Earlier this week movie sites were abuzz with talk of a clip that was shown on one of the TV Celebrity Gossip “News” shows. The clip in questions was a short preview of the upcoming Robert Redford directed and starring film Lions for Lambs.
The short and skinny of it is that injuries sustained by two Army ranger behind enemy lines in Afghanistan set off a sequence of events involving a congressman, a journalist and a professor.
Along with Redford, who is be playing the professor, is Tom Cruise as the Congressman and Meryl Streep as the journalist.
This is Redford’s first return behind the camera since 2000’s like warm The Legend of Bagger Vance and this looks a little to “out of the 80’s” for me. Cruise looks like he’s reviving Lt. Daniel Kaffee.
