No More Heroes soundtrack composer leads GDC panelFiled under: NewsFor anyone going to the Game Developers' Conference, this session in the Game Design track seems like a must-see. "The Music of Killer 7, God Hand, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and No More Heroes" is a one-hour discussion led by Grasshopper Manufacture's Masafumi Takada, the composer behind all those games' soundtracks. According to the session's official description, "This session delves into how Masafumi Takada went about creating the spectacular musical soundtracks for (the above games)."Each of the extant games has a strong enough soundtrack for this panel to be worth your time. Takada's music has significantly more personality than most game music. Judging from a few samples, we're taking a leap of faith and assuming that No More Heroes will be the same way. Burnout Paradise Soundtrack ListingWhile it was a more appealing feature when racing games were on the original Xbox which didn’t have the ability to play music over any game, the newest game in the Burnout franchise will feature a soundtrack of various artists both well-known and somewhat obscure. WalMart has 30 second samples of each of the tracks from the Ratatouille soundtrack. The soundtrack goes on sale tomorrow (26th June) for $USD14.88 at WalMart or $USD12.97 at Amazon with a SRP of $USD18.98. Sounds good to me!UPDATE: The soundtrack is now available for purchase on the iTunes Store. Click here to visit it's iTunes page, where there are 30 second samples from each song plus an album only video at the end titled "Looks for Saffron" which is just a 55 second scene from the film. The album on the iTunes Store costs $USD11.99, cheaper then both WalMart and Amazon, plus you get a scene from the film with it!Also available is What's Cooking? which is a compilation of songs inspired by the film.
