Racing Grand Prix officials have warned that if Spain does not take steps to stop racist attacks on British track ace Lewis Hamilton, it could lose the chance of a hosting a Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya in May. They also said that a similar fate awaited the town of Valencia, which is due to host the European Grand Prix for the first time in August this year. According to The Sun, racing whizkid Hamilton faced boos and racist chants from fans of Spaniard and former McLaren team mate Fernando Alonso on Saturday in the racing pit. A motor racing website displayed disgraceful photographs of so-called F1 supporters wearing black make-up and dark wigs at the track yesterday. Up to seven racists were shown wearing white T-shirts with “Hamilton’s Familly” misspelled on the front and “Alonso No1” on the back. They appeared to be screaming and yelling during the test session. A spokesman for Formula One’s governing body, the FIA, said: “The F
BCCI president Sharad Pawar has categorically said that there was no way Harbhajan Singh could have made racist remarks against the Australian player, and added that the board will extend its full support to the off spinner. He said India had a history of fighting racism and it was unbelievable that any Indian player representing the country in any sport in any part of the globe would make racist comments. Pawar said the BCCI would put up the best legal team, helped by Arun Jaitely, Sashank Manohar and Srinivasan to represent Harbhajan during his appeal against the ban before the ICC. He said he was happy that ICC conducted a review of the umpiring performance in the ongoing series in Australia and decided to replace one of the umpires. Pawar said no Board was entitled to demand a change in the umpires, but the BCCI had expressed dissatisfaction with the umpiring in the ongoing India-Australia series and asked for a review. Pawar said it was necess
Over at TNR James Kirchick tracked down some of Ron Paul's old newsletters and discovered that the allegations of their racist content were in fact true. From TNR:Finding the pre-1999 newsletters was no easy task, but I was able to track many of them down at the libraries of the University of Kansas and the Wisconsin Historical Society. Of course, with few bylines, it is difficult to know whether any particular article was written by Paul himself. Some of the earlier newsletters are signed by him, though the vast majority of the editions I saw contain no bylines at all. Complicating matters, many of the unbylined newsletters were written in the first person, implying that Paul was the author. But, whoever actually wrote them, the newsletters I saw all had one thing in common: They were published under a banner containing Paul's name, and the articles (except for one special edition of a newsletter that contained the byline of another writer) seem designed to create the impression that th
Koch (a true bigot) and Merkel (a shameless opportunist)
The governor of the German state of Hesse, Roland Koch, stirred up a hornet’s nest last week by harshly criticizing the country’s immigrant community and young immigrants in particular. Koch, who is a member of the conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU), said that immigrants should follow the [...]
The British Home Office’s Border and Immigration Agency(BIA) recently commissioned a report on its treatment policies. The report offers devastating evidence of widespread intolerance and discrimination against people who are detained. A female office at Colnbook, taunted detainees by saying, “Animals, lock up time,’ as well as describing them as “black bastards.” The team conducting [...]
Australian fans reportedly racially taunted Indian supporters at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the second day of the first Test between India and Australia. Despite Cricket Australia's zero-tolerance policy, police and security staff did not eject any of the fans accused of the racial taunts, the Herald Sun reports. "Show us your visas, show us your visas," the Australian fans chanted. Indian fans told the Herald Sun that the chant was "offensive, ugly and racist". One said the chant created "a potentially explosive situation". Some Australian fans said that those responsible should have been thrown out of the ground. Twenty-two-year-old Heath Robbins of Geelong said that attacking a person's country was simply not on. "Everyone feels offended when they are attacked on the basis of their residency or where we came from," said an Indian supporter, who asked not to be named. Another said: "It is racist, and yes, we are offended. Cricket
A poll conducted by the People in Need Foundation revealed deep seated racist attitudes among adolescent Czech Republic youth. Almost 80% of them do not like Romany people whom they blame for an “inability to adjust.” They prefer having the government place Romany children in separate schools in order to remove them from daily [...]
There’s an alarming increase in overt racist symbolism and violence in this country. Diversity Inc. magazine reports at least forty-five noose incidents since October 30th. According to police, this September, a twenty-year-old African American woman in West Virginia was kidnapped, raped, tortured, held captive for over a week by six white men and women. Her story received less media attention than the noose incidents.
Former Indian cricket team coach Greg Chappell has claimed that police authorities in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, attempted to play down a serious assault he suffered from
At the People’s Unity Day on Sunday, several groups of racist xenophobic people marched through the streets shouting ugly attacks on ethnic minorities. Many of the marchers were young people who had shaved their heads and wore black army boots and khaki pants as they shouted racist insults. The Movement Against Illegal Immigration mixed with [...]
Biologist James Watson, winner of the 1962 Nobel Prize for his role in discovering the double-helix structure of DNA, is apparently a racist idiot. Click-through to full article here.Watson apologized profusely yesterday for a statement that he made in which he insinuated that black people were not as intelligent as white people. He went on to say that he was "mortified" by public reaction to his comments and that he "cannot understand how (he) could have said what (he is) quoted as having said." Let's take a look at what he actually said and see if we can help him to understand what passed through those unruly lips of his.In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 79-year-old pair of lips molded the air being passed through them into words that indicated that he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours -- whereas all the testing says not really." Here's a shot of Dr. Watson d
Karen Butler-Lynch worked at a homeless shelter whose clientele mainly consisted of black skinned people. After six years of being evaluated as an excellent worker, Mr. Lynch was fired by the executive director, Roz Roach, who informed her that a white skinned person could not understand issues confronting people of color. Unsurprisingly the issue of racism in the next Resident Evil installment has reared it's ugly head once again. A writer over at AlterNet has gone so far as to label the entire series racist rather than just the upcoming Resident Evil 5. The fact that the author only covers Resident Evil 4 and a game that is yet to be released is only the first sign that the article you're about to read is dripping in absurdity. If the author had actually done his research he would have realised that every single game in the series (so far) has white zombies. Not only that but the majority of the games are set in the USA. Resident Evil 4 made the jump to Europe and included 'zombies' with Spanish (not Mexican, as the author points out) accents. Now I don't know about you but I'd find it strange to set the game in an obscure European village and have the zombies sound like Americans. It's all about 'location location!'. Resident Evil 5 includes black zombies because it's set in Haiti/an African country
Naomi Campbell has accused British Vogue of snubbing her simply because she is black.
Naomi said: “I’ve never been on the cover of British Vogue and I’ve asked a million times and they’ve always refused me.They’ll put the same white model for half the year, I swear like six times, but wouldn’t put me on once [...]

The lunatic and racist PM of Australia just floated a plan to ban alcohol and porn from aborigines. They can’t handle it, says he. No mention was made of Anglo alcoholics and porno addicts however. This is just more of that White Man’s Burden garbage, which is simply nasty vicious racism pretending to want to help “savages” become more “civilized”
Quite rightly, many are sickened by his racist attempt to demonize a population. Oh, he didn’t bother to ask aborigine leaders for their input, but you assumed that anyway, right?
This was no doubt a re-election ploy by the PM, one which is now backfiring.
Update: It’s an attempt to grab the ancestral land of aborigines (see comments here too) . Capitalism and racism always have been partners.
