Pennies

  • Pinching Pennies
I have been putting lots of effort into paying off our bills. Every day I am faced with a choice to spend money or save it to use towards bills. It is not always an easy choice. Somedays that meal out, or that shirt, or those new rugs are way more tempting than saving the money to pay more on a bill we have. And sometimes things that I can't control, like needing to buy 840.00 worth of propane

  • Pennies add up with wasteful meetings
Stuck sitting in wasteful meetings multiple times a week or even every day?  I think we all are sick of sitting through pointless meetings.  In fact, the worst is to have meetings about meetings.  Yes, my team used to have two meetings a week with our project manager just to discuss what we were going to [...]
  • Buying Radio Advertising for Pennies on the Dollar
Recently, I came across eBay Media Marketplace - Radio, a site that allows you to buy local or national radio advertisement slots at a great discount. How it works is that you select the region, demographics and type of radio show you want to advertise on, put up a bid and the radio shows will [...]
  • Adbux, You mean pennies are actually worth something?
Today I have decided to share my opinion with you on Adbux, a website in a category that I haven't discussed yet, called paid to click.Paid to what? Paid to click, or PTC websites as they are called, offer a user a minuscule amount of money to click on a paid link to an advertiser's website, stay on that site for a certain amount of time, without opening up multiple links at a time. Thus, paid to click. What about Adbux? Adbux is very similar to the basic model of PTC sites, but there are several things I like about it:1) Clean website design, easy to navigate.2) Low Payout: $10 by Paypal.3) Decent pay: $0.01 per click.4) 100% referral earnings! Everytime your referral clicks a link, you and they each get $0.01 .Not too shabby I'd say. It appears that Adbux is pretty legitimate, as the news section is full of the sitemaster complaining about how much he has to pay people. Quiet dipshit, you're making a killing. He claims that one member is making over $70 per day. Wow, I'd like t

  • Podcast: Is Groundhog Day un-American, a golf tip from Caddyshack and improve ball striking for a couple of pennies
Click here to listen.Barry's constant lecturing during driving range practice prompts this week's discussion on solid ball contact. He's right because hearing the "click" each time you strike the ball is the surest way of achieving proper distance control. With the help of Golf Magazine we relate a great golf tip that should have you hitting your irons center-cut so when spring arrives, you're ball flight will be consistent and true. Also, while cleaning out our golf bags, Barry and I chat about one way of acquiring proper aim while putting. Our wedding anniversary falls yearly on Groundhog Day (it's our fifteenth). Kind of funny that the decision-maker as to whether spring is near is a relative of the rodent family. This year Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring...only four more weeks of winter. Nope, he didn't see his shadow.Being a native of the Bronx, how would I ever know the difference between the two critters? I looked it up and found that not only are groundhogs larg
