Desde ayer podemos observar cambios en Google Reader, las novedades son: Un nuevo Favicon, también aparece un cuadro de dialogo de confirmación, cuando se marcan todos los mensajes como leídos; pero la principal novedad de Google Reader, es que ahora muestra la fecha de publicación de una entrada, y la fecha en que el post fue indexado por Google, en ocasiones la diferencia de fecha entre ambos es simplemente de minutos, pero también podría ser mucho mayor.Google Reader también ha añadido nuevos atajos de teclado, por ejemplo:g+d= Abre el directorio de recomendaciones de feeds nuevos.e= Envía por correo electrónico el contenido actual.a= Abre el dialogo que nos permite añadir nuevas suscripciones.
Después de 4 días sin conectarme a internet me queda una agenda increible. 300 correos (+200 spam)...pero lo peor ...2000 items en el Google Reader....ahggggg..y no me gusta el botón marcar todos como leidos...Pierdes muchas cosas.Pero eso me ha hecho pensar dos cosas:1) No podemos leer todo lo que nos interesa. Yesterday, Google released a new version of their popular RSS feed reader intended for use on the Apple iPhone. Google created the new version of the reader as an exercise in using the Google Web Toolkit to create feature-rich applications for the iPhone. The Google Web Toolkit, or GWT, is a development toolkit which allows users to avoid the many pitfalls and frustrations of Javascript browser compliance when authoring AJAX web applications by letting programmers author these applications in Java.Technically, the new web application isn't Google Reader. It's a more bare bones RSS reader and as such is formally called the GWT Feed Reader. That said, at the end of the day, it's a feed aggregator and reader that Google offers. I always had to go down my bookmarks to check sites daily, until I found out about Google Reader. With an RSS feed, you can pretty much read hundreds of websites in one place. I think this totally saves time and you always know when a site updates.
1. How easy is adding a site when you have the RSS link? All you have to do is click on “Add subscription” and copy the link and its in.
2. The new Offline feature is cool when you’re on the train or on a flight where internet access is a no show. Google Reader will download the most recent posts to your computer and when you read in Offline mode, you’ll see your beloved RSS feeds.
3. Ease of organization. You can categorize your feeds by topic, that way when you’re in a technology mood you can view technology related posts only. You’ll always know when there are new posts when a number and the category is bolded.
4. “Goodies” like reading Google Reader on your mobile phone, browser
