I don't know if you noticed, but it seems that Google's Page Rank is not working. I say this because last night I was checking my blog's PR ( which I know for sure it's 3 ) and saw that it showed zero. First, I thought that I've done something wrong, and Google slapped my blog, downgrading it to PR zero. But after thinking about this for 5 minutes, I couldn't find anything that would upset Google to change my blog's PR. Next, I thought that I've typed the URL of my blog wrong. Yes friends google really gave me a kiss. My blog's page rank has jumped to 4 from zero in just 3 months. I am really happy.How did i do this?What are your thinking? I bought links?Or some other secret methods? No0p.I also can't say surely how it happened but i found few causes which have done my job.Firstly i have submitted my blog in lot of blog directories.Most of them have page rank 3 to 7. So i am getting backlinks from them. Some of them also publish rss. So then i also get a lot of backlinks for recent posts.Accordinig to google webmaster tools i have got total 346 back links.Secondly i have updated my blog everyday and wrote lot of posts.I have tried to write good content. Specially talking about september, when posted 50 articles. I also linked those with other posts. Don't spam in your blog. All the "Big Dogs" bloggers were affected by the Page Rank drop, which took place few days ago. John Chow is only one of the well known bloggers that was a bit affected by the Page Rank drop of his blog. I say a bit, because the only numbers that were modified, were those of the PR itself: JohnChow.com went from PR 6 to PR 4..as far as I can remember. Go figure, I post an update about my Whypark site, and Google decides to update page ranks today as well. The Whypark test site I'm using made PR3, and comparison my blog only hit PR2. I personally don't care either way, but many ad networks only work with sites with a minimum page rank value still so have a parked domain with page rank just means more revenue options.In my previous post I also mentioned that I was only getting about 1 visitor a month to the Whypark site. This just goes to show you that page rank value has no value or connection to actual website traffic.
A lot of controversies are being written about Page Rank and the websites that has been slapped very hard. Yesterday I wrote about WidgetBucks being Pimp Slapped, and that is not an ordinary slap. There is a lot of commotion with angered bloggers and webmasters out there about the raid on websites and pageranks. But what is all the commotion all about when page ranks do not even matter.
