Estimates have revealed that the number of males in the U.S. who will experience Prostatitis during their lifetime has gone up to 50 pct, indicating that the infection has become one of the most common urologic diseases in the country. According to many urologic disease experts, around 5 to 10 pct American males are experiencing prostatitis at a particular time. Prostatitis is a prostate gland infection causing intense pain, urinary complications, sexual dysfunction, infertility, and a significant reduction in the quality of life. This infection is difficult to diagnose and has many unbearable side-effects. It also affects the lives of young and middle-aged men, unlike prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Prostatitis has been divided into a number of categories, but common variations of the disease include nonbacterial, acute, and chronic. Of these the most common type of prostatitis is nonbacterial prostatitis. Dr. Leroy Nyberg, Jr., dir
Women are slowing the pace of men’s growth on the social ladder in Britain, according to a new study. The study, conducted by Oxford University researchers, revealed that ascendant social moving has come to a halt despite government’s assistance to tackle class inequality and offer opportunity for all, and reveals that the reasons for the reversal was greater competition from women, and a slower rate of growth for top jobs. The authorities’ aim to promote ‘equality of opportunity’ failed to mention that any increase in social mobility was likely to create as many losers as winners, with men losing out to the increasing number of women pursuing careers. Co-authors John Goldthorpe and Michelle Jackson studied a social class of 8,000 men and 3,000 women born in 1958 and 1970. The researchers said that the prospects for men were "not as good as they once were". At the end of the study, three quarters of total
British male TV viewers have named reality show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as their greatest guilty pleasure, according to a survey. The survey, conducted for the Radio Times, which asked around 800 of its readers to nominate their own guilty pleasure for the poll, found that men did not admit that they watched the ballroom dancing show to their friends, for the fear of being ridiculed. And the reason for gluing to the TV while the show was on was the "smallness of the costumes... the drama, the humour and the frocks". Second on the list of male TV viewers' guilty pleasures of 2007 was the sci-fi hit, ‘Heroes’, followed by ‘Doctor Who’. ‘I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!’ was fourth, followed by the ‘X Factor’. Male viewers also said that they were more reluctant to admit watching ‘Top Gear’ than they were for ‘Big Brother’. Costume drama ‘Cran
My fate one dayApart from impotence, I think the other thing that most males dread is the upward creep of their hairline as they get older. Some men lose it later, others much earlier. There are various reasons we lose our hair including medical conditions as well as bad diet and stress. However, the main reason appears to be androgenetic, also known as male-pattern baldness, caused by hormones called androgens and genetics.I would be lying if I said that I wasn't concerned as well. It's in my blood. A guest who was invited to one of our family reunions remarked that most of the men in our family - from grandfather, to uncles and sons, looked similar. I pointed out that it probably might be their shiny heads. Some had even shaved it to a fashionable bald look. Even though I still have a thick tuft of hair in place, I know it will be gone one day or the other.Anyway, it's kind of comforting as I look around my classroom to find out that I am actually doing quite well in that area as com
Joystiq are reporting that the story I posted yesterday - about Shanda banning males from playing female characters in one of their MMO's - may be nothing more than a rumor. They point out that the story has originated from one questionable source (17173, where they couldn't actually find the original article) and no official confirmation has been released by Shanda.Joystiq also states that they find it hard to believe a publicly traded company would violate people's privacy by making them send in a picture of themselves. In the western world I'd be inclined to agree but if we're talking about China here then it doesn't seem surprising for a country where many freedoms are suppressed. If the intent was to protect females then making them take a picture of themselves isn't doing much to promote that initiative.Combine the questionable editorial judgment with the translation problems inherent in citing information from a Chinese site and you have a perfect recipe for an erroneous story t
Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) subsidiary Aurora Technology has frozen game accounts of male players who chose to play female in-game characters in its in-house developed MMORPG King of the World, reports 17173. Aurora stipulates that only female gamers can play female characters in the game, and it requires gamers who chose female characters to prove their biological sex with a webcam, according to the report. - Pacific Epoch. What? Talk about discrimination!Since there's no word on females being banned from playing male characters then this ban is extremely one-sided. Not only is it discriminatory against males but it also limits males in choosing their very own alter ego - something that I thought was a big attraction in the MMO world. Also, with the massive amount of MMO's on the market today (not forgetting one that's taken over most of the known world) isn't Shanda effectively laying a death sentence on one of their games? However, Shanda does have a pretty legitimate case for employing su
The development of gynecomastia or feminization of the breast tissue in males is possible with anabolic steroids. This is due to an excess of estrogen being present in the body, through a process known as "aromatization" whereby androgens like testosterone are converted to estrogen. This excess estrogen then finds its way to the receptors in breast tissue and binds to them. This results in the possibility of female-like breast tissue, which must sometimes be removed by surgery. Most athletes experience itchiness of the nipples, followed by pain. Since this develops over several days, usually, the athlete usually has more than enough time to discontinue the use of the compounds he´s taking, or to attempt to counteract the breast tissue development while remaining on the cycle. The two most common ways this is achieved by steroid users is either to use an anti-estrogen like Nolvadex or Arimidex in their cycle or to take Letrozole (*a very strong Aromatase Inhibitor and antiestrogenic co
Introduction
Most of the men thought that breast cancer only affects women and not men. They accept it as a truth that they are not at the risk of getting breast cancer. But this is not true; men are also at the risk of developing breast cancer. The main symptoms and signs of male breast cancer are given below.
Signs and symptoms

Start wearing boxers! Wearing tight fitting underwear increases the heat around the testes. That can lower the sperm count, which consequently decreases your chances to make a boy. Wearing loose fitting underwear helps keep the testes cooler. Have a cup of coffee! Right before sex, drink a caffeinated beverage. This makes the Y-sperm more active. Keep your cool! If father is under constant stress it may be more difficult for him to make a boy. Make your woman come! Orgasms during sex are always a good thing, but if you're trying to conceive a boy you should also know that woman's orgasm is useful in more ways than one. After orgasm, woman's body produces substances that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, and thus more welcomed for the y-sperm (boy). The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm into the cervix. That in turn gives the y-sperm (boy) an extra chance at being available when the egg is ready for fertilization.
