Gagan: It’s true! DS Lite will soon be available in a brand new color scheme for 2008. Nintendo has announced that come February 10th DS Lite would be available in Cobalt Blue/Black garb in American stores. Nintendo is doing all it can to extend the sales of its handheld, which was the best-selling video game system in the United States last year. It sold over 8.5 million copies last year alone and overall, it has sold more than 17.6 million since November 2004. People are going crazy over Lite’s touch-screen, voice interaction and similar other innovative features. The new Cobalt/Black version is the seventh color in DS Lite’s wardrobe. Already Polar White, Coral Pink, Onyx, Crimson/Black and the limited-edition Gold and Metallic Rose versions are available for this baby. Nintendo hasn’t released any pricing details as yet. Sometimes you find the strangest things in the thrift store. My friend found 25 of these odd knobs in the thrift store. They were painted dull, dark colors of green, white and gold. She thought they would be nice all re-painted and installed onto her daughter's dressers and nightstand. I wish I had "before" pictures, but I forgot..........I won the job of painting all 25 of them with bright colors of yellow, green and pink. I felt that since they would get tons of use that at least seven coats of high gloss polyurethane would be necessary. All the coats made them look like glass when completed.Let's face it: where in the world have you ever seen anything like this? These are funky, interesting, creative and definitely unique. This little chair was purchased at the Goodwill for $3.00. As you can see, the seat is in perfect condition. The rest of the chair was painted white and had a few scratches. This particular chair was purchased for a desk in a teenagers room with accents of animal prints.Once again I decided to use Mod Podge to give my chair a new and unique look.
