Today, by the way, is a very important day in U.S. history, and an important day, I think, in the world, particularly for the allies.Today is the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. Many are well aware of the importance of this event. This awakened a struggling America to the brutal reality of Hitler and the Imperial Japanese (I say Imperial here because I will not in any way exclaim that the Japanese as a people are at all represented by the actions of WW2). Many lives were lost in this strategic, yet cowardly act and I feel there is cause to remember them, even if you are not an American. In remembrance: Pearl Harbor, the dawn of the last World War...(Don't click the read more, there isn't any more after this!)
Yahya related to me from Malik that Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad said that Abu’d-Darda had said, “Shall I not tell you the best of your deeds, and those that give you the highest rank, and those that are the purest with your King, and are better for you than giving gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks?” They said, “Of course.” He said, “Remembrance (dhikr) of Allah ta ala.” (Imam Malik: Muwatta Book 15 No 15.7.24) Malik related to me from Nuaym ibn Abdullah ibn al-Mujmir from AIi ibn Yahya az-Zuraqi from his father that Rifaa ibn Rafi said, “One day we were praying behind the Messenger of Allah, (SAW), when the Messenger of Allah, (SAW), raised his head from ruku and said, ‘Allah hears the one who praises Him’ (Sami Allahu liman hamidah). A man behind him said, ‘Our Lord, praise belongs to you - blessed, pure and abundant praise’ (Rabbana wa laka’l hamd kathiran tayiban mubarakan fihi). When the Messenger of Allah, (SAW),

Today was the first time I actually looked at a 9/11 victims list. When you hear the total number of victims, it's shocking, but when you actually see it name by name, I can't even describe it. September11Victims.com has every known victim from the World Trade Centers, Pentagon, and each aircraft (including emergency responders). Nearly every victim has a bio that can be accessed by clicking the name. All you troofers who haven't been rightfully executed, go here and educate yourself. In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian ArmyIN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high.
