The entity to be formed by the merger of Deccan Aviation Ltd with Kingfisher Airlines plans to raise $300 million through sale of shares in two months, a senior official said on Wednesday. The merger is expected to be completed by April. "We are in talks to appoint a merchant banker for the share sale by the end of the month," Anand Ramachandran, vice-president finance of Deccan Aviation, said at a conference. Deccan Aviation has already filed an initial application with the regulator to fly on international routes, Ramachandran said. It would be eligible to fly on international routes in August when it completes five years of operations. - Economic Times
