I'm not a huge fan of the NBA and I don't particularly care for NBA All-Star weekend. I do however, frequently tune in for the dunk contest. The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, an event originally known as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Amateur, or just the Crosby Clambake, is a PGA Tour golf tournament that is held every year at Pebble Beach, California, in the United States. The tournament is typically held during the month of February on three different courses, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Poppy Hills Golf Course and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.How it worksThe starting field consists of 180 professionals and 180 amateurs. One professional is paired with one amateur. Each day, 60 2-man teams will play on one of the three courses. At the BBC Doctor Who site, you can watch a preview of Doctor Who series 4, and i cant see Captain Jack in the clip. The new series looks awesome, especially with Catherine Tate as the new sidekick. You can also see a quick view of Martha Jones, and a few new monsters. No official word on when the new series will be on, only spring 2008, i guess we will just have to wait a little longer.
If you check out this months Official Doctor Who Magazine, you can a preview of whats coming up in series 4. Doctor Who Series 4 will be shown BBC One this spring, and im sure the BBC is making sure this could be the best one yet. Their were a few rumours that Russel T Davies was going to make this his last Sseries of Doctor Who, but apparently this was osme really bad website looking for publicity. Also in John Barrowman's Autobiography he talks about how his schedule in 2007/08 has bee taen up through his work on Doctor Who, so it looks like Jacks Back for series 4.

When I look at their game against Dallas I find it necessary to mention the fact that they only ran 44 offensive plays in a game. That is ridiculously low. Their longest drive was eight plays long and ended in a punt. Their time of possession was 23:30. The Cowboys actually outgained them by over 100 yards. The G-Men were efficient on offense and scored touchdowns instead of field goals, with no turnovers. But they won with defense, especially that nasty pass rush that had Romo so rattled in the fourth quarter. This is, of course, pretty nearly the ultimate in slash fiction wish fulfillment - although possibly without the fighting. I do know of one regular slash reader who's a little disappointed with it, though; she says there's no speculation left in it when it's so direct.
We also know that Martha Jones, played by Freema Agyeman, is going to make an appearance in Torchwood during this season. Martha was last seen leaving the Doctor at the end of series three of Doctor Who. There are various other rumours floating around as to who else is going to appear in the series, but few enough are confirmed.

Matt Hasselback will try to live down the whole, "we want the ball, we're gunna score" thing while trying to get over the .500 mark (sitting 4-4 for his playoff career). I will obviously be rooting for the Packers and, I will admit that I would rather have had them play the Redskins than the Seahawks. However, I'm pretty confident that Favre gets another big win in his playoff career. As long as the Packers can protect Favre from the likes of Kerney, Peterson, and Tatupu they should be victorious. I just think that the Seahawks aren't quite good enough. Shaun Alexander has not been impressive at all and I don't really see him being able to run the ball against the Packers' front 7. Side note: The Seahawks had the easiest schedule in football: their opponents had an adjusted combined record of 100-140. NFCNY Giants at TB BucaneersWell the Buccaneers come in having lost 3 of their last 4 games while the G-men were able to avoid their typical folding image by winning 3 of their last 5 games (two losses to the Redskins and the Patriots) to make the playoffs. I'm very leary about picking a team led by Eli Manning on the road, especially in the playoffs. However, Eli played out of his mind against the Patriots last weekend, tossing four touchdowns and almost leading an upset of the greatest (regular season) team of all time. I just feel like with Eli, Jacobs, and Burress the Giants should be able to ride their current momentum to squeak out a rare road win in Tampa. The Carling Cup saw us hurtle depressingly toward another Chelsea vs Arsenal B-team final. Chelsea saw off a Liverpool team that was neither second string nor entirely first team. As a result the Scousers lost easily and also had Peter Crouch sent off, which means he’s suspended for three Prem games, a potentially big loss for a struggling team.Arsenal B edged Blackburn Rovers in a 3-2 thriller. Credit to the kids, but all that result does is support last week’s column about the chasm between the top four and the rest. Imagine if the Patriots’ or Colts’ second string beat the Jacksonville Jaguars starters and you get the idea of what’s going on in England. If Blackburn, as one of the best-of-the-rest teams, can’t beat a collection of Arsenal squad players, what hope is there?
