Glamorous frocks took a backseat at the Sports Illustrated 2008 Swimwear launch. Instead, lasses like Bar Rafaeli showed off cleavage, killer pins and pouts galore. Heck, we reckon there may just be a shortage of lip gloss in the model world now, with all the shiny lip-plumping that went on in front of the camera. And this wasn't even the real swimwear shoot.Rather, it was the press conference and party of the Sports Illustrated 2008 swimwear edition in New York City. The edition features a total of 19 models, with model Marisa Miller adorning the magazine cover, shot in exotic locations ranging from the Cayman and Virgin Islands to Maui.Tough gig, eh?Saunter off to our gallery to see Bar Rafaeli and the rest of the crew at the Sports Illustrated party.Warning: Some of them have nice bodies. Damn it.Tori Praver shows off her truly stunning figure.Another girl from Brazil, Daniella Sarahyba sports a kimono-style frock-up.Ingrid Vandebosch's look is near-on trashy, but we like a
As if you needed another reason to run out and buy the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, the coveted cover features Marisa Miller topless. Yeah, that's right, the hottest swimsuit model around, Marisa Miller, is topless on the single biggest magazine of the year. Talk about exposure.
PS3 Fanboy review: Go! Sports SkydivingFiled under: Reviews, e-Distribution Games By standardizing the titles for these PSN releases, it's clear that Sony intends to create a brand for the Go! Sports series. But why? By now, any educated gamer will know that the Go! Sports line means one thing -- and that isn't "quality." Go! Sports Ski was an awful game that featured unplayable controls, sloppy graphics, and an abysmal amount of content. No wonder it only cost $2. Go! Sports Skydiving is priced higher than its predecessor, at $5. But is it worth it?Well, depends on what scale you're using. Compared to Go! Sports Ski, this game is an incredible improvement. Of course, that doesn't say much.Gallery: Go! Sports SkydivingContinue reading PS3 Fanboy review: Go! You know what I love about sports? Hot chicks in bikinis. Sports, like rock and roll, is just a way to get girls to dress in skimpy outfits and take their tops off when they get drunk. That’s why every year Sports Illustrated, the illustrious journal of the pantheon of sports throws everything out the [...]

When you talk about sports fitness, what comes first in your mind? It is, basically, the different sports activities, right? This is because sports fitness has always been referred to as the sports itself. Generally, sports entail physical activities that are usually carried out for some “recreational” functions such as self-satisfaction, entertainment, competition, etc. It uses physical activity that is why most fitness experts regard sports as one way of staying fit and healthy. It can also be considered as one way of physical fitness; the only difference is that sports fitness is more inclined to the development of skill or ability. However, like physical fitness, sports fitness is also capable of toning down the body fats of a person. Because of its rigid and strict health program, a sports enthusiast is able to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle in order to cope up with the strenuous demands of sports. In sports, people should learn how to value their health. Otherwise
I tune over to WKRK, 97.1 The Ticket, as I'm not a Jim Rome guy. Thanks to that unfortunate decision, I found myself listening to some of the most irritating radio I've EVER heard. Yes, even more irritating than Rome...Scott Anderson and Doug Karsh have spent the last half hour arguing over the following...Was Eli Manning's prayer to David Tyree was a good or bad pass? I've lost part of my pitiful life listening to the most asinine, stupid and what the fuck forced discussion I've ever heard. By the way, that sound you hear is me kicking my own ass for listening to this tripe. Are things that slow in Detroit that LOCAL sports talk radio is rehashing 1 fucking play in the Super Bowl? They could be discussing something closer to home, and much more meaningful. Say the absolute rampage the Red Wings and Pistons are on, or the Tigers signing Curtis Granderson. But no! Let's not cover the 3 teams who may be the beat in their respective leagues. Let's spend the afternoon lamely arguing utter b
Michigan and Michigan State: As the winter goes along, Big 10 basketball remains a rumor to me. Though it turned out not having an opportunity to watch Michigan State somehow lose to bottom feeder Penn State was doing me a solid. By losing to both Iowa and Penn St., the Spartans are doing their damnedest to piss away a 1 or 2 seed, and a chance to play at Ford Field in the NCAA's.Spartans Weblog has already kissed off any chances at their winning the Big 10 title...I now consider our chances of winning the Big Ten title to be precisely zero. We’ve played four conference road games now–all against the bottom six teams in the conference–and come away just 2-2. We have five conference road games remaining–four of them against the four other top-tier teams in the conference plus a game against an Illinois team that easily could have beaten us Wednesday night. We’ll be lucky to win two of those five games. There's always the Big 10 tournament, right? Let's hope Tom Izzo can pull

When do we ever tire of sports? The answer is 'never.' I love the new sports websites. Participating in communities like this can connect us with the hobbies we have always enjoyed. Why do people think they need to avoid their favorite haunts, just because they are older. One benefits of online sites is that you get freebies. You can watch online rugby games from the web, no cable needed. Keep on top of the entire industry. So, before you sit down to watch another television rerun, take a look at the 'real' entertainment offered on the web.Life Just Keep Getting Better And Better
From Daily Mail:
It's the sort of car that any self-respecting secret agent would be proud to be seen in. This high-speed amphibious sports car can swim, hover above water and it's no slouch when it comes to flat-out speed either. At the push of a button a hydraulic mechani
When traveling to Germany, there are certainly a lot of things tourists and travelers can do. If ever you find yourself traveling to Germany and all of a sudden your favorite sport team is playing or your favorite singer is holding a concert right where you are at, where do you go to in search of concert or sports tickets? At Viagogo, you can get either konzert tickets, sports tickets, and even theater tickets. You can register at the Viagogo site, and book the tickets right then and there. Or, you can just browse available tickets and take it from there.I was personally amazed at the wide selection of artists available and all the shows one could watch. I could watch and book tickets for stand-up comedy, sports, or even Bon Jovi. I had the optionsof watching Bon Jovi in several dates and venues like in the Amsterdam Arena, in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and/or in Stuttgart. Or I could go and instead watch the Foo Fighters, the Backstreet Boys, Bruce Springsteen, Korn, and the Chemical Brothers
In my opinion sports are one of the best inventions man has ever made. Sports have united countries, caused wars, created friendships and rivalries, provided us with some of the most memorable moments and upsets, and made those holidays bearable. However, some people believe that the best part about sports is being able to put a few dollars on the game and make it more exciting to watch. I must admit that I am not one of these people - I enjoy sports without the thrill of gambling on them, but I can understand why people do it.football betting is big business and it really doesn't matter if you are talking about soccer football or American football - they are both really popular. However you can bet on almost everything these days and online betting is so popular (and easy I must say) these days. Betfair is one of these online sites and it is one of the more popular sports betting sites. As you would expect the site is really well designed and is too easy to use. You will be able to fi
Every network that shows sporting events has music for certain sports. Right now we will look over some of the bone chilling music that gets us excited and ready to watch the sports that we love! No matter what the sport. The Masters on CBSHere is the full length version of CBS's theme song for the annual Masters in Augusta, GA. The music is great, they don't play the guy singing for their actual theme song on TV, but I could only find the full version of the CBS Masters Theme Song. One of my favorites...CBS College FootballProbably my favorite music of any channel for College Football. It just gets me pumped up for the big SEC game. Very catchy...NBA on NBCJust loved the "NBA on NBC" music, especially for the Finals.NFL on CBSI really like the NFL on CBS, very cool, and I like the short version they do right before they go to breaks. We'll get to witness some this weekend.Monday Night FootballHow can you not love this?CBS College BasketballLove the College BBall theme for CBS. Just gre
WXYT has spend the past half hour talking Pistons. Mid-day hosts Scott Anderson and Doug Karsh are talking Pistons half assed, with only one host (Karsh) making sense, but at least they're talking Pistons. What got me going was the clueless Anderson crucifying the Pistons for their admittedly ugly, but ultimately inconsequential, loss to the Knicks Sunday night. Even worse, most callers are agreeing with his know-nothing ass. The discussion is turning into the lame, beat to death, "Pistons have no heart" argument.Couple of things...First off, I HATE the "Have no heart" argument. I DESPISE IT! It's totally subjective, not based on any facts, especially when coming from fans who only see the team from a distance on TV. How do you measure heart? How can a team that beats the Celtics on the road, the first team to have done so this season, have no heart? It's totally nonsensical claim, arbitrarily measuring the unmeasurable. The Pistons did beat the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night, whi
If you're like me, you've had a difficult time following Notre Dame's winter sports after graduating. Football is easy - you just turn on the TV every Saturday, and there they are. But the basketball and hockey teams play at irregular times during the week, and they're not always on TV. That's why I came up with this consolidated schedule, complete with TV listings. In the words of a certain SDH card swiper, "Enjoy."Click here to see the entire schedule in a new window.
If you are a Detroit sports junkie, like myself, you tend to listen to a ton of local sports talk radio. (I'm still saving my pennies towards a satellite radio) Which means you listen to both all-sports stations in town, WDFN and WKRK/WXYT. Both stations have been somewhat in flux, thanks to the massive economic downturn we are experiencing in the D.There have been firings, such as the elimination of DFN's morning show, Jamie and Brady, and the not very amicable parting between KRK and Deminski and Doyle. Then the rehiring of 1/2 of DFN's morning show, Jamie Samuelson, now going solo. There's also the scheduling of odd shows that don't fit a sports format, specifically KRK's unlistenable Motor City Mornings, which has a TMZ, Perez Hilton, lowest common denominator sensibility to it. Not exactly something that appeals to the 25-54 male demo, which I'll still a member of for quite some time.Things are getting even more interesting in the competition between the 2 stations. Deca Sports on WiiHoping to appeal to sports fans that have the Wii, Hudson Entertainment has announced that it is bringing Deca Sports, a unique ten-sport game, exclusively to the console this Summer. The game combines ten sporting events into one title - beach volleyball, snowboard cross, badminton, basketball, curling, figure skating, archery, supercross, soccer and kart racing. “We have seen tremendous growth in the casual sports gaming market in the last few years, and saw an opportunity that would be a perfect fit for the Nintendo Wii” said John Greiner, President and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. “With Deca Sports we wanted to offer a sports package that is unrivaled in terms of sheer number of available sports. More importantly, the game is easy to play, but offers layers of depth that even hardcore sports enthusiasts will love to play.” As expected, the sports in the game will use the Wii remote in unique ways. For example, a subtle swing of the remote w
Hu Ziwei is a (former) business anchor of Beijing TV Station. She was recently shot to the international fame after the video showing her embarrassing husband Zhang Bin, a famous sports anchor on China's CCTV 5 channel, was originally uploaded to the video portal Tudou.com and later Youtube.com. Ziwei bravely scolded Zhang Bin for betraying her by having an improper affair with another woman
