Orkut has recently improved privacy to give the members control over whether their album, video feeds, scraps and testimonials can be viewed / written by everyone or just their friends. Orkut scrap has been a concern for many people, because anybody could have read anybody's scarp. Social engineers could just browse through any profile and gather personal information about any Orkut member. Not anymore if you set these options in your Orkut Privacy Settings.
