MMA Dream Match Up 101 - JOsh Barnett VS Mark Coleman
2007-11-14 05:26:00
One of the most dreamed match up that never did happened in the world of mma. I would really love to see this fight happen Josh Barnett "the baby face assassin" Vs Mark " The Hammer" Coleman.being two of the greatest champion mma has to offer. I always thought of this fight if what will happen? so what do you think would be the result? If this fight ended up in the ground and the hammer will be on top hammer in his primes would demolish Barnett in no time, but Barnett also has a great guard and jiu jitsu skills. If they were to stand up josh has the reach and striking advantage. It is hard to conclude who will win in this one? what do you think? ...

Is Kimbo Slice a Street Fighter?
2007-09-25 14:46:00
Is Kimbo Slice a Street Fighter? First of all who is Kimbo? Well I know many of you internet surfers know this guy pretty well. He is a former under ground bare-knuckle boxer and a porn producer bodyguard. He turned to MMA and beat the former heavy weight Champion boxer Rey Mercer. Got a training lesson from the Former Ufc Haevey Weight Champion Bas “el guapo” Rutten. What I like about this guy is he did display Mma skills when he fought the big guy Mercer, Putting in a good guillotine choke. Shows that even in his age still willing to learn new stuff. Does have a great teacher and a heart of a warrior. So back to our question, Is Kimbo a street fighter? Well of course he is.! Almost every one of us is a street fighter. To back up this conclusion first let us see what is street fighting. “Street fighting is a term used to denote unsanctioned, usually illegal, hand-to-hand fighting in public places. The term also usually carries the connotation that the fighters are largely ...

My Hero!! I believe that he is the God Of MMA, A practitioner of Judo and Sambo and always shows these style in his fights putting judo in action and this guy has an excellent striking arsenal, with a very superior wrestling in the form of judo. His ground and pound is the best, he pound in every fighters guard like they don’t have the guard, his submission are flawless look at what he did to the Olympic wrestler Matt Linland. He just executes techniques with finesse and textbook applications. Beats every big fighters that Mma could ever put him with in the ring, He made Mirko” Crocop” Filipovic Looks like he is a novice striker by slugging it out with him and emerge as more superior even in striking. Beats The giant Semmy Schults in his Pride Debut, Knock outs the living Crap of Garry Goodridge. Makes Antonio Nogueira looks like he doesn’t know Brazilian jujitsu. Drops the huge Sulu like a piece of big turd. And Escape the best suplex Kevin Randleman could ever apply in his wh ...

Noted To be the Greatest Martial Artist of All Time He fought the best of his time, from the names like Ken Shamrock, Frank Shamrock, Funaki, Tk, Kevin Randleman, Suzuki, Vernon White, Maurice Smith, And what I always dreamed that should happen is A fight With The legendary Rickson Gracie. He is a very Well known figure in the MMA community, being a very good actor; a colorful commentator always had a great humor. His fighting ability is very excellent, used to be a stand up fighter but when he fought in Pancrase ,his early loss leads him to train submission fighting and now he is one of the best in the ground game as we can see he can dominate even if he is in the guard position, in the fight between him and Randleman. And better known to be a great Teacher training Mark Kerr, Now Kimbo and the maker Of Bas Rutten’s Big Books of Combat and Big DVD’s of Combat. The Former Ufc Heavyweight Champion of the world, The former 3 times King Of Pancrase, The former prideFC commentator, a ...

Barnett became the youngest UFC heavyweight champion after defeating Randy Couture in early 2002. Later that year, the title was stripped from Barnett after he tested positive for EQ aka Boldenone, an anabolic steroid. My top ten favorite fighter of all time No. 9

Another one of my top favourite fighter, RICKSON GRACIE.. Born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, and brother of the former Ufc champion Royce Gracie. Well in my point of view he is one of those men that really excelled in Brazilian jujitsu having claimed winning 400 fights and just 1 loss to a Sambo match in which he didn’t know the proper rules. Being considered the best Gracie jujitsu fighter at all time, but I still would have loved to see him fought those great names of his times, like Bas Rutten. Remember when bas challenged him in pancrase? Wow! I still would love to see that happen. And the names like Marco Ruas, frank shamrock I’m still thinking why he didn’t fought these names? But seeing him fight in some of the clips that I saw he is really a phenomenal BJJ fighter. Some claims him to be the best MMA fighter but I don’t think so, He is one of the best though. But his stand up skills is not that good, but he makes it up by using is excellent ground skills. More One Rickson ...

I meet my instructor Roger Conos. And he is the head Instructor of arnis de vera at that time because our teacher is in the US. Our art focus mainly on knife fight, Single stick style. Corto or close quarter And we have three rankings.1. Puti = White Belt in Other Style.2. Luntian = Green Belt3. Arnisador = BlackI trained for 5 months and the sir roger decided to test me with those other members actually that time frame in our art should not yet be tested but I try to show them that I can catch up and even do better than most of his older students and we tested. The test composed of basic strikes and there blocks in real time no padding. And the last two parts is a stick combat, I had big lumps in my head after wards because I got hit in my forehead. After that we spar in Multiple attackers and I mean we don’t have kata style we fight real time my goodness! my hands after wards have lots of strikes in it, but it was worth it when they promoted me and pass the test. Although I might not be the best, but I have studied years in my small city of baguio and able enough to share you what i have learned in arnis. But first ley me tell you my story in starting this art. First I went to a Local Ymca gym but I have noticed there are different styles I see this other group before and they have pretty much lots of student and I try to compare it to this one group and at that time they are just two of them training. actually I’m no new into arnis because I have studied arnis when I was high school under Mr. Macayan a arnis instructor in The province of Pangasinan. When I wen to college I trained in different martial arts actually, like judo, BJJ, and karate, boxing. But I get to see the effectively of arnis when I seen a navy seal video and they look like the techniques that I used to train in high school, so I decided if this elite force use it, then It is effective. And there I went on to see lots of groups but I was fascinated by this Arnis de mano gro ...

Street Fight Technique 101_1
2007-07-26 17:14:00
This Is simple but yet effective Techniques in any fight.. well in street of course! Simple simple.. The scenario is you are standing and some One tries to attack you for example he wants to punch your face? I don't know what his reason maybe the guy is nuts. Then what would you do? 1. Maybe block? If you can..? 2. Bob and try to take him down like a BJJ expert that you are..? Well if you are on the mats or in a beach, maybe..3. Jump and kick his face 20 times then jump to walls while escaping like jackie chan? great movie!!!!4. Pose then you put your arms together and say this words... KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAA!!!!5. If you think much about those things upstairs, i would better recommend this... RUN...So now ask me what? where is the technique?here is it..What you do is to look calm, try to say this words.. sorry please i don't want to fight.. then BOOOOOM!!!! Give it all you got... KICK to the GROIN!! then if he goes down kick to abdomen.. The after that do number 5 options. Remember ...

Personal Views on Street Fight
2007-07-24 21:47:00
Street Fight? Hmm.. maybe some of you still believed that if yo are a black belt in martial arts you can dominate the street eh? Guess what you are WRONG!!! I’ve seen some decent fighters in gym and tournament winners, end up beaten worst is dead in a street combat. Street fight is totally different from martial arts even in mixed martial arts. In competition you are only focused in winning and fighting your opponent outside the ring you would be considering a lot. See and take this into consideration when you are in a street fight.1. Terrain2. How many attackers3. Armed or and armed4. Your Condition5. No time to Psyched up6. No time to Warm UpLet’s talk about the first one see what if you are fighting in a tight location, alleyway or something would you be willing to go to the ground? Maybe, if you think you can get away with it. But for me? Not a good idea. what if it doesn’t have the comfortability of the mats you used to train onto? What if the floor has broken glasses? See? ...

Mixed Martial Arts???
2007-07-24 13:50:00
What is mixed martial arts? Well this one is very broad topic considering its name "mixed" means mixture of all martial art and that would be a lot. By definition “Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a combat sport in which a wide variety of fighting techniques are used, including striking and grappling. Modern mixed martial arts emerged in 1985 with Satoru Sayama's creation of the Shooto league, followed by Pancrase and the Ultimate Fighting Championships in 1993. The history of the modern sport can be traced to the Gracie family's vale tudo martial arts tournaments in Brazil starting in the 1920s, and early mixed martial arts matches hosted by Antonio Inoki in Japan in the 1970s. The sport gained international exposure and widespread publicity in the United States in 1993, when Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter Royce Gracie dominated the Ultimate Fighting Championship, sparking a revolution in Western martial arts,[1] while in Japan the continued interest in the sport resulted in 1997's cr ...
