Recently I wrote an article on the genre of the Gospels, and determined that the biographical genre of the Gospels is in serious doubt. The Gospels can not longer be considered a history of the life of Jesus. In this article I also brought up the position that modern scholars attempting to find the historical Jesus in the Gospel narratives are in fact fracturing the Gospels into specific sections and verses, while also using personal bias to determine which verse is ‘historical’ and which is not. Although I put forth the probable position that the Gospels are meant to be read as literary fiction, I purposefully left several questions unanswered; who wrote them and why were they written?

I watched I am Legend starring Will Smith last month, and I was watching it again for the nth time with my eldest daughter Keisha. She particularly likes the part wherein Will Smith's dog turned into a monster after being bitten.After watching it several times already, I was beginning to feel I could say the character's lines as the movie played, like what Will Smith did with Shrek. The movie is great, don't get me wrong. But I'm honestly kinda fed up with America saving mankind and stuff.Will Smith is such a good actor, and I have yet to see a movie of his that is not so good. All of his movies are absolutely great and showcases his talent for acting.

I Am LegendThis is what an event movie should be. As a native New Yorker, my head was blown to bits when I saw how director Francis Lawrence depicts my hometown. The film mesmerizes you visually, engages your mind with questions of your own survival skills and rips at your heart thanks to a brilliant performance from Will Smith. Not only one of my favorites of 2007, but it's films like this that made me fall in love with movies in the first place.

I love Will Smith. I mean that in a very non-homosexual way. Yes, he is a beautiful man in terrific shape, but that's not why I love this man. I love this man because he is one of the best actors that exists today. Something has to be said about Smith's acting abilities, because to ignore his versatility would be an insult to the craft. We all just play guitar, but Jason Becker was (is still) musically gifted.
Even at 18-years-old the man was as good as any of the top neo-classical and metal guitarists today. Put it this way. He would have given Steve Vai a run for his money skill wise.
At 19 (1989), Jason Becker started breaking into the mainstream spotlight by going on tour with the David Lee Roth Band. In that same year, Becker came down with Lou Gehrig's Disease, which degenerated his body to the point where he could only move his eyes.
Today Jason Becker copes with his illness by visiting a spiritual guru. He has learned to communicate words with his eyes alone. Believe it or not, he still composes music.
If you saw what kind of shape he's in today, you'd think it's amazing the guitarist didn't give up on life already. But Becker still has his family, his mind, his friends, and fans.
Although Becker will never again be able to play guitar, we'll always remember him and more guitarist
