, then it should be clear exactly how these quick fixes can work. First, failing to close the clubface before you strike the ball. What happens here is that at the point of hitting the golf ball, the clubface is still open. That means that it has not quite squared up to the ball, so hits it at a slight angle. The toe of the clubhead is farther back from the ball than the heel for a right handed player, and you therefore put a clockwise spin on the ball. Modern golf balls are dimpled to take as much advantage of spin as possible, and when the ball spins there is more air
It is no secret that I have been thinking about properly hosting this golf blog away from the blogger servers partially because of the slow speeds the site takes to load some days. Since I created the ultimate golf blog I have started several other projects that I have hosted properly and must say that dedicated hosting is really the only way to go. However, there are literally thousands of choices out there and you really need to find a good website to compare all the options such as web hosting choice . I have personally used their website and it is really simple to use. You can search by monthly cost, disk space, setup fee and bandwidth. If you are looking for a web host then I suggest checking out their site.
After a week on holiday I am glad to be back to my blog and without access to the Internet I missed all the big news like the Tiger Woods lynching story gaining more media attention as magazine editor Dave Seanor being fired for using a graphic of a noose on the front page of a popular golfing magazine. This year I have heaps of stuff planned for the blog and I am going to continue to update at least once daily so my regular readers always have something new each day.Oh and if anyone is interested I had a great trip (no golf though)
