  • Turkish Diplomat Reveals Secret Iraq War Negotiations
A veteran Turkish diplomat who led his nation’s delegation in discussing possible entry into the Iraq war on the side of the United States believes failure to do so prevented dealing with Kurdish rebels. • Gaza Turmoil Threatens Peace Negotiations
Within a week after the departure of President Bush from the Middle East, there has been a surge in operations by the Israel Defense Force in Gaza including closure of crossings through which much needed supplies were being trucked by the United Nations UNRWA operation. President Abbas strongly criticized the Israel closure and his emotions [...]
  • How Pat Riley Damaged Varejao’s Cavs Contract Negotiations
OK — first, let me say this is a totally unsubstantiated conspiracy theory and that it has very little basis in fact. But considering how smart Riley is, and his predisposition to Machiavellian behavior, it seems likely that he would interfere in a conference rival’s free-agent negotiations if he thought it would help his team. Here’s how [...]
  • NO TO NEGOTIATIONS
I have always had the belief that talking is good to solve problems. This philosophy is good for personal issues, business and world politics does not matter. There are some instances that it is unwise to talk or negotiate. Is it wise to solve business issues if the other company is planning a hostile take over from another company? Is it wise for a business to negotiate with a company when another party is dictating or putting pressure on you to accept in total the terms of the agreement of the other company? Is it a wise business decision to negotiate with a company that do not honor business contracts. Would a business negotiate with a another company that sends people to attack your house every day. This is the situation with the peace talks being planned between Israel and the Palestinians. The Pales havbe not honored any previous agreement that was negotiated with Israel. They continue to say that Israel make concessions and the Palestinians are not prepared to make any.
  • Strike Negotiations Enter Day 4
As talks between the WGA and AMPTP drag on into a fourth day, disheartening–but not-altogether surprising–rumors of feet-dragging on the part of studios and networks abound. Fortunately, during this media black-out we’ve still got YouTube to keep us occupied. In addition to United Hollywood’s YouTube collection, there’s the impressive series of “Speechless” PSAs conceived by director/writer [...]
  • Syria Asks For Negotiations Over Golan Heights
The Syrian press urged Israel to enter into negotiations with its government in order to revolve the Golan Heights issue. Teshreen commented: “It is now vital to act seriously to put peace talks back on track. The alternative to this are dangerous to the region and the entire world.” The Syrians claimed they attended [...]
  • AMPTP and WGA to Resume Negotiations
Last night the AMPTP and WGA issued a joint statement announcing that “Leaders from the WGA and the AMPTP have mutually agreed to resume formal negotiations on November 26.” Further information is not forthcoming, as both sides have agreed to a news blackout. However, shortly after the announcement, WGA president Patric Verrone emailed members, calling the [...]

During his recent visit to Tehran, President Vladmir Putin attempted an end run around Ahmadinejad by speaking directly with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
