I have a Wordpress-based travel blog, New York Traveler.net, and I utilize Google Maps as an interactive method of mapping my travels and for easy reference. Google Maps are great because you can do so much with them, and you can customize the size you want to put the map on your blog. So I put my New York Travel map on a separate page on the blog. Yet I was only able to put a small portion of my map on the page, because all my blog's pages have the basic blog's template header, footer, and sidebars. I wanted to keep the header and footer, but I didn't want the sidebars and I wanted the map to expand the entire width of the page.I only wanted to have this style for just that one map page-- all my other pages I still wanted the sidebars. There was nothing in the Wordpress options that enabled me to change the page's style for only this one page.I am pleased to say that I figured it out! It wasn't terribly difficult (trial and error). I was wondering why there are Photobucket images appearing on my blog. I have to admit, it took me a couple of hours to figure out what the problem is. Apparently, my template and it's images are hosted on Photobucket, and the bandwidth has been exceeded already. I may need to get a new blog template, which is fine by me. I just need to save all of my widgets and choose a new one.Hmmm....Things I have in mind are that the template still needs to be 3 columns with my posts to the left. I think a new look is in order.

Buongiorno, anzi, buonasera signori!
Stasera sono qua a postarvi un template di quelli semplici semplici che a me piacciono un sacco. S'intitola "Coffee Time": bianco e rosso, lineare e pratico, sebbene gli spazi un po' ristretti limitino gli amanti delle grandi immagini. Ora, siccome ho cambiato pc, vi sarei grata se mi segnalaste eventuali problemi di visualizzazione o errori vari, così da poterli correggere, in caso. :)
Non c'è molto altro da dire, se non che la parte grafica di questo template non è di semplicissima modifica, visto che la parte d'immagine è strutturalmente complessa, e agganciata direttamente ai bordi. Avevo preparato l'header da secoli, e attualmente non ricordo nè dove l'ho preso, nè se l'ho lavorato o altro. Fosse coperto da copyright, avvertitemi che lo modifichiamo immediatamente.

Hmmm...I've never really given it much thought, but initially, when I chose this blog template, I tried and changed it to about dozens of others before sticking with this one for months now. What made me stay with this blog is the fact that it has everything I wanted in a template - three columns with my posts on the left.I don't exactly know why I like my posts on the left, but I do. And I keep all of my ads and other stuff like links, my profile and other info on the right. I guess it just gives me a sense of visual pleasure that there's nothing blocking my readers from reading what I wrote and if they like, they can take a look at the ads I have up.Come to think of it, my blog does sort of reflect a bit of myself! I like seeing things as they are, so maybe that's why I like seeing my posts first before the ads. But although my template is really organized (in my opinion), I'm no way near organized in reality. It takes me one whole day to organize the dresser my husband and I share.

Ok, questo non so se piacerà, ma io lo adoro e quindi lo posto lo stesso.
Diciamo che più che un template vero e proprio è, come ho annunciato nel titolo del post, un template di servizio: in molti infatti mi hanno chiesto di creare un template semplice semplice che avesse colonne bianche e sfondo grigio. E questo ce l'ha.. volendo, cambiare l'header (che io trovo delizioso *.*) con uno tutto personale è decisamente una cavolata. :)
Comunque, passo alla descrizione. Per la prima volta ho usato un carattere diverso dal Verdana e dallo Georgia, per riprendere un po' la frase piazzata in cima. Il font in questione è il Century Gothic, e non sono ancora del tutto convinta d'aver fatto bene ad usarlo, però effettivamente l'effetto visivo è gradevole. Non so leggendo a lungo se possa risultare fastidioso, ma quello in caso starà a voi cambiarlo.

E' un po' lento a caricarsi, l'immagine è un po' pesante, ma è un template che vale, soprattutto nei colori. Rosso, giallo, arancio, e una specie di magenta direi a far da sfondo, mettono allegria e non stancano troppo l'occhio.
Azzeccatissima l'accoppiata frase-immagine: strange days have found us ci sta a pennello con la foto d'una ragazza capovolta con in mano una pistola ad acqua, in una camera da bambini.
Piazzato a sinistra, s'adatta agli 800x600 tranquillamente. Colonne larghe, è prettamente da ragazza, direi. :)
