Why does God allow injustice to occur?I don’t think these questions have to have answers. Practically speaking, I think that out of everything that occurs there is a fairly even balance between suffering and happiness, and I’m inclined to think that it has a lot more to do with the probability of something good happening as opposed to something bad happening, rather than some divine interference creating evil in a good world, or vice versa. I think the effect that suffering has on people is probably just incidental. Perhaps suffering doesn’t have to happen, it just does. Well I did it I purchased the Slim In Six Program from an infomercial it claims to get you in shape in 6 weeks. I purchased a few weeks ago. I wanted to start it today on December 25th, 2007. I am a lowly post-doctoral researcher, with not much academic activity (or rather, activity, period!) outside of the lab for lack of time. But I do have a passion for science and scientific thought, and value science education tremendously.I don't know if my story would sound familiar. Not too long ago, I was a believer. Perhaps you may have guessed from my name - I am an Indian, born to and raised by parents who practise the Hindu religion. But to them, the Hindu religion (I avoid the term 'Hinduism') was not at all about the kind of teeth-gnashing, attention-clamoring, mosque-destroying, intemperate, uncivil, hooliganism that has become the face of Hindu-ism in modern India. To them, it was a philosophy; a unifying theme of 'One God - many manifestations' - that easily included the God-heads of other religions of the world; a kind, understanding, all-embracing way of life,

I forget that I am in recovery from an eating disorder.I forget a lot.I come back here to write and I find myself wandering off...to play guitar, to read a book, to paint, to write poetry, to explore different yoga practices, research different careers that I'm curious about, to answer the phone, to clean the house, to have a four hour marathon conversation with my best friend, to go to a concert, to take a long walk with my camera, to explore new streets, to spend time with my husband sharing our vision for our family (should we be blessed to have our own little miracle some day), to go to the beach...I was musing last night about the journey of recovery.My journey...To recover my inner voice, authentic drive, spirit, health, hope, feelings (the full spectrum), self-confidence and to transform my passion that was so negatively driven by external "markings" of achievement into a desire to truly live and experience life in the moment.For me, living in the moment was something I never q
