You'd think I'd blog more now that summer is upon us and my days are more leisurely, but, alas I don't. What can I say? that's life. Fortunately I've found something fun to occupy what could be an overabundance of free time: tennis.
I love it. We play at least three times a week, and I am loving every minute of it. In fact, I'm getting pretty good too. I still don't deliver a mean serve, but my backhand is much more reliable, and I can finally choose where my forehand shots will land. Lots of work before I play professionally, of course, but it's a start.
The best part is that I get the exercise I need without having to go it alone. I get a partner, and Liz and I love playing together. We're pretty evenly matched, and we give each other a pretty hard run from time to time. Sometimes she wins a game, and sometimes I win a game, although I almost always take the set—don't tell her I said that!
