The absolute coolest thing I saw in the soccer blogosphere this week was at Pitchinvasion.net. The geniuses who run that site got one of (if not the) best bloggers on Argentine soccer, Hasta el Gol Siempre (whom I have also interviewed on this site) to collaborate with Bill's Sports Maps on a primer on Argentinian football. The result speaks for itself and I'm being dead serious when I say no words--least of all mine--can do it justice. Check it out.Another week another massive scoop by Ives, this time getting us the exclusive on the New York Red Bulls signing Oscar Echeverry. It looks like the Colombian striker will essentially provide depth up front and act as a potential insurance policy if and when Jozy Altidore leaves the club (which will hopefully not be for a crappy team like Reading). Red Bulls Head Coach Juan Carlos Osorio told Ives as much. This is all well and good, and it's high time the Red Bulls made some acquisitions this off season, but I thought Osorio's primary concer

09-04-2007 (37 posts)First post of this forum :"I'm assuming that most have read about the flattening of Life Insurance Sales (including other lines such as DI) in the last decade or so. Basically, I'm wondering why? Term is getting cheaper all the time, the term length is longer and longer, in another thread someone brought up the 40 year term to go along with the 40 year mortgage. Yet while the discussion didn't go into their even being a 40 year term product, it is still an interesting discussion all do itself!I'm yet wondering why the flattening of sales? Is due to the Insurance Carriers themselves? We all know they seem to have change marketing attempts, more and more these carriers seem to be moving to a BGA or whatever, moving the sale force outside of the company. Or does the problem lie in the Agents themselves along with the product? Or could it be the general public does not see value in it?"see this forum at : http://www.insurance-forums.net/forum/americans-underinsured-why

I have been to Malaga airport many times as we own an apartment down near Marbella, but I cant for the life of me work out the answer to my question!!Bascially its about car hire. I want to hire a car for me and my g/f for our stay. I will do this the usual way of collecting from downstairs at the airport, and we will get a small car. However, she will then return to the UK after about 2.5 weeks, and then some friends will be joining me. Unfortunately, my friends are rather big chaps, so I will need a bigger car. My question is, if I was to return my first hire car the usual way and then say good bye to my girlfriend, how will I get to the car hire bit downstairs again to get my new car, as I wont have come through the arrivals lounge. I dont fancy the idea of sneaking past the sliding doors where the taxi people wait incase I look a little dodgy! Is there another way of getting there

But in trying to book a car with Europcar via the Easyjet website, it seems to say that pickup and dropoffs are in Algeciras? Am I reading this wrong? In reading the posts in the forums, it seems everyone recommends picking up the car off airport, but I will have my young daughter and mother in law with us, so I don't know how far we'll want to walk. Europcar seems to be the easiest and cheapest, but only if there's transportation to the airport and back. Does anyone know what the best (and least expensive) option is? We also have a home equity loan (fixed) which has $40,000 at 7 1/4% fixed. We have about 4 yrs left on this loan. We need to do home repairs to prepare to sell the house. The repairs will cost approx $50-60,000 (guessing). My husband is in his 70's and still works. He retired from his full-time job after 30 yrs and started his own business. Our income has been cut in half. We need to sell the house we've lived in for almost 40 yrs. Would it be better to take out a new First Mortgage and pay off the other two and have one payment? We don't want to use his savings to pay for the repairs...or should we and just keep paying the mortgages. We were thinking it might be better to combine all the money into one First mortgage. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Jane"see this forum at : http://ths.gardenwe

  • I'm Not a Link Whore!
While I've been busy on my promotional campaign for this blog I've noticed a few things about linking and the results I get back from the link popularity checkers. Right now I have about 172 links showing from yahoo site explorer http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/default.htm, about 180 from alltheweb, and about the same for alt vista. yet from Google I've got none! This is the info I got from using Marketleaps backlink checker. However, I then used a different checker and got some different results. Here at: Backlink Checker, I am showing only 6 back links but these are found on googles servers. So why the discrepancy between google's results and yahoo and gang? Google deliberately shows minimal information regarding backlinks so you can't copy someone else's success. But just to make sure, I submitted the url's with my links on them to google. Now, just to maintain a little balance I am trying to make sure that I don't go hog wild on just chasing pagerank. I also want to rank well

One of this week's most blogged-about items was the English Premier League's plan to play regular season games overseas. Not surprisingly, most bloggers hated the idea: All Quiet in the East Stand titled its rant "The Day Football Started To Kill Itself." Football Corner wrote Premier League games abroad is not the answer" (they didn't say what the question was, but I get it; they hate the plan. Fair enough). It wasn't just English bloggers who came out vocally opposed, either. Jakarta Casual out of the Indonesian capital city, is calling the EPL the English Prostitute League. Oh You Beauty, an American Liverpool fan, also blasted the concept, arguing that it would require too many games and dilute the fact that it's the English Premier League. I think he's a bit confused because the only thing English about the EPL (besides its name) is the fact that its teams play in English cities. I suppose a few of the players are English too, though not at Arsenal. If I'm not mistaken, there are a

  • Link to a forum : Sharing some tips
06-05-2007(66 posts)First commetn from this forum :"Hey guys..... After reading the financial success thread, I thought it might be a nice idea if people who have been around domains for a bit took a minute or two or three to share one or more tips.I'll get the ball rolling and hopefully others will chime in Try and not be a jack of all trades when it comes to domains unless you have incredibly deep pockets to begin with. Try focusing instead on a few areas. Ones you can learn about inside and out. This makes it easier to get SOME kind of momentum going, to maximize sales opportunities, to maximize monetization possibilities, to be able to spot good deals on the acquisition side, to be able to purchase domains at a fair price that you can make an immediate profit on because you know how to best monetize or you have the benefit of volume."see this forum at : http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/335728-sharing-some-tips.html
