JAKARTA (Reuters) - A stampede at a rock concert in Indonesia's West Java province killed 10 people and injured several, police said on Sunday. Hundreds of fans had packed a hall to watch a performance by a little known punk rock band in the city of Bandung when the stampede began on Saturday night, said Brigadier Nano Kartono, a local police officer. Most of the dead were teenagers, he said. Bandung city police chief Bambang Suparsono said 15 concert organisers had been questioned, the state-run news agency Antara reported. "We received information that before the crush that ended with deaths, concert organizers distributed free drinks. There was a smell of alcohol," Antara quoted him as saying. Indonesia has seen a number of deadly stampede at concerts in recent years.
Yesterday, I went to the Hard Rock Café with Kumiko to meet up with some of her other Bon Jovi friends to have a so-called Bon Jovi party, which basically means lunch, drinks (just hot tea in my case, I’ve gotten boring recently) and a lot of talking about Bon Jovi. We took a train to Nagoya station where we met up with Akemi, Kyoko and Yumi, all Bon Jovi fans which Kumiko met in January (like me). Akemi, Kyoko, Yumi, Kumiko & LouWe took a cab to the Hard Rock on account of the large amount of bags Yumi was carrying. The prospect of the taxi ride was very exciting to me as it was my first time in a Japanese cab, but obviously it was quite similar to taxis in other parts of the world, except for the automatically opening doors and defect seatbelts in the back. It was good that the others knew where to find the Hard Rock because it is nearly impossible to discover at first sight, as the big entrance was somewhere upstairs at the back of some building.Of course, the first thing I

Last Sunday we have an outing at Rock Spring it is located in Jasaan Misamis Oriental. The travel time from the city to the location area, approximately 45 minutes. As we arrived in rock spring I took pictures with the big trees and the pool, the area are surrounded with huge rocks. That’s why obviously the name itself of the spring is rock spring because of the rocks, hehehe. In a few minutes my boy friend and Junie grilled some fish for our lunch while Risa and Ann made delicious tapioca for our dessert. After our lunch, it’s swimming time I’m having fun and enjoyed the cold water in the spring. In the pool you know girls thing, Carolyn, Risa, Jane, Quennie and I do lots of chitchatting while adoring the cold flowing waters. All in all we are group of twelve having great time in our outing. Rock Band guitar: now with a string!Filed under: News, Hacks / mods, Fan stuffThe music genre argument -- why don't you play a real instrument! -- gets more and more vague as industrious gamers begin to meld game instruments with the real thing. The latest in a string of Frankensteinian efforts is a modification to the Rock Band Stratocaster that bestows the guitar with real guitar strings! Well, actually it bestows the instrument with precisely one guitar string, but it's a start, right? Now you might not look quite as ridiculous when you play the game with a pick. How does it work? The string is attached to a switch (the knobby thing on the left in the image above) which is activated when pressure is applied to the string. Ingenious, we say!
