  Wal-Mart abrió en México su primer banco en el mundo con cuatro sucursales, con el lema “Tan fácil como ir al súper”, la compañía espera cerrar el año con 15 sucursales adicionales y abrir 60 más en 2008, para dar servicios financieros “de una forma fácil y confiable”.   Retailers are really starting to get the holiday shopping ball rolling.  Sales have been slow, so stores will likely lure savvy shy shoppers with big sales this holiday season.  WalMart is leading the pack with incredible early deals in their effort to edge out the competition.  This week they announced they will be revealing new "secret in-store" specials beginning this Friday.  This is in addition to the more than 15,000 items they've reportedly discounted in the past few weeks.  If toys and consumer electronics are on your list this year, keep an eye on WalMart's "Secret" page.

  WalMart is exclusively selling a 2-Pack edition of Cars on DVD. Now I bet you're all saying, "But they already did sell a 2-Pack and all it had was some music videos and other lame stuff." Well, actually, this is a different 2-Pack. It contains most of the features from the Blu-Ray edition of the DVD due on November 9.   hh, lazy Sundays...Okay, so since a friend of mine wanted to be one of the last to see Evan Almighty (that's still in theaters? haha), I reluctantly agreed, and we decided to "dine" at a Red Lobster beforehand. Of course it was packed since it's Sunday and you get the combination of the usual random people and then those who just left church...like a Walmart on Sunday it was crowded and chaotic. At least the food was decent enough after they tried to fill us up on salad and those cheese biscuits...I had grilled rainbow trout and mashed potatoes...apparently the key to all of the recipes in there is white wine - it's in everything from the lemon butter sauce on my dinner to even the biscuits...here is a basic recipe for those cheesy biscuits, I was shocked (Recipezaar.com)!You'd probably be better off making these and pulling the grill out for your seafood than waiting an hour (in a cold and dark establishment) after sitting down...you can skip people staring at each other chewing
