This is slightly off topic, but is good food for thought as it highlights why plastic surgery should not be viewed as a means to an end by people. Yesterday’s edition of the Houston Chronicle narrated an inspiring story about the thirty nine year old Jennylin Duany, a large-bodied woman who is an experimental theatre actor. If you check out the link you will see that Jennylin is no ‘perfect-sized’ woman. In fact, she is completely different from the regular Hollywood actors. What caught my attention was the statement she made, "So much gets held in the body; my piece is about letting go of our body trappings. We spend so much time chasing ideals that we forget who we are." Rather powerful when we look at Jennylin’s showbiz compatriots who seem to be in a race against time. But why stop at celebrities? Take a look at the higher income middle class individuals who are financially secure to stop and stare at the mirror in dread and make up their minds to visit the shrink, plast
I just learned about the coolest thing ever. If you go to this site you can sign up for a free 5 person video conference with some of the top authors and bloggers in social media marketing such as Joseph Jaffe author of Life After the 30 Second Spot, David Meerman Scott author of The New Rules of Marketing, CC Chapman of Managing the Gray, iJustine, and several more great marketers. I am so psyched to be able to talk with these great thinkers, that I'm going to buy a videocam today. Hurry, it is first come first serve and the spaces are sure to fill up fast.
According to them, it's illegal to transfer your CD's to your computer. What all this comes down to is, the record companies have diluted the music world and less people want to buy their junk. There is so many crappy bands/singers now and they all sound the same. Even some of my favorite bands are rushing to get music out and that is even crap. There may be one or two songs on an entire album that I want to hear. I use iTunes (I know, but there isn't a better alternative with a large selection) and rarely download an entire album. There's no way I will spend $15 or so dollars on a CD for at most, two songs. I can buy and download the songs I want for 99 cents or an album for $9.90. I'm waiting for the RIAA to come up with self-destructing CD's that explode after 10 plays. On with the article. Now, in an unusual case in which an Arizona recipient of an RIAA letter has fought back in court rather than write a check to avoid hefty legal fees, the industry is taking its argument agai

In years to come, this will be seen as the twenty first century's own Frost-Nixon. Yes, Victoria Newton has flown to Los Angeles to meet Victoria Beckham. The extra carbon burned through was worth it, as this sort of fawning simply can't be done over the telephone:Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Victoria, 33, said: “We’ve loved every minute so far. I can’t see us going back.”She opened her heart on life away from Britain and Spain as Becks prepared for new team LA Galaxy’s game against Chelsea today — although his own debut was in doubt due to an injury. She also told how she and David got so steamed up during a recent raunchy photo shoot they had to take a break and slip away for a ROMP.Victoria said David, 33, was not bothered about swapping Real Madrid for Galaxy, a team branded no better than a pub side. And sons BROOKLYN, eight, ROMEO, four, and CRUZ, two, are thrilled with their new home.Does Victoria N point out to Victoria B that she did a very similar round of i
From Yahoo News:NEW YORK - Ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes will attempt to break the world record by running more than 153.76 miles in 24 hours on a treadmill in Times Square. This is what happens when runners lose their minds from overdosing on endorphins.Seriously, though, it's for a worthy cause. Karnazes is raising money for Athletes for a Cure Foundation, an organization devoted to funding prostate cancer research.Yahoo also indicted that Karnazes' "next goal is to run 4,200 miles across North America in the spring."I wish Mr. Karnazes the best of luck. I also recommend that he search this site for a reputable psychologist.
Sorry for the gap in posts, Ladies and gents. I ended up in the hospital on Thursday night/Friday morning with a severe infection, and still haven’t quite gotten back into the swing of things (and they told me to rest, so I was resting)
I’ll do my best to get back to things here in a day or so. for now I think I’m just going to listen to the doctors.
Interesting article, can't say that I necessarily agree on all their points, but I must applaud their tone."A global and social transformation is taking place being manifested through the media, television, corporations, government agencies, the United Nations, and the educational system. The agents of change and the social engineers wish to purge our children's beliefs, value systems, their independence and individuality; their aim being to replace them with more global beliefs, universal values, and interdependence thus molding their fragile little minds, shifting them into group think. All the while with the state trying to undermine parental authority and influence, playing a greater role in a child's life and contributing to the further breakup of the family. There is a battle on for our children's hearts and minds. With the educational system assuming direct control and responsibility for the development of children's attitudes and values, and through mental health screening,
