Which SAP module to chose between XI , BW or SD.
2007-12-30 03:11:06
have almost 7 years of J2EE server side development experience.Recently I joined a company which is basically a SAP shop. Ihave been interacting a lot with the Supply Chain, Inventory Mgtmodule. Primarily I am involved in functional specs to map outsource systems and get the data to an Oracle destinationWarehouse. I have been doing this for 1 year and am quitefamiliar with SAP navigation, transactions like SE16, SE11,SE38. I sometimes even debug ABAP code although I am not sofamilair with ABAP as I am with Java.I want to move into SAP fulltime but am confused as to what pathI should take. I am located in the US and am aware of a lot ofABAP jobs being moved off shore. Therefore I want to get into asecure area in SAP. My choices are as follows:1) SD module training and then try and get into an SD project.2) BW training and then try and get into BW project.3) XI training and then try and move to an XI project. I amthinking that XI might help to use my 7 years of IT experiencein J2EE and ...
