  While I've been busy on my promotional campaign for this blog I've noticed a few things about linking and the results I get back from the link popularity checkers. Right now I have about 172 links showing from yahoo site explorer http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/default.htm, about 180 from alltheweb, and about the same for alt vista. yet from Google I've got none! This is the info I got from using Marketleaps backlink checker. However, I then used a different checker and got some different results. Here at: Backlink Checker, I am showing only 6 back links but these are found on googles servers. So why the discrepancy between google's results and yahoo and gang? Google deliberately shows minimal information regarding backlinks so you can't copy someone else's success. But just to make sure, I submitted the url's with my links on them to google. Now, just to maintain a little balance I am trying to make sure that I don't go hog wild on just chasing pagerank. I also want to rank well

  In the previous post, I responded to Frederick using a term that’s been sitting in the general knowledge repository in my brain and I didn’t think it would kickstart a post, but it has.
